Thanks! Get yourself a sarnie & a coffee in Carlisle. Keep warm & have a great time. Or you could always nip to the Shanghai Shanghai buffet on Botchergate (turn right outside the station). Fed me well on a couple of railtour breaks.
Can’t thank you enough for this Tim, it’s very much appreciated. My content is free to all so I’m always very grateful when someone feels it’s worth donating towards 👍🏻 thanks for the tip on the buffet, that sounds exactly like what I’ll need for a break! This will be put towards it. Cheers mate.
Well noticed mate, it’s not always perfect but can usually get it pretty close. Beats no sound 👍🏻 I could see that 185 coming on traksy, thought a bomb was well on the cards 😂
I would love to see shunter shunting old parcel vans at Diggle again, I wished they would reopen Clegg street railway shed in Oldham and shunt parcel vans , I didn’t see much of that when I was a kid , I really missed a lot.
Yeh the weather has been abit pants! It’s rubbish down here again in Plymouth today! However it didn’t stop me going out getting soaked to catch 59003 😂
Super selection Luke, plenty of variety with the weather as well. This brings back happy memories of last year when my wife and I met up with you on the bridge by the hotel.
Great stuff, thanks a lot indeed, in Donny yesterday between 08.15 and 12.40 spotted 31 Loco’s helped by the fact, The Drax Traffic as been diverted through, which ends this Sunday, and is going to happen in the summer, for a longer period.
Another brilliant vid, thanks! Looks like the electrifcation works are growing larger on each edition of the diary. Seems like a lot of trees/shrubbery have been sacrificed in this edition?
Thanks a lot Phil, there’s been a lot of chopping going on down the other side. I think they’re trying to make the entry road to the yard a bit more suitable for bringing in heavy machinery. Hopefully they at least trim some of the trees in the way of the cam! Haha.
Hi Luke, I love watching your channel. I have been a subscriber for about a year or so. I live down in the West Midlands close to Bescot and Tame Bridge Parkway. Looking forward to watching your next 24 hour video and the sunrise to sunset. Hope to meet and chat with you one day. Cheers and Regards Colin👍👍
Hi Luke. I've just stumbled across the fact that in 1923, there was a fatal crash at Diggle Junction. Worth looking up if any of your subscribers are unfamiliar with the incident.
Hi mate, yeah it sounds like it was a pretty bad one from the various bits and bobs you can still find around the web. Put down to driver/signaller error apparently.
Thanks mate, we get a lot because we’re the quickest route between Freightliner’s main East and West depots, lots of other operators use FL’s wheel lathe in Leeds for tyre turning too 👍🏻
Should be a good one mate, I’ve had to push it back a week due to arrangements with Avanti. You’ve just reminded me I need to put a quick vid out with an update cheers.
Another cracking video. I've submitted a request to NR asking how they plan to install OHLE outside the back of the terrace to the west of Mossley station. They seem quite amenable so far. Watch this space. :)
@@DiggleJunctionYes the British built our railways, i came from a railway family in the 1980s i used to work for SAR, Most of our Old Steam engines were British build locos, do love the Modern British trains Too! Thanks Luke, another nice one. Keep it up.
Cheers mate 👍🏻 you might have caught a few these live being a regular of the stream haha.
That's lovely drone footage of the 59 sandwich btw. :)
Thanks a lot mate, I love the drone shots too.
Great video! Theres been loads through this past month makes for a great episode
It’s been a good one mate yeah. Not seen you around for a bit, hope you’re well 👍🏻

Nice syncing of track side sound with drone footage 😉...and lucky timing with the 68+70 and those photo-bombing DMUs 😅

That would be great to see mate, I missed it all too sadly.
Great Video as usual. I liked the drone footage nice to see a different view.
Thanks a lot, yeah it’s been nice to be able to get it up. Doesn’t like too strong winds or rain so not had much opportunity over the last few months!

@@DevonCornwallTrainVideos Some things are worth getting drenched for haha.
This is true! Same again tomorrow night for a couple of engineering movements 😄

Cheers John, that time has flown by! It doesn't seem like two minutes since meeting you and your lovely wife up here in Diggle.
What a promising mix to come Luke and no surprise you are nearly at 5k already. Great to see the 59!
Cheers Andy, appreciate that. Had a good idea for a different kind of 24 hour special for 5k if we can make it happen.
Another good 'un Luke. Looking forward to Eastleigh.
Cheers mate, think it should be a good one 👍🏻

Another great video Luke was watching live when the 59 and the flasks went through . Looking forward to your specials
Cheers Les, fun to see it from the perspective of the cam then see a proper shot it in the next diaries!
Brill...cheers Luke...
Thanks Declan, glad you enjoyed it!
Great work 😎👍 Thanks
Cheers Philip 👍
Good vid, keep em coming!
Cheers pal 👍🏻
Excellent as always Luke. Looking forward to "Eastleigh works"
Thanks Andrew it should be a good one. Will get the final touches to edit done next week and hopefully have it out pretty soon for you guys.

Great photographic skills.
Cheers Michael, appreciate that 👍
Great stuff luke there some machines keep up the good work 👍 from Ireland 🇮🇪 😊
Cheers Noel, appreciate that mate 👍🏻
Great vid anyway, as usual. So lucky to have those backdrops for your shots. 👍🏻
Have to agree with you there mate, even in the crap weather it's still pretty beautiful up here.

@@DiggleJunction That's it. Not unlike what happened in 1916 at Quintinshill.
Can't believe I missed the 59 both times !
Next time mate 🤞
How could one in the colonies NOT subscribe!🇺🇸👍🏻🇬🇧🚂
How indeed mate! Haha thanks very much 👍🏻
The class 59 went to Leeds apparently for tyre turning
Suspected as much mate, one hell of a turn around to get it in and out in 24 hours! Fair play to Freightliner.
Very nicely framed shots as always. Why do you get so many light engine movements through there?
Thanks mate, we get a lot because we’re the quickest route between Freightliner’s main East and West depots, lots of other operators use FL’s wheel lathe in Leeds for tyre turning too 👍🏻
Hmm Carlisle, im off on 28th, but it is a trek from york. Good catches anyway

Would be very interested to hear what they come back with. Has to be one of, if not THE stumbling block for this section.
59 only had an issue with one wheel hence why it was only at Midland Road overnight
Ah that makes sense, good to know thanks mate 👍🏻
not yet released the 4K special, and the subs are nearly on 5K!! hope you already have something planned Luke!!
Got something a bit different planned for 5k, will still be a 24 hour special but wish a twist. Things are going to fast to keep up with me lol.
Thank You Luke for filming and sharing these amazing videos! The live cam Great Too, hi from south africa!
Thanks a lot mate 👍🏻 glad to hear people enjoy it from far flung places.

Are they not Electrifying that line and if so what estimated date of completion Great Video as usual
Thanks mate. That’s the plan, if I remember right the plans will be proposed in 2025 so we’re a long way off work actually starting.
Says January on the Diggle thumbnail caption, and Feb in the intro... 🤔
Thanks mate, managed to catch it fairly quickly and update the thumbnail picture.
