I start driving this car since i was 15, and yes i love this car very much, my family used it when i was on a elementary school, and now they didnt use this car anymore because they have bigger car to use, and yeah, cause no one use it any more and already parked around 2 or 3 years already, I took the initiative to use this car at 15, when i drive this car, i sometimes cried alot because when i was very little, my family use this car and im on the back seat, and now im on the driver seat, still use this car btw cause its amazing because its fit on my thin body and i dont really like a big car like Range Rover and Toyota Hilux. :D

I have the 5door one and I can say I'm very impressed,I buy it with installed lpg unit and cost me less then my scooter to drive.I have noticed problems with coolant system,I have leak problems every month and I have change almost everything,the engine power is enough for all around use if you don't carry much people,the only think scare me is uphills in highway,if you carry 4people you will find yourself Fighting with 3rd gear.
My ex gorlfriend bought that car back in the day with this engine. Terrible at driving and awful brakes. The only thing i liked was the back seats with her 😂
I had the 1.1 aswell. If you want a car that's extremely cheap to run and hassle free then this is it. Yeah it's not fast but living here in the UK there are speed cameras literally everywhere anyway. It cruises happily at 70 on the motorway that's all you need 🤷♂️
I think French cars have often had something fascinating and quirky in terms of design that ages well, especially Peugeot. Peugeot has yet to fail me in terms of French car design, and I think this generation of 206 is the most manly and stylish European hatchback design you can find. I have literally not ever seen a Peugeot that looks odd in a bad way.
Maybe it's funny for you, but this car is still produced in my country with the same engine and it is sold at the price of 11 thousand dollars, it might be interesting to know that the rear windows of the car are optional if it is electric 😐🤦♂️
Też takim jeździłem, jakieś 11 lat do tyłu, również silnik 1.1 tyle że 5-drzwiowy, miło wspominam, o dziwo nie wydawał mi się wtedy jakiś bardzo mułowaty :)
I have a 206 like this but a different colour red and 5 door 2005. My grandfather bought it in 2012 with 70.000kilometers. Now it has 177.000 ! It has all the package for a young driver . Especially here in Greece the price you will find on a gas station is 1.85€ 1.90€ per liter.... This car have also very cheap parts and every car mechanic knows those car how to fix theme so you have nothing to fear! Unless the taxes in Greece of course...

Hi all - 206 owners i am looking for an advice. I am in the market for a 206 (perhaps other supermini), which do you think is the ideal engine choice? 2/3 city usage for short runs - rest is mostly B roads i rarely use the higways
I owned a 2001 206 1.9d and it was good, very good but for the use you're going to do of the car, I think is better a 1.1 or 1.4 petrol unit in good condition. It won't be expensive and will be useful for you.
I have the 1.1 60hp and the fuel consumption is amazing but i would much rather have the 1.4 75hp because i would rather go a little bit faster. The car is really light so it feels really fast too and in my opinion its design has aged really great when compering to cars its age,the car is really easy to park in town too and it has nice interior for its price and mine has 110k miles and it has never had any mechanical problems and the repairs are pretty cheap,a good daily driving car!!
I have a 1.4, and it's a really good daily driver. I like it! But I heard the 1.6 engines are better and faster white larger breaks, but more expensive to repair!
This is my first car but from year 2000, 1.1 engine is good on fuel consumption. For current prices it's very good!

What's best is manual or automatic?
I'd steer clear of these older French automatic gearboxes, they aren't the best. Stick to manual with these cars

1.4 75 HP - friend had one from 2004 (bought brand new) for last 14 years and except from some electrical failures it was good car.

1.6 16v tu5jp4 109 hp. its great- you have extra power for highway- decent cruise speed and its very reliable
