6:47 What do you mean they started with in the 80s or 90s? The half stop? On 91 mm, they started with that in 1985 I believe, on 84 mm only around 2011, but on 93 mm Alox, the cap lifter always had a half stop since they introduced the Pioneer series back in 1957.
Yes you are correct the sleeve had the name (I only checked the box). There have been subtle changes to the interior. They are now doing layered cardboard a couple years ago it was clear plastic.
@@exploringitall8588 The 2015 edition had a nice foam insert, I think in 2016 they switched to the plastic, and last year they had a weak attempt with a paper insert... This one seems to be a lot better.
@@miklospinter yes I agree this layered cardboard better than the “paper” from last year and the plastic before that. The 91mm “winter magic” had the layered card board as well. Ideally I like the “velvety foam” that my 91mm Black onyx came in.
I have a few pioneers, so I probably won’t carry this one. I have been carrying the LE Hunter in Thunder gray though! I really like this color over the brighter ones from years past.
That are still available at www.swissarmy.com/us/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Medium-Pocket-Knives/c/SAK_MediumPocketKnives?ScrollPosition=669&maxResults=90- for 75. Also at many Knife dealers, they should be available through the rest of the year. Last years model was also !
They tend to be very secretive about their blade material. I have seen few older ones with blades sharpened away to nothing. Easy to sharpen does equal softer metal however. Thank you for watching !
Got this year's limited edition pioneer alox, Hunter pro, SD CLASSIC all in electric yellow.
That is awesome! Can't wait to see what they come out with this year!
Nice! Dad and Daughter doing the video. Reminds me when my daughter was that age. And I subscribed 🦉
Thanks for the sub! We appreciate it !
Very nice folder.
I use Victorinox for 50 years, only good experiences.
As you can tell Victorinox's are a favorite of mine!
Another great video. Ordered mine yesterday.
Thank you ! Waiting to see your final 2 Chinese Zodiac series ! I know 2022 has a special change !
Where's your homework?
My dad cut it up with a Swiss army knife.
Haha that’s a good one !!

Yes the half stop was added in approximately 1985. I did not know the Alox always had the 90° stop since it was added in 1957. Thanks for the info.
The box and the paperwork is the same for all models. I believe it should specify the model name on the sleeve only.

Awesome video! BTW, do you use the LE SAK or keep it for display?

nice review, i have noticed that victorinox scissors shape changed.
Yes, especially once you start comparing, because then you really notice it ! Thanks for the compliment and watching !
8:36 I guess you meant 93 mm (Alox) vs 91 mm (Cellidor), not 95 vs 93.
Yes you are correct 93 mm is the Alox.
Когда можно купить данную модель Alox 2022 в России? Или как можно быстро оформить доставку в Россию (Москва)?
Good question, sorry I don’t have an answer. I’ve only had item shipped from Russia. You should be able to order it from Switzerland though.
4:28 before we see the knife.
sorry i tend to talk alot.
Will these be coming back in stock?

I wish victorinox wouldn't use such soft steel
