My favorite since Jeff's first album: "If your mother doesn't even remove the Marlboro from her lips before telling the state trooper to kiss her ass..."
1:17 - It's THE thing. Blue Collar Comedy wouldn't exist without it. None of these guys would be legends if Jeff hadn't opened the door by pointing out a bowling alley with valet parking.
I honestly like Bill Engvall’s Here’s Your Sign bit from this special way better. All the guys get a chance to tell one and they’re all great. And Ron honestly tells the best version of the Thrown Out Of A Bar story he’s ever told
Watching the Blue Collar Comedy Tour special was the first time I had ever seen Ron White and I loved his intro story about flying into the "Flagstaff Airport, Hair Care and Tire Center there" "because (his) agent doesn't own a globe". So I got lucky that his telling of "Getting Thrown Out of a Bar in New York City" was the first time I'd ever heard it and it was great. "You ever forget? It happened to me".
3:42 - IN MY DEFENSE!!! The non-working TV is an old-school console floor TV that we took when my grandmother passed away and we put the newer TV on top of it when the resolution became too fuzzy to read the news ticker.
Heh. Back in the 70s/80s, my grandma had a portable TV on top of the console TV so she could follow two soap operas at once - sound down on one and watching that one while *listening* to the other one. And probably sewing a quilt or baking a cake at the same time. The OG multitasker, LOL.
That last joke about a nipple bitten off by a beaver is apparently a real story Jeff Foxworthy was told of by the victims sister and brother-in-law. It´s earlier on in this show, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
"You can't make fun of rednecks unless you are one, and I are one." - Jeff Foxworthy The easiest way to catch up on these 4 guys is to just watch the whole Blue Collar Comedy Tour special. The first one includes all of their most famous material.
Hey gorgeous! I wish you would live stream the whole "Blue Collar Comedy Tour 1 and then 2 and Rides Again! 😂 We all would have a great time and no editing for you until you want to upload the recording for people that missed the show! That's 2 more shows, at least! 😊 You have a wonderful laugh girl! Much love from Lawton, Oklahoma!
Walker: Texas Ranger was a TV series in the early 90's that started Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker, a half white, half Cherokee, Texas Ranger. The series gained enough popularity to run for 8 seasons.
In a Jeff Foxworthy interview, he was ask who wrote all of his material. He said that all of his material came from people he meets that tells him their story and from people that sends them their stories and experiences. And he throws his own life experiences in there as well. People in general are just so funny and so lovable. 😅
I spent my first 10 years in the 1960s. Everyone had permission to be our asses. If a grown up saw us misbehaving, they could kick our ass and send us home to tell our parents. My mom, or dad, would call the neighbor and ask why. he'd tell them and we'd get our asses beat again. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.
I remember that game show. The most memorable one was when the Georgia Superintendant of Schools was a contestant. She won the $1M prize, then donated all of it to charity.
Jeff Foxworthy is the comic who brought Southern comedy into the modern era. He was influenced by comedians like Andy Griffith who made a living on the “good ol’ boy” ideal. Jeff was able to make southerners, like himself, into a caricature while still keeping a kernel of truth in his comedy to make it relatable to all kinds of audiences for over four decades. On top of it all, he found a way to be gut-bustingly funny without having to be explicit. Still a lot of innuendo in his comedy, but he didn’t have to cuss every other word. He’d slide one in here and there, but it was very seldom and more for effect. Definitely check out more of him!
Jeff Foxworthy does a bit called Redneck Fashion Tips that you would love! It is on youtube in parts one and two, both parts are a riot and you WILL know people who violate them. 🤣
Larry the cable guy and Jeff foxworthly. Larry is also famous for playing Tow Mater in the Cars movies Jeff is a legend in the comedy world. Blue collar comedy tour has everyone in it
Walker Texas Ranger was a tv series from September 25, 1993, to May 19, 2001 martial artist and actor with Chuck Norris as a police officer in Texas. Chuck Norris is a black belt in Tang Soo Do ( Korean Karate), Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo They made a reboot called Walker and it aired 2021 - 2024 with Jared Padalecki as Walker.
The term Redneck comes from early 20th century West Virginian coal miners who decided to from a union and wore red bandanas around their necks to distinguish themselves as union men. At what is called the Battle of Blair mountain agents hired by the Coal Company opened fire on Red Bandana wearing union coal miners who were marching through the countryside. The term Redneck didn't take on the meaning of being a hick or "ghetto" country person till later. It started as a proud term of identification for a group of proud southern coal mining union men lead by Coal Loader/Union leader Bill Blizzard.
@jenniferclark8051 Bill Engvall retired from touring. Jeff Foxworthy is only rarely on the road now. Not like he's really hurting for money to pressure him back out. Larry's career stalled and Ron is now back on the road after getting himself clean and sober. Never thought he was going to do it, but he did. Of course the fact that nobody would work with him anymore helped motivate him
Trust me, girl. I live in Arkansas and I'm not even kidding when I say I have had to schedule people for doctors follow up appointments because they punched a goat in the head and broke their hand or the one time a woman broke her leg because she got ran over by a cow.... The absolute worst one had to be the guy who passed out on the 4th of July and he is so-called friends thought it would be hilarious to tie fireworks to his happy place. Imagine how that turned out....things happen in the south. Lol lol 😆. You really should stream both of the Blue Collar Comedy Tours though. Jeff Foxworthy was really the first of them to hit major fame with his classic You might be a redneck jokes in the 90s. His solo standup of Totally Committed was hilarous too.
The last thing you ever want to see on this earth is a group of fearless, resourceful people getting existentially bored. That.... that's when the magic happens.
Hi, I know you Love useless trivia so here you go; During the Battle of Blair Mountain, striking miners wore red bandanas in a display of solidarity, and the nickname “redneck” stuck. According to Huber’s history of the Battle of Blair Mountain, redneck was always used as a pejorative, although in the century before the Mine Wars it referred to racist, poor, white Southerners.
This was a HUGE thing for several years. The Blue Collar Comedy tour made tons of money, and ended up getting Jeff Foxworthy a TV show. Larry the Cable Guy is in the flannel, and he got a couple movies. They ALL have some amazing, hilarious routines. I believe the beaver bite story was in the news around that time.
Larry The Cable Guy (in the sleeveless flannel) is my favorite! He used to have a tv show on the History channel - ONLY IN AMERICA WITH LARRY THE CABLE GUY - check out some episodes!
Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most successful stand-up comedians of all time. His redneck jokes and stories that poke fun at his actual life’s events are some of the most relatable bits of comedy you’ll find. I highly recommend going down that rabbit hole. I got the pleasure of seeing Jeff perform 3 years ago for my birthday and it was the best time my wife and I had had in a long time!
The story about the beaver is told by Jeff during his set earlier in the show. If you really want a lot of laughter, watch the entire show. Blue Collar Comedy Tour
this was their first Blue Collar Comedy tour. they had 3 or 4 altogether, and you need to watch all of them. the first one is my favorite because of the jokes they tell at the end, of which this section is a part of. Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck..." jokes were so popular, he even published a book listing all the things that might make you a redneck! someone else even went so far, using Jeff's formula, and using Star Wars, to make the "You might be a redneck Jedi..." jokes, and all of them were pointed right at poor Luke Skywalker. and then there's Bill Engvall's signature "Here's your sign" jokes that the other 3 get involved with, and they all apologize when Larry the Cable Guy starts with one!
The Beaver story is earlier in the movie. It's hilarious. EDIT: as for seeing them all live, this tour was from 2002. Jeff and Bill have retired since then, so another live tour isn't likely. HOWEVER, there's 2 sequels to this, "BCCT Rides Again" (recorded in Denver 2003) and "BCCT One for the Road" (Washington DC, a few years later), so you still have plenty of material.
Hey Britt, that final you might be a Redneck joke that Jeff Foxworthy did had stemmed from a story that a couple of his fans told him, which he'd shared with the audience. This couple whom he'd met at a charity event told him about the wife's brother getting his nipple bitten off by a Beaver that he and one of his friends had hit, and the guy went to collect it, thinking that it was dead, so he could take it to a taxidermist to have it stuffed, but found out the hard way to it wasn't dead
Larry the cable guy does so much git r done, and they are funny. Also the beaver reference is because early in the show Bill Engvsll shares a story about someone whose nipple got bitten off by a beaver. Sadly they aren't touring together because a couple of thrm retired.
ok im totally subscribing because of how the candy situation was handled. 😂 a lot of people would have just cut it out and started again but i like that you didn't.
This was "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour" which came out in the early 2000s. There is a newer one called "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again." Each is the length of an average movie, but worth the watch. Plus, this part was the end of the show. There were things they referred to in it that related to things from earlier in the show. Watching the whole thing from beginning to end will make a lot more sense.
The silence of the lambs joke was referred to as Larry going into the barn to have "relations" with lambs. The lambs were silent so Larry didn't see them. I think that is what you were getting at.
I think my favorite part of this channel is that it debunks the idea of that we're all so different. Society/media/etc tries to put us all in categories...I love that this proves that 2 people who would be put in opposite ends of the spectrum enjoy some of the same things. Keep doing your thing.
I haven't finished watching yet, but I had to comment. Right when you knocked over your candy jar, and it made that crunching sound, my coaster got stuck on my cup's bottom and fell on my keyboard. Thought I broke something LOL
Growing up broke is growing up broke. Race, ethnicity, religion, none of it should matter when you can laugh and enjoy the struggle together. And all of the laughs and growth we can get from it. Also, didn’t know cool whip containers weren’t legit containers til I was a teenager. 😂😂
Opening drinking a beer at a funeral My buddy drank himself to death, he was an alcoholic, at his funeral we were all doing shots of Vodka (his favorite) and drinking beer. My dad came but left early because "wasn't his crowd" I told dad, "this is my crowd"
The thing about The Silence of the Lambs might be in reference to the old joke about the sheep getting nervous whenever a drink sheep herder approaches. (use your imagination and apply it to the sexual habits of lonely sheep herders).
bill is supposedly retired now, i went to a show during his farewell tour, ron white is semi retired but appears often at the mothership i think joe rogan owns it
Larry the Cable guy, is the GITTER DONE guy, and Jeff Foxworthy has been a stand up comedian since the 80s, most famous for his hundreds of "redneck" jokes. He also had a sitcom or two in the late 90s.
"You might be a redneck!!" is Jeff Foxworthy's jokes that made him one of the biggest comedian's in the world!! Bill Engvall's thing is "Here's your sign" and the other 2 guy's have their own "Thing's too".
Your four guys, Britt, are Ron "Tater Salad" White, Bill "here's your sign" Engval, Larry "The Cable Guy", and Mr. "you might be a red-neck" himself, Jeff Foxworthy. "You might be a Red-Neck" is what pretty much solidifies Jeff in everybody's mind. On his own he (and really ALL the guys) is pretty funny. Together? Just insane.
Check out Blue Collar Comedy Tour real life photos, where the producers asked the guys' to send in photos of the guys' that the guys aren't particularly proud of.
You should watch the three Blue Comedy Tour Movies. I think this was the end of the first one, and that while explained that last joke. Have a good day Britt.

1:17 - It's THE thing. Blue Collar Comedy wouldn't exist without it. None of these guys would be legends if Jeff hadn't opened the door by pointing out a bowling alley with valet parking.
The joke about the "Silence of the Lambs" regarding Larry, was in reference to sheep fornication.
Sheep fornication!! 😂 Never heard it put that way...true. but...HYSTERICAL!
Larry aka Mater from Cars.
So he’s of Welsh origin?

He was going out to the barn to get frisky with the sheep, is what was implied.

Blue Collar Comedy Tour's "I Believe" must be on the list
Yes definitely that one 😊
“I love you, Larry!”
“I told you to wait in the truck.”

The show/tour is called Blue Collar Comedy. It’s no longer but a must see
The beaver and ripples came from his part of the show earlier where he was talking about someone coming up to him at a meet and greet.
Larry The Cable Guy's Politically Corrected-Up Stories. Enjoy.
😅😅😅 Best Comedy Tour Ever 😊😊😊
I don’t know if many people have seen it but the incomplete deer hunter with Jeff Foxworthy is incredible.
There are 2 or 3 more "end of the show" skits. I remember 1 their wives sent the staff pics & another they said affirmations.
I'm also guilty of riding an electric floor buffer, on several occasions. Yes heavy drinking was involved.
That beaver joke was a reference to a story one of them told earlier in the show.
The other guy that you want to react to on Blue collar Tv stage was Larry the Cable Guy known tagline "Gitterdone"
My grandma favorite line was give me my fly swatter
I think the beaver/nipple joke referenced an early joke Jeff did in this show during his set.
Walker, Texas Ranger was a TV show starring Chuck Norris
