Didn't know about Amaranth and Katuk for greens in the tropics!! Thank you!

Surprised to see Comfrey in PR, not supposed to grow in the tropics. Tithonia diversifolia's supposed to do for the tropics.

It grows just not as well as in the temperate climates. Tithonia is a much bigger species with a different niche, but certainly a good choice.

Where are you in PR? I’m looking to start a farm in the mountains of PR but not too remote. Looking for a bit cooler mountain climate and not the coastal heat. Any suggestions on a mountain farm PR town?

I'm in Luquillo- love it here. For cooler weather, head to the center of the island near Utuado.

I have been in Adjuntas for a year now. It is the coldest part of Puerto Rico. I moved up from Ponce. It is an abandoned coffee farm. I have uncovered at least 50 coffee trees. I planted about 15 cacao, poma Rosa, tons of bananas, oranges, avocados etc. It is 9 acres that goes down to the rio grande rio de Arecibo. It is a private access to lagoons and waterfalls. A 12 minutes steep hike. Love it. I also have a 32 acre farm in Tibes. It is just North of Ponce. It has mangoes, guanabana, natural curry leaf and Kaffir lime along with bananas and other crops.
