Thank you for teaching a new aidea again.
I'll try it now!🌺🍎
Thanks!
Thinking of starting the sax, sounds like triad pairs
Yep, these are triad pairs!
Thank you. Just downloaded into my brain
Nice Lydian sound
Thanks!
Ooh this is crazy
😜
Me gusta este aporte. Solo resta practicarlo y practicarlo. Parece difícil. Pero solo la práctica hace al maestro. Gracias
Now take both triads and create your master scale.
G B D + A C# E = G A B C# D E G G Lydian (Missing the F#)
now arrange in 4ths.....
G C#
A D
B E
C# G then it flips to 5ths...
D A
E B then starts over again in 4ths
G C#
Nice idea!
Great lessons, thankyou, these jazz patterns are helping me a lot
Great! Thanks
Really groovy neck strap just like the ones we had in the 1970's!!!!
Thanks! A subscriber very kindly got it for me!

You’re welcome!
Nice one Boss

Last line on the G maj arpeg should be DGB but other than that this is really helpful!
Yes that’s right, but if a typo! Thanks!

Thank you!

Great! Thanks
That’s Walt Weiskoph’s Triad Pairs
Yeah, although I would say the concept has been around a lot longer.
You're awesome
Thanks Winston!
only works if the chord you’re playing is flexible enough to be in Lydian
Sure, context is everything, but you can basically use this when a major chord is functioning as chord one.
And chord IV of course
Trusty paired triads
Never fails!
Strap good
Thanks!
👍🏻🎷
How can I convert the notes to a tenor sax please
That would be C and D major triads
This is from Bob Reyndolds
I’m sure he’s covered triad pairs too, the concept has been around for a very long time though.
Is there a similar exercise on minor chords?
Yep, you can do A min and B min triads on an A minor chord which sounds cool
@@OnlineSaxAcademy Thank you, Paul. I'm studying Cantaloupe and I will try it on the first chord Sol -
it's simply arpeggiating the G lydian scale without the 7?
you could think of it like that, personally i find it easier to think of the 2 distinct triads as it's easier play around with different inversions and shapes.
you are right, but it was just to make the link between chords and scales.
thank you
Yes this will create a #11 or Lydian effect
Then do it in 12 keys 😵💫😵💫
Yep!
That 'sound' is called "TRIAD PAIRS".
It is indeed!
Correction: Step 2 should read:
G B D
B D G
D G B
Algorithm
Good name for a tune
