Welding seems to be 'learn by doing' Just as soon as Nate get comfortable getting CLOSE to the arch, he'll be awesome. Speaking of which...now that Nate can weld, send him out to Arkansas, I need some help!
Spray raw metal with WD-40 and it won't flash rust. Learned that trick from my fabricator buddy and it works great. When it comes to painting, you gotta clean the metal anyways.
You're doing great welding Nate! practice as often as you can and remember the #1 rule of welding, 'if you can't see it you can't weld it' and get as comfortable as possible, you look like a natural and you're lucky to have a great father as your teacher. Floor pans look great! looking forward to the progress
