To be fair, Teclis would have been my choice. His perpetual ability to spam that crow-AOE spell alone is ridiculous. He is also nearly unkillable in melee. Hell - most Teclis fans actually use mods to WEAKEN him to make it more fun. It does not hurt that loremasters are some of the tankiest and most useful heroes as well. In warhammer 2 I had a lizard commander called Hextoc that soloed a whole skaven army. Hextoc had about 1k at the end. Literally acted as a one man army that single handedly dealt with the whole skaven faction.

The Skink heroes can be BRUTAL once they are mounted on stegadons. I often play modded Oxyotl. My army consists of lots of Chameleon Skinks, one Skink Oracle, one Skink Priest, two Skink Chiefs, the two starter units of Feral Bastiladons and Oxy the Doom Slayer. That's all it needs. With the modded talents, I can give all of my heroes and dinos Stalk. I position the swarm of Chameleons to start shooting, and charge in my tanky dinos to distract and hold. Then I shoot the enemy to pieces while kiting them. Season to taste with spells, and that mod that gives Oxyotl Stalk Stance, so that he can ambush all day, every day. Works BEAUTIFULLY. Most fun army I have ever had, right up there with modded Tomb Kings, with Lahmizzash + Ushabti spam, or Wakhaf and cavalry spam.

Yes, and it's even easier with the Vampire Counts. Vlad and Isabella with a couple of vampire heroes are essentially unkillable. The enemies are forced to blob up on you, making their ranged units mostly team-kill, your Winds of Death will hit nearly the entire army every time, and your healing spells and Danse Macbre will hit your entire army, combined with their innate healing from The Hunger and they just don't take much damage at all.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the video title because this is my favorite way to play Immortal Empires with friends. One of us gets Vlad/Isabella, the other picks a nearby faction, and we divide up, protecting the other's back borders.
Skaven are great for it too, between packmasters/warlords getting regen from mounts, infinite sorcerer capacity from followers, chieftains giving the lord they're with 90% ward save...it can get silly.
I'd say Morghur as well due to his passive AOE damage aura that does 32-64 damage a second along with just passively turning any hostile unit at 25% hp or lower into Chaos Spawn.
I like to imagine Gor-Rok just pulls a Chris Redfield and headbutts the incoming boulder (he can't punch it cause he's holding axes) and the boulder actually has less damage resistance than Gor-Rok, so it just shatters into pieces upon contact with Gor-Rok's Tyrannosaurus-like skull.

Today's video featuring Gor'Rok and The Boys, partaking in significant tomfoolery, some mild shenanigans, and just a touch of first-rate shaboingery. Gentlemen, this will be a campaign to remember.
Yeah, with the Lizardmen, you eventually reach the point where you recruit heroes around level 30 rather regularly simply due to how each of the faction's bonuses work. Especially if you have the legendary heroes that boost levels of specific heroes. I remember I stop playing a Lizardmen campaign when I instantly recruit a Slan Lord at level 40, with a complement of heroes around level 30, because that is just unfair for them.
Lizardmen is a bit similar to Skaven, ironically, in that if you dont know how to play them its a horrible experience but once you understand they are some of the most fun
Not if you play as the guy who gives discount and bonuses to skinks. His whole deal is to have full armies of skinks and even the high tier ones autoresolve like crap against small dark elf garrisons, that would be boring to fight manually, but if you don't want to lose a unit or two every time, you have to waste your time on manual combat. Especially if you get those red crested skinks, they drop like flies in every autoresolve. So you have to manually fight every damn insignificant battle. When autoresolve says phyrric victory, and wants to nuke half my army, and I fight manually losing maybe 20-30 troops, I just want to punch the damn dev who did the autocalcs.

In lore Gor-rok is also a beast. He has been run over a chariot(s) and has been impaled from chest to back by a guy on a chariot using the full speed to pierce his hide. And then just got back up and kept fighting. In the endtimes he and nakai were the only survivors of a massive battle at Itza having killed an entire skaven army. They had to literally crawl out of the mounds of bodies made up of lizard people and rats. Then peices of the moon fell on them and presumably that is what finally killed them..... ya that last part has an explanation but let's just say the endtimes was a massively weird and bad time and few were really left satisfied amongst the fans.
We don't talk about the end times. Lizards got done dirty. Though mazumandi saved half the world before the end but was taunted by the chaos gods as he died.
Guide to the end times: do not read about the end times if you do not like skaven (they nuked a whole dwarf hold as a funny gag by ramming three hell pit abomination kamikaze’s through the main gate)
Back in WH2 I had The Fey Enchantress beat an entire stack of units by herself. She had capped magic resist and Wurrzag gives all his units magic attacks, so she took almost no damage fighting them. Healing + AoE spells + Wurzzag shooting his own units helped out. One of my greatest memeories.
Best thing about Lord Kroak for usual games is that he not only can nuke enemies in large area from start of the game, but he is also not damaging allies with these spells.
Don't know if this has been said or you learned it already, but the reason Cathay was over near you is because their new lord from the recent dlc, can't remember the name but it has the changeling in it, starts over near you because lore wise he's on a crusade on the Lizardmen. I watched through the video, and if you did know I didn't catch that. I know I might sound snobby, but I don't mean to and just wanted to be as helpful as I could :)

This is what happens when your tank and DPS are at max level and decide to go back to an early game area without the healer because your passive regen is more than sufficient, in a game that doesn't scale down your powers or raise the enemy's stats; scratch that they get the healer back later in the video and just steamroll everything X3

Gor-rok has been my favorite hero since I first got into Warhammer Total War and I love to see him getting some attention. He's such a crazy cool lord. Cons - - Is on foot so he's not particularly fast - Moderate damage means he takes a while to kill things Pros - - Cannot get tired - Cannot get scared - Causes fear in his enemies - Expert defense trait - 65% innate ward save - Twice as much mass as he should have, which is already considerable, lets him bodily shove around everything but literal giants - Bucketloads of health - Near infinite regeneration of aforementioned bucketloads of health - Has a demigod on speed-dial - Visually one of the coolest characters (He's a 10 foot tall albino dinosaur man with a mace, come on) Sure he's not the fastest killer in the world, but that doesn't matter when he literally NEVER STOPS pursuing his enemies and is virtually impossible to kill. I had an awesome battle taking a city from the bretonnians and two cavalry units converged to charge Gor-rok specifically. Popped his expert defense from his shield and watched as their hammer formations collided with him, instantly lost half their unit health, and Gor-rok literally didn't even flinch. They crumpled into him like paper-Mache against a wall. It was glorious.

Great video. You should try the same concept but with skaven. The Grey seer and plague priests can summon armies of clan rats, you can increase their capacity with Bell Polishers, there's a skaven item called "Warpstone Armor" that makes your heroes mortis engines and Plague is one of the stronghest vortexes in the game.
So you basically was conquering the Warhammer world with the equivalent of an MMO raid group, lol. You even got your trinity of Tanks, DPS & Healers. I may have to give this a go myself...

Gor-rok has been my favorite hero since I first got into Warhammer Total War and I love to see him getting some attention. He's such a crazy cool lord.
Cons -
- Is on foot so he's not particularly fast
- Moderate damage means he takes a while to kill things
Pros -
- Cannot get tired
- Cannot get scared
- Causes fear in his enemies
- Expert defense trait
- 65% innate ward save
- Twice as much mass as he should have, which is already considerable, lets him bodily shove around everything but literal giants
- Bucketloads of health
- Near infinite regeneration of aforementioned bucketloads of health
- Has a demigod on speed-dial
- Visually one of the coolest characters (He's a 10 foot tall albino dinosaur man with a mace, come on)
Sure he's not the fastest killer in the world, but that doesn't matter when he literally NEVER STOPS pursuing his enemies and is virtually impossible to kill.
I had an awesome battle taking a city from the bretonnians and two cavalry units converged to charge Gor-rok specifically. Popped his expert defense from his shield and watched as their hammer formations collided with him, instantly lost half their unit health, and Gor-rok literally didn't even flinch. They crumpled into him like paper-Mache against a wall. It was glorious.

Humble is an ok trait early, but Star Chambers do the same and they are not region locked.
The real trait to farm is Pompous. You just touch someone in an army and they all run away.

@@JaySwag77 Hobbits exist in warhammer. They're called halflings(which is what Tolkien also occasionally called the hobbits) and they have a significant presence in the Reikland capital of Altdorf & also have their own elector province in the Halfling Moot.

Great video. You should try the same concept but with skaven. The Grey seer and plague priests can summon armies of clan rats, you can increase their capacity with Bell Polishers, there's a skaven item called "Warpstone Armor" that makes your heroes mortis engines and Plague is one of the stronghest vortexes in the game.
I like to imagine that Gor-Rok is constantly bloody yet on full health is because he is blading like crazy like Ric Flair.
