Excellent videos and your finding great product knowledge to report back to Empi. Valve cover and cylinder to head fit. Both big problems that should be corrected! Baja Bug videos, yes keep them coming. Keep up the good work! 😎👍
perhaps I'm wrong but... if U compare a mounting direction of shaft bearing on a 1. half they are mached holes with oil line hole, on a second IMO is in opposite direction... [around 21:00 -> ] . Hole for oil is heading up to valve pulleys (1.) and second half of engine block are down...
I know you guys are going thru hell but some of us are learning a lot out here and its not BS. I am a new customer an this is info that is just HUGE. Thank you guy's so much for sharing all of this. It's priceless
@@johnwerner7194 it's is truly my pleasure. Through the ups or the downs of all of this, I thank God that I have this opportunity cause there are much worse days to make a living. I am very fortunate to get paid to do this!
He had a lot going on and it wasn't his dyno. When we first talked about where we wanted to run the engine, we discussed not taking it over 7k but oh well. What's done is done!
Haha, thanks. The best tool for the job is whatever is close at hand...sometimes! I'd say that if this wasn't a disassembly I'd use the "right" tool, but I'd probably still have used the "all sixteenths" if it was close by.
I think no matter what you should only offer a welded and balanced fan anyways I would never buy a cheap one I rather have an original German 1Or a welded balanced one

Only the 3-4 side of the main bearings have oil galleys, the 1-2 side of the case does not. If that's the question.
@@Sam_Mebane yes. Thanks .
Yah dump the videos, love your Baja. Keep up the good work. 👍
Working on them now!
Kinda sad that empi valve covers .. don't fit empi heads 😢
A stock cooling fan can only handle 6500rpm right?
If that, we don't like running a stock fan over 6000.

Good to know. I wasn't sure.

Surprised the Dyno guy pushed the engine over 6000rpm with a stock cooling fan, in the engine.

@@Sam_Mebane Understood.
I like your videos but when you used a "Crescent wrench" to crack the drain plug 😱 I know , it's a $6.00 drain plug 😁 otherwise you do good work . 👍

To true , and I have never done a "tear down " or a "engine build " video and I probably never will . Happy building brother 😎
Definitely dump the Baja videos. I like the concept. Bought a ‘68 a year ago to restore with my daughter.
