Hell King Doomsday just reminds me of kids playing heroes and villians, one kid explains all of his powers first and then by the end he realizes he undervalued his character and says oh he's also the king of hell, and he's on fire, and also he has magic, let's go!!!
That’s what all comic writers, even ones I like, seem to be doing anymore. One writes a new most powerful ever, older than the multiverse, etc. character, then another one ups it, either having that character beaten or just disregarding it, telling their own new most powerful, greatest threat character. The fact that none of the ridiculously powerful characters, can’t just blink Doomsday out of existence, or the equivalent, is dumb, just as it was in the terribly written Death of Superman story. Once the time guy showed up, as Doomsdsy escapes from that hell, I knew he’d be the time guy, asking Supes for help to destroy his past self, or whatever the actual plan is going forward. Your comment is how I’ve felt, reading Marvel and DC for the last 15 years. Every time I try to get back into it, it’s a story that makes me feel the same thing your comment is stating,

Rob, I need to thank you. You have rekindled a love for comics I last had in the early 90s. I have purchased many of these issues you have covered just because of how cool the art and stories are. For Superman to outlive all things means that he either gets some sort of a buff somewhere along the line (as otherwise other Kryptonians would also be there) or all Kryptonians are immortal and Supes is the only one who manages to not get himself killed.
Think of it this way, Superman is the *only* Kryptonian to be raised under a yellow sun from a baby and there aren’t any new full blooded Kryptonians to repeat the experiment.
Superman is literally an anomoly in the dc universe in general, he’s not regular amongst kryptonians or all the beings in multiverse in general. He’s literally the embodiment of hope energy in DC and a cosmic linchpin that can’t be erased ever.
He’s the antithesis of darkseid. Darkseid is a constant evil and despair throughout the multiverse and Supes is the constant good and hope throughout it
They already are getting to it pimp. This is all leading up to the crossover in 2030 notice how the Hulk is directly tied to God himself now and doomsday has correlation with Lucifer aka the Devil. My prediction is after they defeat Thanos with the Infinity hammer and death Stone and over in DC with Darkseid and the absolute universe I believe that's what's next.😊

I like that Clark and Lois (as Superwoman) worked together to protect Metropolis with Supercorp’s help, including defeating the Atomic Skull and encountering Doomsday, before Clark realized that the Time Trapper (who is Doomsday because Time Trapper is a sentient alternate timeline who wanted the main timeline to become his timeline) needed his help with something. Also, Lex being shocked at the man he was (i.e. him wanting to kill Superman) before he told his daughter Lena that he’ll be fine. Overall, this is a great comic.
Actually Lois having those powers comes off the heels of amanda taking all powers from super heroes. Remember when they got their powers back they were mixed ,some had new abilities and some regular people got powers, that's how Lane got her powers

Lex Luther losing his memory reminds me of Dr. Eggman from IDW comics where he becomes Mr. Tinker. But regained his memory after seeing Metal Sonic. It's only a matter of time before Lex regains his memories.😊😮

4:56 i thought about it on and off for awhile, and the best reason i can come up with is, while he is amnesic, the original memories are atill there, and will resurface alongside the original agressive persona, with the superhero world they are likely treat ing the return as a given, and are trying to...for lack of a better metaphor, do a 'controlled detonation'. Bring back lex in a controlled situation/enviroment, because if he comes back with no one looking, that's a massive advantage

This is maybe a second time I've seen through this story, however this might be the first time I'm catching on that Time Trapper Doomsday may have been referring to Smallville when he said he has seen a timeline where Clark chose to get rid of his powers and live a normal life. Either that or when Clark briefly did that in Superman 2 but that could be an either or reference.
How can superman live forever when he needs to be powered by yellow suns (stars) ? He has never been an energy generator like the Hulk, always a battery that needs an outside energy source (sun) so his cells can store this energy in order for his powers to work. This means when all stars die out, he goes too.

When Time Trapper took over Superboy-Prime’s timeline he was beaten by touching Prime. Prime was reset from a god tier being to a base 15 year old Kryptonian. Gonna assume it’s the same here and that’s how this op af Doomsday gets beaten. Clark gets the two to touch, Doomsday is reset to an early stage in its life before it was a god tier dude.

The time trapper is one of the better concept characters in DC comics. But making Doomsday the king of hell is a good power boost for his character.
