48:20 That's not a "random Kislev faction" that's one of their three (4 now that Mother Ostankya is a thing) legendary lords, Boris Ursus, aka the true king of Kislev, who was frozen in some random ass cave for Ursun knows how long, and he actually spawns up there in the chaos wastes, somewhat near Archaon.
13:22 for some reason the pathfinding ai decides that even if only 1 model from another unit is going through the gate, that entire other unit is going through the gate and it's therefore quicker to use the ladders. So if you want to shove units through the gate you have to filter them in 1 by 1 or have them all use ladders
I've had more problems with ladders as they'll clump up on the ladders instead of going through the open gate, fucking up everything as I have to wait for them to finish climbing for so long(I make sure to use shift when moving units in settlements now)
Honestly as a smoothbrain gun line main, I adore Cathay for their Lord Magistrate. Just casually giving the entire army Vanguard Deployment and rapid reload.

Ah, see I thought that was the reason you specifically picked Yuan Bo for this challenge, it's so easy to confederate all of the other Cathayan factions really quickly with him. Assumed that was your plan to get those confederated armies as not technically recruiting them. You can even confederate the other two legendary lord factions with little effort

Because the Cathay dragons' health pools between humanoid form and dragon form are considered different health pools by the healing cap mechanic, thank CA for that since they went the lazy way with how transformation mechanics work. (the human form unit straight up gets replaced by the dragon form unit during the transformation, and vice versa, so they're considered different units by the game engine)

Time Commanders was funny because there were multiple people on each team and by the time they'd agreed on a unit order, the moment had passed and they got annihilated. It was seriously great entertainment!
Fun fact - my uncle knew the main tech guy on Time Commanders. He also knew I was/am a huuuuuge total war fan, and I'd told him the show used the same engine. He got me invited to the set and I proceeded to Wipe The Floor with their entire battle tech team. It kinda helped that I had basically memorised the stat blocks for almost every unit and knew all the cheese tactics lmao. Surprisingly I wasn't invited onto the actual show hahaha

I did this same challenge on accident when I did a campaign with Taurox. I got my hands on the Sword of Khaine and then disbanded all my armies. Taurox with SoK was more than enough to take on any number of enemies
Man time commanders was a blast from the past, most of the contestants got rekt but there was the occasional win, especially fun when it was a battle that was historically lost
I still don't know what they were smoking when they made the Storm Dragon use no Heaven Magic (you know, actual lightning stuff) but Life Magic instead and the Jade Dragon Storm Magic but no Life Magic. I sure want some though

Yuan Bo and Carstain blade is op combo, for some reason, his dragon form and human form have separate hp regen bars.. Meaning he can first regen cap his human form, then turn into dragon to heal extra hp bar. Imo the best Hybrid lord in the game rn.
Interesting idea, don't know if it's possible either, what about a Total Warhammer, Diplomacy Only run? It would probably need some exceptions like, ambushes do not count as a fail since there's no way for you to resolve peacefully, but think it could be pretty interesting to route out and attempt
