Hey there! You actually can unlock the tools without swinging it open. Since the back lock is only one for every tool, you simply open another tool half way, which pushes the lock back and you can fold everything back in.

  • @deibl
    @deibl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

I put a tiny little magnet on the bottom inner sides of the handles to stop it from swinging open, works like a charm and also leads to a pretty satisfying closing-click. Guess you could glue the magnet too but it isn't even necessary. You gotta try this, it's one of those little and easy workarounds which change a lot ;)

I had a power access with the tool bits, and I liked it and beat the crap out of it with no problems,
so I decided to go with the powerpint because it is smaller and could still use 1/4" bits, and I have not regretted it since.
Yes, there are multi-tools with better quality tools in them, but form factor, usefulness, and fidget factor have made this an instant EDC for me.
I have been using it on all kinds of random things, especially for the scissors, and it has been cool so far, because it is so small it's convenient to carry. I also find myself flipping it around like a balisong every once in a while, so the fidget factor. Hoping I don't have to see how the warranty end is any time soon.

A few minutes with a Dremel modified the bottle opener to a 4mm flathead driver, and the file tip to a 7mm large flathead driver/prytool.
The hex bit holder is also a great tapping hammer for replacing paint lids.

You can use the pliers to grip larger items with the pliers on the inside, ie, with the handles open less than 90°.
Incidentally, things don't work "good".... They work WELL.
For how something works, use adverb, "well".
The other brand you mention is "Vic-tor-in-ox", not "Vict-or-i-an-ox".
    Further observation :-
Where do you carry the extra ¼- inch driver bit when you are out and away from your workshop/toolbox? If you have all the extra tools that fit into the bit holder in your toolbox, I suggest that you would never use the PowerPint. You'd used dedicated tools in your toolbox.
If you review a multitool, you should review only what is part of the tool, or extra bits that are part of the pouch. Not extra tools that you have at home.

American English: good is an adverb
British and Commonwealth English: good is an adjective, well is the adverb
Despite English being a truly global language there are more variations between German spoken in North/South Germany and Austria / Switzerland, and even between Netherlands Dutch and Flemish Dutch despite NL and Flanders being tiny

@@simonh6371 Hi, Simon. Sorry, but you are wrong. Here's an excerpt from Grammarly (American English):-
A common English error is to misuse the words good and well. The rule of thumb is that good is an adjective and well is an adverb. Good modifies a noun; something can be or seem good. Well modifies a verb; an action can be done well.
The incorrect use of "good" in USA may be a common, sloppy practice, but it's still just bad grammar.
(I realize I'm commenting on an unrelated comment here, and not on the SOG, but... Too bad!
