For someone unaware like me, can someone point which cosmic entities are there in the comic (like frames around 8:09 ) and which one is which now that they look different.

A fight between Franklin and Jean as she is now would have to be a full on multiverse reset kind of event. There's no way you could do that without all of the Marvel landscape changing.
Franklin is no match for the Phoenix. Please remember that the nexus of all realities resides in the heart of the Phoenix so it is the ultimate reality warper. Franklin is just a mutant, arguably the most powerful mutant but still a mutant nevertheless that exists in the universe which means Franklin exists within a reality. The Phoenix exiusts outside time and space. The Phoenix can erase the entire Omniverse and recreates it because it is Life and Death itself, and as stated on the video above is Creation itself. In short, Phoenix controls all realities that exist. Even if Franklin bends reality, the Phoenix can undo it because again, the nexus of all realities resides in the heart of the Phoenix.

I think when they said “You are creation” I think she’s way beyond the capabilities of what Franklin can do or maybe equal in a sense but considering what the Phoenix itself represent Jean is no longer just Jean/Phoenix, she is Creation, the cosmic entity of the beginning of existence itself.

Every time I wake up and get ready for work I ALWAYS go to Rob! He never disappoints, I’m always like o a video out for 30-60 mins, I love it! Then on my two hour commute I put on his old old stuff that I realized I missed , basically I’m saying Rob is a GOAT! 100%. But, I saw one of those comic/cartoon battle channels make a video showing ZATANNA not only beating the Scarlett Witch, but violently KILLING her... I was just like, "Yeah, no.. I like Zatanna and everything; but she has to actually cast spells to use her magic.. verbally, out loud... and BACKWARDS, no less. All of which takes TIME. Wanda could just remove her mouth or vocal cords with a THOUGHT, then atomize her entire body and probably obliterate her soul in less than a SECOND if those two had to fight.
The guy who usually gives the Cosmic entities physical forms must've been drunk, high, or both when Eternity and Living Tribunal asked for a commission. And it's about time Jean was offered membership to the Cosmic Entities club. If flipping Ulysses from Civil War 2 is allowed, they should be able to let anyone in.

The writer truly is going out of her way to fix decades of terrible editorial decisions against Jean. I love to see that. Hopefully this will set the basis for a proper development for the character in the MCU. I enjoyed Famke's Jean, but the idea that she has no die to pay for her power is really tired at this point. And Sophie Turner was just the wrong casting choice, IMO. Can't wait to see what's next for Phoenix in the big screen. In my opinion, Saoirse Ronan would be a fantastic Jean Grey.

Phoenix clearly displays cosmic awareness and thus showing right off the back, she is not to be trifled with let alone turning someone into a whole star council: "meh we can take her. She needs to abide by our laws, even though she is clearly a force of cosmic nature and thus the laws of mortals have absolutely zero sway on her and it should in fact be the other way around. We are the council so we have that good big D energy and thus she must submit" like they realize she could have turned that entire room into a star from cross the universe with ease.
@@shifftybeast8974 Jean has been so, for a longer time most of the women in comics you're thinking of, even existed. Jean being strong is very far from "woke trend of making all girls op". Phoenix was meant to be a cosmic hero since her introduction, many, many decades ago.
@ligeiasiren4290 I know Jean had been strong and I said I love Jean. What I'm tired of is every story now, every woman is becoming the best and over powered. That particular troupe is becoming played out. This should have been done with Jean ages ago. It just sucks that they wait till now when they are doing it with every female in comics. Do you need examples. I've been reading comics since the 80s and have never had a problem with strong female characters. But now they are ALL strong. Put against any man the female wings 9 out of 10 times.
Mortals have been defying, defeating and killing cosmic entities for almost the entire run of Marvel comics. I stopped collecting comics when a few things became obvious: 1. There is no continuity, it just gets thrown out completely based on what the writer wants to do. I really hate that. 2. It's just endless power creep. Look at how your favorite superhero is now the strongest hero! At least until next month, then it'll be someone else's. 3. Every character goes through the same few "character arcs", forever. I guess the comics are basically just rehashed for each generation. The more you know about the history of what has happened, the more you're just like "oh...again?".
He's concerned because the Phoenix is responsible for the murder of thousands of Shiar, back when she destroyed their ships. The Shiar do not like the phoenix, its been pretty well documented
Gladiator’s, vitriol and self righteous attitude as it pertains to Phoenix cracks me up, considering the Shiar literally wiped out Jean’s entire bloodline in the fear of one of her family members, possibly becoming a future host for the Phoenix force. He’s asking if turning Gorr into a star is the punishment that they would’ve given him meanwhile, the Shiar punished Jean’s entire family with little to no question or second thought. As much as I have been enjoying this run sans the not great traced artwork (thankfully Miracolo is now gone), but I’m ready for us to wrap up the Jean versus Thanos storyline and get into Jean layinh waste to the Shiar for decimating her bloodline.
I'm sure she could beat Franklin, until a different writer disagrees and upgrades him to Omnipotent x11, up front his already Omnipotent x9 status. I reckon The Phoenix is currently sitting at Omnipotent x9. In another 10 years there will be Omnipotent x20 characters, and on and on and on and on...

They feel there position in the universe get smaller. and back in the Day, they kept tabs on The Phoenix by killing, capturing, threatening it's host. (Jean Grey) Now the host and the Phoenix are one entity now. And there scared shitless. Having no control or power over her at all.

What I really liked about this comic, as far as I am able to see, is that they addressed the Phoenix as part of the Cosmic Hierarchy. Before, it was always excluded, but it was obviously a high ranking cosmic entity. It was always omitted, and its ranking and relation with the others was always a mystery until now.
Rob, i need to hear more philosophical stories tied into these comics, in the same way you tied pltos cave to previous comics. It added an extra layer to your stories. Many thanks!
It makes perfect sense to me. I've been thinking about this ever since Al Ewing's Defenders Beyond when the Beyonder says that he's weaker than the Phoenix, especially in the White Hot Room. It's very simple to me. the Phoenix Force represents all life, the Beyonders are alive, why, because of the Phoenix Force. The Phoenix Force gives life, it can take it away too. Jean is now a being of creation itself.

Here's my question. Recently, Thor was told that his mother was the Phoenix. Now, Jean is told she is the Phoenix. Does that make Jean the mother of Thor?!😅
I don't think the idea of Thor being the Phoenix' son will ever be revisited TBH. It was just the writer's attempt to give Thor Jean's power/lore, and Marvel seems to be going into the opposite direction with this book. Jean was once nerfed and killed, because of Thor, to make sure she wouldn't outshine the male heroes in the Marvel roster. I don't think they will legitimately link the Phoenix with Thor, to that degree. If anything, they're trying to permanently merge Jean Grey/Phoenix as the same concept. And I doubt they're gonna make her Thor's mom, lol.

Jean is basically becoming the embodiment of the white hot room which is the 'core of creation'. The white hot room is a place of imagination and pure creativity. It decides what gets made and what doesn't. Jean/Phoenix are basically the ink/pen and the white hot room the white pages. Every ink drop becomes part of Eternity/Infinity. Jean/Phoenix is thus FAR beyond Eternity/infinity and even Multi-Eternity.
I am bummed out that Gorr died because I wanted him to return so badly because he was one of the best villains in Marvel. And they brought him back just to be killed off again. Hopefully, they will bring him back some other time. However, I do wish that Gorr was not just treated like that.
This is so cool. I've always wanted this as a full fusion. Same with hulk and Bruce banner, venom and Eddie Brock. Like the idea of a perfect host for entities etc we as humans can relate to it on some level
here's why marvels writing is always silly though. "when i find you perrikus....", SHES THE PHOENIX!!! She knows exactly where he is and can be there instantly!!!!
Call me old school, but I prefer the non anthropomorphized cosmic entities. It doesn't make sense like a universal constant like Eternity would just be some regular, super-hero type singular person, with a personality, agenda and very-human like. Something like eternity should be infinite and a force, not some whimsical personality that's concerned with singular persons in a universe of trillions of trillions of people and trillions of stars. Having them super-hero type characters as well gets into the silly really quick with very strong super-heroes like Apocalypse being about to beat them in fights, that shouldn't even be possible in comic-book logic.
They don’t have a real form. They’re concepts and forces. They only appear as they do because they requested a form to make it possible to interact with existence.

The cosmic entities are in shambles at the moment, they are over worked to my opinion, to many are popping out every other story, it's losing it's impact, especially as the cosmic entities are being written like they are superheroes with values, morales, talking like they are humans, it just shows bad writing to me. In the past, when a cosmic entity was in a story I would get excited about how things will go down, now it's just another week at Marvel, thats not a good feeling, but I guess it's just a personal opinion.
@@arc7375 That's true and sorta exactly what I'm saying. Like Eternity for example is the personification of eternity. To eternity the concept, nothing Phoenix or any other creature would do would have any relevance, eternity would always continue towards the infinite regardless of anything, even the universe ending, and the concept of eternity taking a single body form is entirely antithetical to what eternity is. When Eternity takes a body than it is no longer the concept of eternity. It doesn't make any sense, comic-book logic or otherwise. A cosmic entity should just be nebulous, unknowable galactic constant, energy or force, completely not interested or even capable of interacting with a personal singular level. I can understand the Living Tribunal and some others being characters that interact, but cosmic entities like Eternity, the In-Betweener, Infinity, Oblivion etc should not be characters that interact (at least in super-hero type body form).
The shackles have finally come off from Jean. Now we are about to see just how powerful she and The Phoenix will become, I'm excited to see where this goes.

I honestly hope the new video series about the marvel universe is in the old format. The flat tone straight information delivery. Robs evolution on this channel has been an amazing experience to have watched. I like both deliveries to be honest,the uncut talk to us about the comics delivery and the bare facts delivery with the old background music in it.

They are the Eternity, Infinity, The One Above All, Entropy, Living Tribunal, Eon, In-Betweener, Oblivion, Death, Fulcrum, Celestials and the Watcher. And the most important to them all which is the Living Embodiment and the concept of Creation itself the Phoenix.

I am not sure why u r comparing Phoenix to Franklin when in this issue, it says that she is creation, that a piece of her lives in every being, that includes Franklin. He is a reality warper, she is creation force itself. Completely 2 different level..

And hopefully, they won’t drop the ball a third time… Regarding your question as to what role Phoenix plays in the Pantheon, I have an answer pending my own question. Is there the entity “Life?” I know there’s Death. But to my knowledge, I can’t remember if there’s a Life? If not, given that Phoenix is said to be Creation itself in this comic, I’d say that Phoenix’s role has been established as _Creation/Life_ - the antithesis of Lady Death.
She’s life and Death at the same time. She ranks higher than Death because she can never truly die. And ranks higher than Oblivion because she can emerge from nothing.

Phoenix is one of those characters that her power level has been all over the place for years because you have the entity and you have Jean. Jean always made it weak while it was strong on its own.

Another bit of cosmic lore I don't think you got around to was revealed in the recent Scarlet Witch series. She was shown to be beyond all nexus beings with Odin in the same issue being confirmed as a nexus being 👍🏿

I mean, willing yourself back from the dead is THE MOST POWERFUL version of 'cannot be killed' This Jean grey is more powerful than superman and maybe even as powerful as any cosmic entity besides the one above all for that very reason. As long as any life exists, she will exist in some form, and have the ability to will herself back into existence. AND when she does she is not just the phoenix, she is Jean Grey/Phoenix, the multiversal telepath reality warper cosmic entity. She can really only be temporarily weakened and really only in theory because the Phoenix draws power from the existence of life past present and future, so its power should never be able to be supressed against its will because if those lives weren't going to be lived the phoenix would never have drawn power from them in the first place. In theory she can escape any attempt at containment because she could just teleport vast distances or just break out, and you basically can't dominate her mind.
The problem was absolute power corrupts absolutely. All of the other cosmic entities have always been or come from the source Jean was human first, That's what made her fail as the Phoenix. Being killed this last time in a sense she's losing her mortal shell and becoming one in totality with the Phoenix something that has never been done. Grant Morrison tried but she was still able to be killed it wasn't this level of totality she's now one with the whole universe. But she's always had that fear of losing control but the fact is there's nothing to fear now because she is in complete control of the Phoenix Force she lost her humanity I believe to get it but it doesn't make her inhuman. She's evolved into what she was supposed to be. She will no longer eat, sleep, breathe and age. Would that alone I think this comic can go on for many years because she's going to watch Scott die because even though she's no longer human she still has her memories of what being human is like. I think it's masterfully written.😊

Mortals have been defying, defeating and killing cosmic entities for almost the entire run of Marvel comics. I stopped collecting comics when a few things became obvious:
1. There is no continuity, it just gets thrown out completely based on what the writer wants to do. I really hate that.
2. It's just endless power creep. Look at how your favorite superhero is now the strongest hero! At least until next month, then it'll be someone else's.
3. Every character goes through the same few "character arcs", forever. I guess the comics are basically just rehashed for each generation. The more you know about the history of what has happened, the more you're just like "oh...again?".

Gladiator’s, vitriol and self righteous attitude as it pertains to Phoenix cracks me up, considering the Shiar literally wiped out Jean’s entire bloodline in the fear of one of her family members, possibly becoming a future host for the Phoenix force. He’s asking if turning Gorr into a star is the punishment that they would’ve given him meanwhile, the Shiar punished Jean’s entire family with little to no question or second thought. As much as I have been enjoying this run sans the not great traced artwork (thankfully Miracolo is now gone), but I’m ready for us to wrap up the Jean versus Thanos storyline and get into Jean layinh waste to the Shiar for decimating her bloodline.

I'm sure she could beat Franklin, until a different writer disagrees and upgrades him to Omnipotent x11, up front his already Omnipotent x9 status. I reckon The Phoenix is currently sitting at Omnipotent x9. In another 10 years there will be Omnipotent x20 characters, and on and on and on and on...
Can't wait for this new cosmic entity to get beaten and trivialized by another to character to establish how strong and awesome that character is.

They feel there position in the universe get smaller. and back in the Day, they kept tabs on The Phoenix by killing, capturing, threatening it's host. (Jean Grey) Now the host and the Phoenix are one entity now. And there scared shitless. Having no control or power over her at all.

What I really liked about this comic, as far as I am able to see, is that they addressed the Phoenix as part of the Cosmic Hierarchy. Before, it was always excluded, but it was obviously a high ranking cosmic entity. It was always omitted, and its ranking and relation with the others was always a mystery until now.

It makes perfect sense to me. I've been thinking about this ever since Al Ewing's Defenders Beyond when the Beyonder says that he's weaker than the Phoenix, especially in the White Hot Room. It's very simple to me. the Phoenix Force represents all life, the Beyonders are alive, why, because of the Phoenix Force. The Phoenix Force gives life, it can take it away too.

I don't think the idea of Thor being the Phoenix' son will ever be revisited TBH. It was just the writer's attempt to give Thor Jean's power/lore, and Marvel seems to be going into the opposite direction with this book.
Jean was once nerfed and killed, because of Thor, to make sure she wouldn't outshine the male heroes in the Marvel roster. I don't think they will legitimately link the Phoenix with Thor, to that degree.
If anything, they're trying to permanently merge Jean Grey/Phoenix as the same concept. And I doubt they're gonna make her Thor's mom, lol.

Jean is basically becoming the embodiment of the white hot room which is the 'core of creation'. The white hot room is a place of imagination and pure creativity. It decides what gets made and what doesn't. Jean/Phoenix are basically the ink/pen and the white hot room the white pages. Every ink drop becomes part of Eternity/Infinity. Jean/Phoenix is thus FAR beyond Eternity/infinity and even Multi-Eternity.

Call me old school, but I prefer the non anthropomorphized cosmic entities. It doesn't make sense like a universal constant like Eternity would just be some regular, super-hero type singular person, with a personality, agenda and very-human like. Something like eternity should be infinite and a force, not some whimsical personality that's concerned with singular persons in a universe of trillions of trillions of people and trillions of stars. Having them super-hero type characters as well gets into the silly really quick with very strong super-heroes like Apocalypse being about to beat them in fights, that shouldn't even be possible in comic-book logic.

The cosmic entities are in shambles at the moment, they are over worked to my opinion, to many are popping out every other story, it's losing it's impact, especially as the cosmic entities are being written like they are superheroes with values, morales, talking like they are humans, it just shows bad writing to me.
In the past, when a cosmic entity was in a story I would get excited about how things will go down, now it's just another week at Marvel, thats not a good feeling, but I guess it's just a personal opinion.

To eternity the concept, nothing Phoenix or any other creature would do would have any relevance, eternity would always continue towards the infinite regardless of anything, even the universe ending, and the concept of eternity taking a single body form is entirely antithetical to what eternity is.
When Eternity takes a body than it is no longer the concept of eternity. It doesn't make any sense, comic-book logic or otherwise. A cosmic entity should just be nebulous, unknowable galactic constant, energy or force, completely not interested or even capable of interacting with a personal singular level.
I can understand the Living Tribunal and some others being characters that interact, but cosmic entities like Eternity, the In-Betweener, Infinity, Oblivion etc should not be characters that interact (at least in super-hero type body form).

If not, given that Phoenix is said to be Creation itself in this comic, I’d say that Phoenix’s role has been established as _Creation/Life_ - the antithesis of Lady Death.
She’s life and Death at the same time. She ranks higher than Death because she can never truly die. And ranks higher than Oblivion because she can emerge from nothing.
I'm praying for Saoirse Ronan to play her. She looks so much like Jean with red hair, and seems to have the personality to embody her as well.

I mean, willing yourself back from the dead is THE MOST POWERFUL version of 'cannot be killed' This Jean grey is more powerful than superman and maybe even as powerful as any cosmic entity besides the one above all for that very reason.
As long as any life exists, she will exist in some form, and have the ability to will herself back into existence. AND when she does she is not just the phoenix, she is Jean Grey/Phoenix, the multiversal telepath reality warper cosmic entity.
She can really only be temporarily weakened and really only in theory because the Phoenix draws power from the existence of life past present and future, so its power should never be able to be supressed against its will because if those lives weren't going to be lived the phoenix would never have drawn power from them in the first place.
In theory she can escape any attempt at containment because she could just teleport vast distances or just break out, and you basically can't dominate her mind.

The problem was absolute power corrupts absolutely.
All of the other cosmic entities have always been or come from the source Jean was human first, That's what made her fail as the Phoenix.
Being killed this last time in a sense she's losing her mortal shell and becoming one in totality with the Phoenix something that has never been done.
Grant Morrison tried but she was still able to be killed it wasn't this level of totality she's now one with the whole universe.
But she's always had that fear of losing control but the fact is there's nothing to fear now because she is in complete control of the Phoenix Force she lost her humanity I believe to get it but it doesn't make her inhuman. She's evolved into what she was supposed to be.
She will no longer eat, sleep, breathe and age.
Would that alone I think this comic can go on for many years because she's going to watch Scott die because even though she's no longer human she still has her memories of what being human is like.
