I was surprisingly shocked at how good this movie is 40 years after the original.
So, in other words, it wasn't "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny"
I was very disappointed on Coming to America II, "if ain't broke don't fix it"! and of course they changed up the move and Coming to America II was horrible....
@@michaelkrolewski7406 wait indiana jones did a reboot?
@@Bruce_LeRoyy It was terrible and instantly forgettable
@@Bruce_LeRoyy Coming II America was pretty bad which is why I had low expectations for BHC Axel F.
Who is here july 2024 to give love for Beverly hills cop after 40 years ??
@@bodyslamchannel I am!!!
for sure i am.forever
The amount of people who have the Beverly Hills Cop theme as their ringtone even today is astounding.
Lowkey that might be my alarm clock music
I would love to have BHC theme as a ringtone. I know I want the knight rider theme as a ringtone.
But I’m too cheap. I don’t wanna pay for it. 🤣
I thought I was the only one! 🤣🤣😆
Have you counted them ?!?
That's me
All of us 90's kids wanted to learn Axel theme
and the majority of them mistakenly thought it was the Miami Vice theme, some to this very day.
80s🎉
Honestly, we just wanted to be stealthy in a room with this music playing.
judge reinhold is a national treasure. would love to just chat with him for a few hours. his interview on Rich Eison was epic
Jus saw the movie!!!
Very fckn GOOD!!!🎉💪🏾
Exactly, a lot of F bombs 💣
We must’ve watched different movies, I thought it sucked!
@@Newbomb_Turks_Punch No you watch the right movie you're just 20yrs old is why you don't get it....
@@Bruce_LeRoyy I seen the first one in theaters, my guy. I stand by my opinion.
@Newbomb. Some people might think you’re a great guy, some may think you suck. It’s subjective & you can’t please everyone 😊
They did so good with the new edition. Loved how they included stuff and people from the old movies
They had too, look what happened to Coming to America II they changed it up and it was terrible
Call it nostalgia, but it was great to see a comedy/action film again. And whoever did the makeup/effects on those gunshots did an excellent job.
Kevin bacon looks like he barley aged lol
I enjoyed this film. It's a ridiculous throwback to a less stressful time. No politics, no preaching at the audience just a fun popcorn flick.
No politics? It was the Reagan era, it was a horrible decade.
@@TheLOD2099 Economy grew under Reagan, however the old man Ronald made some very bad decisions that effected the economy soon after he left office....... You don't see disney shoving their agenda down our throats or since it's Neflix replacing Taggart or Rosewood with black actors LOL!
@@TheLOD2099Definitely God can't stand magats they think anything is woke if it's not their orange master trump
Thank you! People forget Reaganomics. He and the decade were a joke. The other day someone quoted Wang Chung and El Debarge. Those two songs TOTALLY deceive the impact of the 80s. While it was Everybody Have Fun Tonight, my family was in a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn where my dad was laid off from a taxi job. When it was Rhythm of the Night I remember burying one neighbor every 3 months because of a crack overdose. It was not glitz and glamorous unless you were white, well off, and had people who cared about you. Think about this; no people of color in Brat Pack movies. And don’t gimme that Long Duck Dong shit!
@@andrewmackey2019 President Reagan was the hero of the 80s. He saved this country, and the world from Soviet aggression and undid years of disastrous Democratic policies.
We NEEDED this movie!! It won't win any Oscars BUT... Wow, fun, fun .. Thank you! I was 10 when the 1st one was released 🌄🐻
I'd going to hold on to hope to think it will get a grammy.
I agree the movie was soo nostalgic, the beginning and all the actors Great Movie!
The interviewee took the words right out of my mouth. The year Beverly Hills Cop was released was the same year as Kevin Bacon's 'Footloose'. 2 really big hits of 1984!
1984 what a year. I think it's the best year ever!
and a brief appearance from Christopher McDonald, who was in Breakin’ from the same year, 1984 😂
"'Was that computers?" IM WEAK! LMAOOOOO!!!
Bacon just trying to “work out my demons” haa
Dude I’m just glad they did a sequel and not a damn remake!!😏
Definitely no kevin Hart stars as axel f bs it's eddie murphy og no one can do it better
It was actually very good. I thoroughly enjoyed. I almost wish it wasn’t on Netflix and was a regular release
What I loved most about it is that it had that 80s feel again. Loved how they used the old songs etc.
God WE missed you Judge Reinhold!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Relieved to see the main cast still alive. Looking forward to this.
I cant believe it isnt rated higher on IMDB. I was waiting for it to come out and i LOVED it. Was it as great as the first one? No but it is a close second
Such a great movie sequel! After 40 years! 40! Well done!
I really wish Eddie knew such inspiration he was, especially I wanted to laugh like him which it eventually came out naturally. I felt so cool and I occasional still goof out that iconic laughter from time to time 😂
Just watched it..
F#CKING ❤ it!!!
Took me back to my childhood. I missed Axel and the Gang.
The Terminator also came out in 1984, and was rebooted
In some ways I almost feel that Beverly Hills Cop and Terminator take place in the same universe
A good movie in this entertainment world
The laugh was hilarious
Classic!! Loved so happy they brought most of the original cast
Watched it a few days ago. Really good movie and I enjoyed it.
this was def better than I expected..especially after the let down of coming 2 america part 2. only missed having gilbert gottfried show up. and yeah the soundtrack made me smile ..pointer sisters!
Gilbert's voice ❤❤
9:50 Actually it was nominated for Best Song. Bob Seger Shakedown 🎵
Beverly Hills Cop was the first VHS tape that I bought and watched for years.
Full marks to Herr Faltermeyer, the composer of Axel F. The film's identifying theme music became so popular on the charts, too. I enjoyed the new movie as well.
Hats off to everyone involved
Really loved this!
Whoever came up with this formula should be commended.. Because it works like a charm.. Kinda a shame they don’t crank out these kinda movies now with more regularity like they did in the 80’s.. I really do love BHC but I think I may even put Midnight Run & 48 Hours even higher
The movie is really good. Not just a nostalgia play. Kevin Bacon and Joseph were great additions. Excellent actors.
Kinda sad the guy felt he had to suppress his natural expression of joy. His laugh was a big part of what made his character endearing and made the movie feel like a fun time. While I enjoyed BHC4, it could’ve used his laugh.
He said in interview he can’t make it anymore naturally, he doesn’t laugh this anymore. But you're right, this was cool
@JesterHammer no shit. You literally watched him say that in the video he's commenting on.
They should've had more scenes with the Big 3 together, Foley, Billy, and Taggert
i will always love Beverly Hills Cop period.
I had to get the Intrada Harold Faltermeyer score on CD. Axel F is like the Pink Panther theme--it comes up whenever Axel is up to some mischief!
This interviewer was wrong: Beverly Hills Cop was the highest grossing movie that year .
Loved it!!!
Highly recommended
Eddie we need that laugh back for Beverly Hills Cop V 😉
Its part of Axel Foley in movie 1+2.
It was a great throwback flick! Nice to see something just so fun.
It was such a fun movie i loved it
Eddie is the GOAT
It was a much better movie than the third movie!!
Eddie talked about how they underutilized the villian in the third one. It still had some funny moments for me as a kid. When he dressed up like a mascot and hugged the kids, then gets hit, lmao.
Awesome movie!!
This movie was awesome I loved it took me back.
Should have been in the theaters
Great to see John Ashton
❤❤❤❤❤ best series 😊
It was great!
Beverly hills was a must for sequals and need another 1 or 2
Naw go out with a bang no need to keep milking it too many franchises do that crap
Eddie's almost doing stand up routines during the junket
Its was good.
That's it. I'm watching it today 🎉🎉
Reinhold is definitely noticed more for Santa clause
Fast times
Legends
Liked John Ashton in Some Kind of Wonderful with Eric Stoltz
Genius
Former President Gerald Ford right there
Definitely better than the 3rd movie nothing tops part one
quality movie
This movie put the Beverly Hills Cop series back on track!!!! Part 3 strayed away from the formula, for me!
Had this movie on beta max
Coolness !
I enjoyed it
I didn't know Ralph macchio directed this ! Lol
Where did you get that info from?
I just love Kevin Bacon
I must say these are the only cops cool in my book
🎉 I completely enjoyed Axel and the gang. Serge was a great surprise 🎉❤🎉
I loved the movie
Take note Hollywood
This was made by Hollywood lol
Beverly hills 5🎬😎🔥to be released soon on netflix on June 24 in 2026 .👍😊
I felt like Levitt was in the wrong movie.
Btw is that Joe Montana standing next to Taggart? 11:04
Is he back????! That Tracy Morgan bit made me kind of think he is!!!!
God is kind to 90s kids❤
Kevin Ageless Bacon
I know it's not in the film proper, but you should have at least 100 sins to its Oscar Nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
Man I didn’t know Ralph Macchio directed this movie. Far out
He didn't, where did you get this information?
It’s a joke. The director looks like Ralph Macchio. It’s called humor
@@cszmax Not really, bad humor.
My humor. But all good. Peace
Haven't seen this yet. Was it amazing?
It was good. Just finished it, watch it.
Cant wait for part 5
I throughly enjoyed it was a good movie
Back to memory lane how action film suppose to be made
9.5 💕 amazing
Its not bad its not great its formulaic but fun
Am I the only one who actually liked part 3??
It needed more rosewood and taggart
We need Damon wayans back "You take those bananas"😅😅😅
The best were 1 and 2. But 4. Is a good movie. Better than 3
Ryan Coogler pitched a COMING TO AMERICA sequel idea? Although, Eddie said he didn’t like it, I’d love to hear Coogler’s pitch. The actual sequel was mid.
It's an okay movie in my personal opinion 🤷.
it's probably the best next action movie after 30years lol
@@8cee If you say so, I guess 🤷.
Awwww you hate it because it Wasn't the regular woke trash...Don't you?
@Aaliyahchannel2024 What are you talking about? Because I think Beverly Hills Cop 4 is an "okay" movie, I allegedly "hate" it because it's not a part of this Satanic "woke" agenda 🤔? First, I never said that I hate the movie, I said it's an okay movie. What, you go around trying to gaslight people in the comment section if their personal opinions don't suit your personal views 🤔? Go somewhere and sit down 🤨.
It was great, except the drama
That Tracy Morgan bit was something odd
Just watch the original.
okay, the movie was better than I expected. But I still think Eddie Murphy needs to stop with all these sequels to his classic movies and just get back to what we all beetn really waiting for,.........that's for him to get back into doing stand up. The man is still funny and that's what we all want to see. If he where to get back to doing stand up and actually came out with a special, it would create a whole new wave the comedy world needs to see. One successful stand up special would be be much better than all these scripted movies and terrible sequals. These sequals don't have the same buzz because he needs to remind everybody who who he is, and only a stand up comedy performance can do that.
Eddie never has to worry about getting his "ladies" pregnant.
Ha very few enjoyed Coming too America sequel...it was shite and safe
I love all these guys and the ones, but this should have been made a while ago. I couldn't buy this one. Sorry.
As usual, they pushed back all the stuff we wanted to add too much uninteresting crap. The daughter was a bad idea to have in this movie. Of course she was going to weigh down Axel. It's like writers now think "how can we NOT give the audience what they want?" And it needed more Bacon! We needed to see why he was so bad. What got him there. What made him corrupt and what made him gain so much power. Instead they just push him forefront and say "this is bad guy." Then the original cast was tossed in purely for fan-service and not for pushing the story forward. Writers are god awful now and can't see the forest for the trees.
This was a simple task. Make Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 over again with the original cast solving a case. Instead we get them trying to appeal to an audience that doesn't even know the originals. It's so dumb.
Hard to imagine that the makers of this sequel never even watched the previous installment! (It is terrible but still)
Sad
the easter eggs were pretty much dope!
BHC3 is under appreciated. It’s still fun.
