    Sir, Theatre of absurd is marked between 1950s to 1980s but we find the traces of absurdity from 1920s in the works of Franz Kafka like The trial and Metamorphosis.
    So why didn't we mark the birth of this literary period from 1920s?
    Just because they were not under the genre of Drama and focus more on existential philosophy?

    • @DrVinayBharat
      @DrVinayBharat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "The Metamorphosis" was more under the influence of Freudian psychological studies.
      The division of ages is watermarked under conventions , considering the most dominant forces of the time. Needless to say , 1920s was the era of Freudian school of thoughts.
      Absurdity after the World War (I )has yet to go through another World War for its complete manifestation !
