    About this video:
Welcome to my journey to base of the top of the world ( Everest Base Camp - 5364m) and the climbing of Island peak - 6189m and Lobuche East - 6119 m in Nepal.
The idea came to my mind as I heard the news that Nepal has opened its borders for vaccinated travellers but I was still required to serve 10 day stay home notice in Singapore on my return from Nepal.
After carefully considering most of the known possible situations that could have happened to me during this travel, I eventually decided to book the tickets and engaged a trekking company in Nepal.
Now back in Singapore for past 10+ days, I am delighted to say that with God's grace, not a single thing went wrong.
Below 4 videos mainly cover the trek to Everest Base Camp in order -
Part 1 - Singapore to Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
    • Everest Base Camp Trek...
Part 2 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar
    • Everest Base Camp Trek...
Part 3 - Namche Bazaar to Dingboche
    • Everest Base Camp Trek...
Part 4 - Dingboche to Everest Base Camp
    • Everest Base Camp Trek...
Below 3 videos shows my successful attempt on summit push of Island Peak and Lobuche East -
Dingboche to Island Peak Base Camp
    • Climbing Island Peak |...
    Island Peak Summit Push
    • Climbing Island Peak (...
    Lobuche East Summit Push
    • Climbing Lobuche East ...
Below is the complete order of my trek where I walked for approximately 210 km for 15 days -
Singapore to Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding to Namche Bazaar to Tengboche to Deboche to Pangboche to Dingboche to Chukhung to Island Peak Base Camp to Island Peak Summit to Chukhung to Thukla to Lobuche East Higher Camp to Lobuche East Summit to Lobuche to Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp to all the same way back to Singapore.

We are Mayur, Gayatri and Om residing in sunny Singapore. Amongst us we have an Indian who grew up in India, a Singaporean ceylonese who spent decade of her life in Australia and lastly our son, a true born citizen of the mixes, half Indian, half ceylonese and very Singaporean.
Our videos mainly consist of mountain climbing trips, some solo journeys but mostly of our family of 3. We thrive with each others company on our road less travelled in our own unique style. We really love off the beaten kind of adventures, eating local food, meeting ethnic tribes, going back in time with some historical sites and simply getting lost. Being in corporate job for the daily survival, our dream here is to inspire people to explore this beautiful world and realise that there is more in life than just 9 to 5.

I don't remember how much the battery lasted..because it was not coming up in freezing cold..but then it came up and managed to use go pro to record some stuff.

Seems like Island Peak's summit push is harder than Lobuche East's. How do you think?

    • @TheBraveTourist
      @TheBraveTourist  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes island peak is more harder i guess especially the last 300m head wall where people mostly give up. But lubuche is also very steep ...its just that my body got better acclimatization after IP and also i was in the company of legendry guides on lobuche..
