  • Climbing Lobuche East peak in Nepal was the highlight of my trip. After finishing the Everest Base Camp Trek I joined my 2 friends to climb Lobuche peak which was my 1st 6000m mountain.
    Being a hiking guide in Hawaii, I was in good physical shape, but I had not much experience in mountaineering, definitely not on high elevation.
    It was a lifetime experience which opened the door for me towards climbing.
    Thank you for CrewTreks (www.crewtreks.com) for helping this climb come together.

    Thank you for sharing! This is the next goal and adventure i have on my bucket list. I just did Kilimanjaro at 5,895m but no snow / ice to deal with. This definitely adds technicality with ropes and crampons. I see you only really switched to crampons and clipped in ropes for the summit night, so up to high camp is still hiking boots and 'trekking' unattached? great footage shot while navigating elevatioN!!!

      Thank You Tess for the feedback!
      Kilimanjaro is a different beast, but definitely not technical. Up to high camp I was actually hiking with my trail runners :) From 17,000ft where high campnis we started out early and used just the boots on the rocky areas until we reached the snow culoir. That’s where the fun started :D
      I think it is a great step up for you from Kili. It will be different but I think you will like it. Good luck!

    Just discovered your channel after researching Cerro Chirripo. Amazing cinematography mate!
    I do the same type of content on my channel. I know from being at the top of Orizaba that filming at that altitude takes some serious discipline, great work!😂

    I just completed South EBC (slept overnight) and now considering a 6000m+ mountain. Lobuche East or another 6000m+. Seems like everyone recommends Lobuche East as the first 6000m+ mountain to climb. Did you go with EliteExped? Great video!

    • @HungaroExplorer
      @HungaroExplorer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lobuche East or Island Peak is one of the more recommended peaks yes. I went with my friends company CrewTreks, but EliteExped must be good too.
      Lobuche is a great first 6000 meter peak, no doubt! Have a great climb if you do it!

      Yes, I am hubgarian, but I live in Hawaii now.
      En egy ismerosom altal jutottam ki Nepalba. Van egy tura cege Seattleben, ugyhogy ha te Magyarorszagrol akarsz kimenni, jobb lenne egy ceget talalnod otthol. Nagyon ajanlom ezt a csucsot mert ha lenyomsz egy Everest Base Camp turat, akklimatizalodsz es ez extra 2 nap max, hogy megmaszd.

      Yes, this was actually the “false peak” of Lobuche. I realized that most of the people stops here. I think there is ankther way to reach the actual peak, but not sure. Have you done the actual Lobuche?

    Did you join a trekking company for Lobuche? How much did the trek cost? Thanks!

    • @HungaroExplorer
      @HungaroExplorer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I joined my friend's group, his company is called CrewTreks. I did not have to pay just for the permit to climb Lobuche which is $250 plus an extra $250 for the high camp sleep, food and guide. I was lucky to just pay the bare minimum, otherwise the trek can cost together with EBC about 4k+. Just to add Louche to your itinerary can be extra $1500. Price can vary I guess, depending on who you join or who you know.
      I hope this helps!
