@@sgwigglysquid230 there are no lights coming through my windows and no mirrors. My base stations are facing forward at the corners of my room. While calibrating my trackers, they were in direct view of them.
How can you get the base stations working with the quest cause I have the HTC vive and quest tho my vive stopped working but I tried getting my base stations with my quest although it doesn't show on my steamvr app (sorry for a confusing question)
Its ok lol The reason why your base stations are not showing up is because a vive tracker needs to be turned on and connected to your vive dongles. Then your basestations detect the tracker and it then shows up on your steam vr menu. The tracker would need to be in view of your basestations however. If you have further questions dont hesitate to ask 😁
Question, when you opened steamvr. How did the oculus app not open? I find that to be annoying when the oculus app opens with steamvr and causes my pc to slow down a little. Is there a setting for that?
Personally I use virtual desktop. Virtusl dedktop is a vr casting software. You can get it on quest store for 20 bucks. Then install virtusl desktop streamer on pc (which is free) Its soooocmuch better. It aldo depends on internet connection as a good connection is required. Also it doesnt run off of the oculus app so VR games can run better
Bro I love you video. Do we have to do this collaboration process every time we start a new vr session? Is the any options idk mb to save collaboration settings and don't do it again every time?
there are times I notice a little bit of lag when I have them on here and there. I dont have many tips however I can just give a few suggestions. try restarting your pc, also make sure no extra background processes are being ran while running vrchat as it could cause performance issues

Great tutorial! Helped alot getting mine set up. My only problem is that I'm having issues with the legs of my avatar bending constantly. I've messed around with the height in vrchat but nothing really seemed to work. Do you have any advice?

Can anyone help me?? My base station just blinks white & doesn't connect or do anything like lino to steam VR & it keeps saying i have no Bluetooth connection??
Hi there One of the issues that can be causing thst would be the base station being on a unstable platform that could cause vibration or shaking "This indicates that the Base Station is not stable or is encountering vibrations. This will prevent the laser from functioning. Make sure your Base Station is in a stable location and is not being subject to vibration or shaking." Also the base stations do not connect to your pc in any way as they are only reference points for your trackers. However other aources are saying its a defective base station. Things I can suggest is to try restarting it by unplugging and plugging it back in
If unplugging the base station and plugging it in doesnt work and you have a stable platform its on then it might be a defective base station as I havenever had a blinkimg white LED. Sources from steam forums say that it could be broken
when i do the calibration it just doesnt put the trackers where they need to be its like way off and ive done it loads of times ive tried searchin how to fix this and have no idea please help
Hello there. Sorry your having all of these issues. May I ask how many base stations you have? Is there a lot of lighting in your room? And what version of the vive trackers do you have?
@@amycotterill6517 also keep in mind glare from windows can distort the base stations. Light from a ceiling light is fine but if its bright lights coming from windows or the sun peeping through it can mess up the calibration

Hello. I see your having issues with innacurate tracking. I have the same issue sometimes. Just make sure that there are not any windows bringing in any bright lights and there is enough distance between you and the tracker. I remember it needs to be 2M or more but could be wrong
Restart pc, then after restart try again. Check to make sure that space calibrater is running in the background. Sometimes steam vr likes to block 3rd party sources. Make sure you also go theough your steamvr settings and unblock all the software
I'm having an issue. When I calibrate, my trackers are showing up REALLY far from my body. If I look down, I don't see them on my feet, I see them like 10 feet Infront of me for some reason. Any solutions? I've tried recalibrating over and over.
Im sorry your having issues with your trackers. Is there any bright lights entering your bedroom like a window, lamp or anything else? Also how do you have your base stations set?
@@sgwigglysquid230 No bright lights, just my bedroom lights so nothing ridiculous. Honestly I think it was the fact the base stations are just old hardware. They wouldn't update at all so the firmware was from like 2016 lol. They're spaced perfectly apart and angled correctly. I just think the base 1.0 with no firmware upgrades are not compatible with 3.0 trackers. Everything was pretty messed up
@@Stasis117 weird. I use 2.0 trackers so apoligies for not having experience with 1.0 but yeah thats weird it should just work. Wait actually one last thing are your base stations on the same lettered channel?
i have mine working but the tracker i calibrated with loses tracking and my lag floats away, is this because I'm using 3.0 trackers with 1.0 base stations?
with the 1.0 base stations there is not much room coverage. they would need to be a lot further away. However the 2.0 base stations have wider FOV which can track a lot more than the 1.0
I don’t expect anyone to answer my question but does my headset need to be detected in order for a the base stations and trackers to be detected or to show up when connecting them for the first time?

Does this work with tandra trackers too? Because i have three of those but i dont have vive trackers.
I think so
I think as long as your on the quest 2 it would be the same calibration for any tracker
Oh ok thank you
I know this was a while ago but everytime I do the calibration my trackers always end up so far to the left or right, does anyone know how to fix this??? :(
Hi there
I am sorry you are having trouble wit your trackers. Im gonna ask some questions first.
Are there any lights coming through your window into your room that can disrupt the tracking?
Also are there any mirrors in your room that can mess it up as well?
How did you set up base stations? Are they looking downward slightly or looking straight across?
How far are away are your basestations from each other? Are they too close?
Are you calibrating your trackers while being in site of your base stations?
Sorry for the questions. I am just seeing what could be a possible issue
Hey really helpful video. I have a question sometimes while i play vrchat my hip sometimes spazzes out, is there a way to fix that? it happens every 5-10 mins
It can be caused by objects blocking view between base station and tracker. Just make sure you dont get out of view
The openvr calibrater won’t download it keeps saying failed and to abort download
Do you have enough space on your hardrive to install it?
what what 1.0 base stations work as well
Yes
awesome video but I have a question. Whenever I try to pair my trackers, they seem to be extremely far away from where they are actually. I’ve tried manual calibration, unplugging dongles, unplugging base stations, nearly everything. Could you help me?

How can you get the base stations working with the quest cause I have the HTC vive and quest tho my vive stopped working but I tried getting my base stations with my quest although it doesn't show on my steamvr app (sorry for a confusing question)
Its ok lol
The reason why your base stations are not showing up is because a vive tracker needs to be turned on and connected to your vive dongles.

Then install virtusl desktop streamer on pc (which is free)
Its soooocmuch better. It aldo depends on internet connection as a good connection is required. Also it doesnt run off of the oculus app so VR games can run better

Do you need 2.0 Base Stations or can I get away with 1.0's? I know 2.0's work better, but there are hardly ever available and I wouldn't mind saving the extra money haha. Thanks in advance.
Sorry about that I made it sounde like vive 2.0 were required.
Yes you can use vive 1.0 as well
Great tutorial! Helped alot getting mine set up. My only problem is that I'm having issues with the legs of my avatar bending constantly. I've messed around with the height in vrchat but nothing really seemed to work. Do you have any advice?
Hi there. It can depend on the avatar you are using. Some may be good with full body tracking and some may not. Try a different avatar and see if you have the same leg issues

Hello what can I help you with?
I have a new updated tutorial for calibrating your trackers to have more accurate tracking. You can watch it here, th-cam.com/video/xkPb2cSGAT4/w-d-xo.html
Do you know if the 1.0 base stations work for this as well? because at the moment 2.0 trackers are out of stock literally everywhere- its insane so im debating on just getting 1.0 stations
as I have heard they do work with 1.0 base stations.
how did u get ur base stations to connect to steam vr? I only get Bluetooth is not enabled
your base stations do not connect to the computer whatsoever. Your trackers is what uses the base stations to track your movement. the second you turn on one of your trackers and make sure your tracker is in view of the base station your computer will pick up the base station

Can anyone help me?? My base station just blinks white & doesn't connect or do anything like lino to steam VR & it keeps saying i have no Bluetooth connection??
Hi there
One of the issues that can be causing thst would be the base station being on a unstable platform that could cause vibration or shaking
"This indicates that the Base Station is not stable or is encountering vibrations. This will prevent the laser from functioning. Make sure your Base Station is in a stable location and is not being subject to vibration or shaking."
Also the base stations do not connect to your pc in any way as they are only reference points for your trackers.
@@sgwigglysquid230I have unplugged it and it did not work either still just a blank white light so it likely a defective unit?. . .

Try contacting valve or if you have purchased form a different retailer ask for a different unit

Hello. I see your having issues with innacurate tracking. I have the same issue sometimes. Just make sure that there are not any windows bringing in any bright lights and there is enough distance between you and the tracker. I remember it needs to be 2M or more but could be wrong

hahaha glad you found my video helpful. So the open space calibrater is what you use to calibrate the trackers. After you are done calibrating you are to leave that program on during gameplay.
