His set was after a full day of the crowd at the festival drinking, standing in the heat, booing all the previous comedians before him. It was legendary.
I love how the guy in the video explains to me what Bill is going to say and then show him saying it. Much better than just letting the clip play. I totally wouldn't have been able to understand what Bill was saying otherwise. Such transformative content!
It wasn't justified lmfao imagine paying money to see some comedians that shit the bed you'd be mad same as going to a game and they don't perform they get booed what's different? It was funny but I wouldn't say justified
If I remember the Phili audio correctly, he started insulting the city and their people because they have booed off the stage several colleagues before him, initially also booing him, then he said something like "keep booing me, I got hired for x minutes, you are still stuck with me for y more minutes and I'm going to say whatever I want", the people found that funny, slowly turning around like instead of a straight chain of insults, it was a roast.
Brief Rogan history: Started out as a young competitive kickboxer and he was funny so people said try standup comedy. He does the comedy, and has some success. Gets on a sitcom, then hosts Fear Factor. Continues to do comedy. Wanted to share how funny comics were in the green rooms, so he started recording them and uploading them, which results in them hamming it up, and wanting to be the focus, so he turns it in to interviews.
the philly incident was basically what put Billiam on the map. the whole crowd heckled all the comidians before him and Bill wasnt having it....there is a video attached to the audio.
That first one was a destroy lol. They went at him with "your comedy is offensive" and burr responded with "child molesting is offensive". Id say that clapback is hillariously savage.
Joe Rogan was an MMA fighter, he's a commentator for UFC, he hosted the show "Fear Factor" for like five years, Joe and Doug Stanhope did the 5th season of The Man Show on Comedy Central, he's been doing stand-up comedy since 1988... I don't always agree with the man but, I respect the hell out of him. He certainly put in the work.
uh, no, Rogan was never an MMA fighter, he was only ever a commentator. He WAS a competitive martial artist when he was younger, he's an expert at jiu-jitsu and taekwondo.
@@Enrique-Garcia So, by your own admission, he's an expert of two martial fighting styles (A MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST), who has competed... but you wouldn't call him an MMA fighter? You're ignorant. I looked at your channel, nobody cares. MMA existed before it was televised and branded. Get out of here, keyboard warrior.
In a nutshell, Rogan was a professional taekwondo fighter from his teenage years up to his early 20s. He became a comedian in his early 20s while being a pro fighter. Then (according to him on his podcast) he almost killed a guy on the mat in a tournament and decided to stick with comedy which led to hosting “Fear Factor” and had small roles in two sitcoms. And now aside from being a professional comedian and podcaster he’s also a fight commentator for the UFC, he’s part-owner of a nutritional supplement company named “ONNIT,” and he owns a comedy club in Austin, TX called “The Comedy Mothership.”
Hi Britt! Love your videos, and MrLBoyd's as well. My understanding of Joe Rogan is this; 1) became a comedian; 2) became the host of "Fear Factor"; 3) Became an announcer/interviewer for UFC. 4) trained in Brazilian Jiu Jutsu (which increased the value of his commentary in fights) 5) started Joe Rogan Experience. I love listening to you, to ShoeOnHead, and Joe Rogan (who used to be a Bernie Bro). It's hard to find rational Democrats, but I like hearing the other side. Hope that helps!
25:02 Joe started as a comedian in small clubs, like most great comedians of today. He is a friend of Dave Chapelle and appeared on his show a few times back then. He also acted in a few supporting roles in comedy movies later on. Then, he became a host at MMA events.
When you catch a cold, buy fresh ginger. Slice it up into coin-sized slices. Boil about twenty coins with a half-liter or so of water until it starts to darken, like apple juice. Strain and drink a mug warm. Add a little whiskey if you like. Really good for a cold.
The "unprepared journalist" is Rosanna Scotto. She's mega Catholic and wildly snobby. I actually knew her in the era of this interview. Whoever matched her up with Bill Barr knew what they were doing. 😂 FYi, They call the LES "Alphabet City" because the avenues turn to letters. ✌️
Joe got into competive fighting in his early teens until his early 20s. Then figured out fighting wasn't healthy long term and tried out stand up comedy. Did that well enough to land a few tv roles, then fear factor. After that he was 2nd to Adam Carrola into yt podcasting interviews, while also being an mma anouncer.
Joe Rogan 1st was a jiujitsu instructor, then became a Fear Factor hoast and started to do stand up comedy, then he became a MMA commentator(for free) while still doing stand up comedy, and became a podcaster while keep on doing stand up and MMA commentary ...kinda his life
The only defense I can think of about the unnaturally massive desk, is that sport hosts and commentators usually gave 2-5 people behind those desk during game-time commentary/interviews. That being said, man does it look bad in a 1v1 interview like that
Masks - honestly, anyone who feels they do nothing, I suggest next time they need medical intervention, in hospital or need surgery to demand that the nurses and doctors don't wear them. Bill has a great mix of humour and common sense. He's a joy to watch on stage, and off. Number one statement of his I love - I like anyone who isn't an a**hole. No gender, no agendas, no race requirements.
People were upset about masks because we were being mandated to wear them -- even outdoors. Regardless, part of what upsets us when others wear the masks, is they pull the things down all the time and the stupidity offends us.
Morning shows invite offensive comedians on their show knowing what's going to happen and then pretend to act offended, it's good publicity for them and gets word out about the comedian's show/performance/whatever. It's just kinda funny because it goes the same way every time lol. Comedians know about this too, knowing morning shows are part of the publicity game but typically hate going on them, and purposely try to go over the top and make it uncomfortable.
Destroy is a popular clickbait term. Burr stood up for himself with clever responses, where other guests might have succumbed to the host or what have you.
All these colds are stranger than normal.. stay out of the fog. If you see fog point your strong flashlight into it see if it has small pellets in it. Also try and freeze your bottle water see if it freezes. If not do not drink it .
Mask thing meant something else because it was blatantly obvious where ppl got their information if they wore one (CONTEXT-check date of interview) Just say someone is taking advantage of 1 of ur family /friend by FOOLING/TRICKING them into DOING/TAKING something wouldnt U GET PISSED
Simple timeline for Joe Rogan First: Comedian (present day) Second: Fear Factor Host (past tense) Third: UFC Commentator (present day) Fourth: Podcaster (present day) I don't know the exact dates, I just know these jobs happened in that order.
Britttttttt you have to watch F is for Family if you love Bill Burr. It’s so good 😭 Netflix doesn’t invest in animation in general. But that show deserved far more than 2 seasons
The Philly rant is worth reacting to - probably demonetized but worth it. It was a touring comedy show and he was the late set and basically the crowd had been heckling and screwing with all the comedians / his friends who were up before him and he was so pissed off about how they had treated everyone else he just went off. The promoters actually stepped on stage part way through to try and break it up but he wouldn't stop. In true Philly fashion he pretty much had the crowd on his side by the end because Philly appreciates people who give sh*t back when they dish it out. There's a couple versions - the long one iirc is lower quality but has the full set. There's a chopped down version but it lacks the context.
Britt Joe Rogan and Tom Green are the original Podcasters from before it was a thing . Joe fought mma ,actor in news radio and still an commentator in UFC
I would say Bill is amazing at disarming interviewers who try to ask him "triggering" questions. He just shuts them down. He doesn't play their game, and then they get all confused because they couldn't make him look like a tool, and they laugh uncomfortably until the show is over, so they can go lick their wounds. F is for... F*** with Bill and Find Out
I thought the Alphabet City had to do with the gay clubs or hidden gay clubs or some stuff like that back in the seventies or something I could totally be 100% wrong too😂
He completely flipped that joe rogan bit. That was joe straight uo trying to get a rise out of bill 😂 this guy of this video tried to do that to every clip he showed here
Joe Rogan was a comedian first, then a UFC commentator, then the gist of fear factor, then on the tv show “news radio”, then he made a podcast. I think that’s the order
That's simple logic, Bill just know the foundation of right reasoning, it's not that hard to think like that but he was raised with logic like my father raised me with logic, make things simple as possible, no complication
Used to wonder why Bill never brings up his marriage to a black woman. His commitment to not talking about it is what finally won me over. Could say that talking about it would take the edge off the criticism but why would Bill want that. Lol
Bill Burr was the only one who had the guts to say, you don't need a gun to kill someone, you can do it by denying them medicine or health care. He is an American idol.
A lot of people on the internet love to exaggerate everything. Especially, people who make videos about some sort of drama. TH-cam needs to fix these viewer count and ads thing. Some content creators just make flat out lies just to get people to click on them. I think I read/heard it from someone that views should be counted based on how long the viewer watches the video.
Some of the interviews if you watched the actual interview will give you a different opinion because it's almost like they're trying to make sure they look like they are smarter and just above Bill until Bill humbles them back down to reality
Bill's Philly response started because he was on a group show with a lot of other comics that all got booed by the crowd even before Bill hit the stage. I believe the crowd was booing Bill even before he started. Just a jerky audience. Some of the early comics walked off but Bill wasn't gonna let the audience scare him and lashed back at them, creating a legendary comedy set that is still discussed, with reverence, by other comics to this day. Bill is The Man!
The Bill Maher thing is so oversold. Maher started feeding Burr ammo to make jokes about him. Political disagreements happen, especially with Maher. But in the whole podcast they're both comedians having fun. Maher loved how Burr roasted him.
Regardless of one's views on Israel and Palestine, I think Burr did say something special by saying he was on the side of the kids. This isn't some advocacy of "we have to protect the children;" it's essentially saying let's allow kids to express their opinions without constantly crapping on them, which the Left and the Right do all the time. There are endless videos and comments about how shocking it is that young people are saying the wrong things. It's not worth commenting on, for the most part, and a lot of views that are misguided, they will eventually grow out of. Let them be kids. Let them be wrong for a while without crapping on them non-stop.
You should definitely watch some of f is for family! Its loosely based on his childhood and the main character is voiced by bill, if you like his humor youll like it
