Since I don't have my blender available as I'm moving and in a temporary location, I can make cream of celery soup. Your recipe also allows you to actually eat bits of celery as the blended recipies puree the vegetable. Thanks for posting! Am looking forward to watching your other videos. 👍

Yes, absolutely. Just be sure to reduce the cream a bit to thicken. It will change the volume of the soup, therefore reducing the servings, but no by much. Great question.
I just made it, and it's soooo good! I cheated a little and even after adding chicken stock I added a very small can of chicken of soup already made and added it just in case I didn't like the original. I tried it before and after putting the can in and it was delicious either way!

When I saw the bunches of celery at the store today on sale for $0.99... this vid made me buy a bunch! I believe that the base recipe for my favorite cream of asparagus soup recipe (old edition of Joy)... is cream of celery.
Looks good and very simple. The only thing I would change up is caramelizing the onions first with some salt until golden. Then adding the celery for a little bit and then adding the garlic. But overall a good recipe.

Depends on microwave or in the pot reheat, either way I would be sure to stir it as it re heats. Do it slowly until its hot. Don't burn it! Great question. Have a great weekend
This soup looks delicious and easy to make. Chef when you refer to milk are you referring to full fat regular milk or can you use the other grades. Here in Canada we have skim, 1, 2, 3 percent fat milk . Just curious if not using full fat milk would make the soup thinner. Further is this recipe the base for all cream soups. I would like to not only try to make this recipe but also try a cream of carrot. Again another fantastic recipe and thank you for showing me the singer method as well as chopping skills to keep veg pieces uniform. . Bravo.

I would use a cornstarch slurry if you are not going to use a flour and butter roux, oats would not be good in this!
