Maguire, Evans, and Lindelof playing most of the season at CB. Casemiro out for an extended period of time. What quality is there on the pitch. EtH has had some questionable recruitment for sure, but to say that United have quality players is just waffling. See what he did at Ajax when he had quality and played his style. He has said it himself, " He cant play Ajax style because the players he has are different than Ajax and cannot do it." He has made errors but has done well this season with all the injuries and issues off the pitch. Deserves one more season or until the first couple weeks of the next season to be tested with actual footballing structure above him to prove if he is the man or not. This season has been almost impossible to manage on multiple levels.

That’s the funny thing tho, we struggled with SAF at the start too, but Man Utd stuck with him and reaped the benefits. Not every manager you stick with will be a good manager, but a good manager in the style of SAF will require patience.

We also beat Liverpool, Arsenal and City at home, and knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League last season.

Ten Hag has to get another season. He is still forced to use same players that Jose and Ole signed. Martinez is the only CB comfortable at half way line. That creates huge spaces in midfield. But ten hag has always used high press, so the squad is very unbalanced. Give him right players, trust and time. He will deliver. His CV was better than De Zerbi or Potter... and with right players he CAN play possession, press high and play compact. Just can't do it with Evans, Varane, Lindelof and Maguire

I am not sure why bashing EtH is such a regular topic with the Kick Off. United does not have a complete starting 11 that can play any style or pattern of play. We have gone through various managers, that have been winners or good man managers, they have all had strengths in different areas but have all struggled. The depths of the problems that United have goes way beyond the manager, if some of the rumors are to be true, fixing the footballing structure, rebuilding the squad that can play uniformly and play the way the manager wants to play, then we can judge EtH on a more level playing field.

Problem with De Zerbi is how long has he got left on his contract with Brighton.
