This video is a mashup of their other videos and footage of some of their HUGE concerts. Freddie was too sick and very close to death by the time this song was recorded. It was written by the guitarist Brian May, as a testament to the struggles Freddie was facing and yet he continued to record music. Trust me, if you want more subscribers, start checking out more Queen. We are a huge fan base ❤
Keep going down the queen rabbit hole. There catalog is huge. They were the greatest band ever. There music is timeless. They were way ahead of there time. R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU!
“Somebody to Love” live in Montreal.1981. You won’t be sorry. About “The Show Must Go On” (listen again without the visuals), Brian was concerned Freddie was too ill to hit the high notes but he said, “I’ll F**King do it, darling”, threw back a nice swig of vodka and killed the vocals! RIP, Mr. Fahrenheit.
Yes, that voice came from a dying man. The Show did indeed go on for Freddie up to 6 months before he died. Better voice than some others half his age and full of health. That man fought until the end. 😢
Brian recalls, “Fred, I don’t know if this is going to be possible to sing. And he went, ‘I’ll F-ing do it, darling - vodka down - and went and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal.’” The song was released October 14, 1991 in promotion for the Greatest Hits II album just 6 weeks before Freddie’s death on Nov. 24, 1991. 😢😢
You definitely need to start at the first song that shot them to stardom, it's a classic now, "Bohemian Rhapsody". And to see how the greatest frontman of any band ever commands the stage check out "Somebody to Love" Live from Montreal and Queen's performance at Live Aid.
By this stage Freddie was VERY Sick. So their videos were like this. All except These are the Days of our Lives. That was Freddies last "live" video.... he looks very ill.
Video mashup from lots of tracks, concerts and even movie tracks (Flash Gordon and Highlander). A brilliant group of talented musicians with the best "front man" the world has ever seen. When asked what instrument he played, he once replied "the audience, dear boy, the audience." RIP Freddie - keeping heaven rocking.
Really liked your reaction. I know, this video is a trip, it’s a mashup of a bunch of their old videos and clips from concerts. You should definitely react to more of their stuff. I highly suggest like others have mentioned somebody to love live in Montreal, 1981.
I guarantee you've heard Queen before, you just don't know it. Ever stomped and clapped along to We Will Rock You, or sang We Are The Champions when you team wins, or just listened to Another One Bites The Dust? If yes, then you've heard Queen. Yep, they wrote and performed those famous anthems and more.
Thanks, Geaux - you totally know a lot of Queen songs... lol ... (as said by others.. a crazy mash-up of vids.. I'm sure you're familiar with songs like "We will rock you/we are the Champions, Another one bites the dust...Under Pressure?") Look forward to more of your reactions...
This video is comprised of clips of previous videos as the lead singer Freddie Mercury was too ill to make a video. He died of AIDS 11/1991. Start early with Bohemian Rhapsody official video, White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon and go from mid 1970’s to their final 1991. Freddie had an incredible voice and Queen was amazing live. You’ll love Somebody To Love 1981 in Montreal. Also Dragon Attack, Save Me, Play The Game, Another One Bites The Dust, Don’t Stop Me Now- official video. You won’t be sorry! ❤thanks.
Yes, please! Most reviewers miss the first decadeof their music and just start with Montreal in 1981 or Live Aid when they were a fully developed stadium band. Their early rock performances are excellent, powerful, raw talent on full display in the 1974 televised Live at the Rainbow, with Liar, Seven Seas of Rhye, Stone Cold Crazy, Death On Two Legs, Nevermore, and Lily of the Valley, 1975 televised Live at the Odeon, White Queen Millionaire's Waltz, official recording of March of the Black Queen, and Top of the Pops video of Killer Queen, and 1976 Live at Hyde Park "You Take My Breath Away" and official video of "Bohemian Rhapsody" blew every other band out of contention with their talent and innovative presentation. Welcome to Queen
Its already been suggested but just incase you didnt see it..... "We Will Rock You" "We Are The Champions" & my favourite "Another One Bites The Dust"❤😊🇬🇧🎼
Freddie was too sick with aids to sing in concert, but he continued making music to the end. Start at the beginning, Somebody to Love, live in Montreal.
Queen was HUGE and still is. The best rock group ever, the best lead vocalist ever, the best guitarist ever, the best drummer ever, the best bass player ever, the best vocals from all its members. Don’t diss Queen or any if it’s members, especially the lead singer, Freddie. . It’ll be the end of your channel. 😱
The video is mash up of all the music video they made and plus concert footage too. Because Freddie no longer had the strength to do anything since, he was dying from AIDS/HIV.
Definitely keep going with Queen, but from stuff you said I think you would like the Scorpions, 'Still Loving You'. For Queen, live in Montreal 'Someone to Love'
The part where hes dressed as a woman he was making a video for Queens "I want To Break Free" back in 1984. After that video was released the US was not impressed at all, and they never got invited back to tour America untill their song "Bohemian Rhapsody" was used in a scene for "Waynes World" 1992. Freddie passed away from AIDS back in 1991. "The Show Must Go On" was written by Freddie when he knew he was dying. We (the public)didnt know till 2 days before he actually died that he had AIDS, so it was a big shock when his death was announced! He really was a legend.
Yes Freddie was a fruit, but that’s not why he was wearing the dress, the video is a ton of other videos patched together as of when he sung this song he was chapping on deaths door, you wouldn’t believe it to listen to him.

A previous comment suggested early Queen. “Stone Cold Crazy” & “Liar” live at the Rainbow 1974 will definitely “rock you”.
Cheers!
Best group ever!!! This is a collab of their music videos

You started at the end of his life when he couldn't perform live. You need to start at the beginning. 1974 Rainbow theater concert.

Queen kind of started the videos back in the day.
Greatest band of ALL TIME! Please do Under Pressure live from Wembley!
LOL🤣🤣🤣 Looks so tame seeing it as a mash up video. Back in the day, it was actually progressive and shocking🤣😂🤣Great reaction.🥰🥰 Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Yes more queen. White queen at thevOdeon

The video was bits of other videos and concerts.

This video came out after he learned that he had AIDS this is about 2 to 3 years before he died😊😊😊❤❤❤
Someone new to Queen would never understand the video bc it’s just bits and pieces of many videos. Forget the video! Just react to the song
Actually, Freddie was bisexual, not gay.
He was dyeing
Yes Freddie was a fruit, but that’s not why he was wearing the dress, the video is a ton of other videos patched together as of when he sung this song he was chapping on deaths door, you wouldn’t believe it to listen to him.
Yep he was gay
He died of aids
