@@biancacanelo4555 Hey! There’s a strip less than 10 minutes away that has parties and restaurants. As for the hotel itself, it’s super chill honestly. After the night performances you’re pretty much on your own to find events off the resort.

I stayed at the RIU in Jamaica - it was beautiful. They had multiple pools available, multiple restaurants on site, and bars as well. This seems like a similar layout.

Make sure you download your own recipe for your drinks cuz they will make it for you. Otherwise their drinks are watered down.
Arthur the music guy wears a Lakers jersey and carries large speakers at the infinity pool and he plays music after the riu main court stops playing music ( Midnight) he's the after party guy

Hello, what was bad about it? I was considering booking this hotel for week.
@@berito_leona i made the best of it, when i wrote that i hadnt seen the lonely pool on the right, it is beautiful and the beach in front too. The room looks old and thera are not enough elevators but the overall experience was good. Another thing we didnt like is that ir close to the clubs area as a family thats not too beneficial because there are plenty of joung people partying, but if you are jung or without children thst might be good for you

Hey! Drinks and food are included. The Japanese restaurant was fine dining and for the other restaurants a lot of people dressed up for dinner but that was optional. Otherwise, I dressed pretty cutsie casual to eat at the hotel.

I remember staying at a Riu resort in Puerto Vallarta and they let me explore other Riu resorts other than mine. Also, I notcied they have a nightclub/disco on their property. Was it open or closed due to covid?
Hey! I actually didn’t look into visiting other RIU resorts. I know a lot of hotels weren’t accepting visitors due to Covid, but you can call the resort and find out. The night club was open. I didn’t go, but the workers promoted it a lot. I’m not sure if there are any changes now since I went January.

Did you have to take a COVID test before leaving the resort? I think it's required now by the CDC. If you did have to take it, was it a hassle to schedule it at the hotel? Did they make you go to a clinic off or on-site? Thanks! Great video by the way.
Hey! Actually, no I didn’t have to take a Covid test. I went from the end of December into January. I did recently hear exactly what you mentioned about taking a test, but I’m not sure about the process. You can call the hotel you plan on staying at to ask.
I just did it you schedule it show up with your passport scan a qr code and the will call your name, i suggest doing it in the afternoon mornings are crazy. Then they email you the results the next morning and it goes straight to spam
Nice vlog I’ve seen part 2&3 and you guys had a lot of fun! I plan on going to the hotel riu costa mujeres for my bday in June. Due to them not exchanging money and their currency differences.. the room I’m looking to pay comes out to $1,600, would that actually be cheaper once they take my money from debit account or is it better to pay in cash ?
Thank you for watching ❤️. If the room online said 1,600 USD then there will be no currency change. If you were paying in their currency then there would be currency exchange. We paid with our debit card.

We are staying at the riu Santa Fe this Thursday. Thanks for the review is there a theme night ( nights where you get dressed up for dinner and music)
Hey!! There were no specific theme nights, but I notice that people dress formal for dinner at night .
@@Tiffystyles we just stayed there and yes you're right. No theme shows except at the main area where they have videos and kids riu dance. No pool parties. The guy with the Lakers shirt (Arthur) had speakers by the infinity pool playing good music. He also played music at midnight in the main area where the fountain is. He's the after hour guy. His music was way better than Riu's. Their food was just ok. The steak house was good ( by the infinity pool) and you could find great deals in excursions at the beach.

Hi! Im interested in going for my birthday in june. Is food, excursions and all of that included or do you have to pay extras for certain things? Also how much spending money would you recommend going with?
Hey! Everything is included besides excursions. So drinks and food are included. I brought 300 and spent exactly that amount. I went shopping, paid 100 for ATV and zip-lining, went to restaurants which were cheap, and bought a lot of street food. Also, I didn’t take cabs because they overcharged so I took the bus, which was only one dollar.

Taking the bus is so smart! How did you find out which bus to take and at what times they came at?
Definitely saved me a lot because the cabs were pricey. The workers at the hotel helped us understand the bus system. It’s pretty easy depending on where you want to go because one bus goes downtown and the other the opposite direction as if you’re heading towards the airport. Also, Google maps helped us to know exactly where to get off. The bus came every 5-10 minutes.

Hello 👋 👋, we are headed to cancun in July and I have a few questions..can you walk from riu cancun to coco bongo or so we have to take the bus? Also were there many activities at the hotel and also was the coco bongo area popping at night? Thanks in advance, we're trying to figure out if we should postpone till next year.
Hey! It’s only about a 10-minute walk. You can take the bus as well to get there faster. At the hotel, there were live shows or karaoke every night. During the day, they had volleyball games by the beach, jet skiing( you have to pay), or other fun games they made up. Of course, the main activities like ATV, zip-lining are offered at the hotel, but you have to pay. I think Cancun is still very lively, especially during Covid. Covid didn't stop anything, so I suggest going.

I don't get it, you said that you did not ocean view, but when you were showing your room on mn12:22 you showed it a nice ocean view.. You guys contradicted yourself when you said you saw the ocean view from the lobby.
Hey! When we passed other hotels on the bus, we looked through the lobby of other hotels and we literally saw the ocean through the entrance. If you’re on the strip and you take the bus downtown you’d see what we mean. We weren’t talking about the room view because we have an ocean view room.

Hey! No I didn’t have to get a Covid test. I’m not big on this resort because there are better ones , however it wasn’t horrible. There are just a couple things I stated In the video that I didn’t like.

I went to Riu Montego Bay and I felt the same way. It was ok but I was not impressed and am unlikely to return.
That’s interesting that so many people have said similar things about who’ve traveled to different countries.

Would you recommend this Resort as a “Honeymoon get away” ?

Honestly I wouldn’t go there for a honeymoon. For me personally, I don’t think the rooms are amazing enough for a honeymoon( although the ocean view is the best ). They do have a suite with a sea view, single bed , and a hydro massage bath but looks like it is for one person. I would also go to an all adults resort for a honeymoon. There are other hotels on that same strip that are way better.
I don’t know if you’ve heard of Tulum, but there are some BEAUTIFUL hotels in the jungle that I’d recommend you looking into for a honeymoon getaway although they’re not directly located on the ocean.

@@TRURastadred Well I haven’t been, but if the hotel is new then I’m sure they will have better facilities. I’m sure the rooms will be better.
Is there a place to sit and work in the resort? Since there is no computer desk in the room.
There is a long table under the Tv. If you want, you can’t use the chairs they placed against the sliding doors to sit at the table. Otherwise, if you’re talking about a quiet lounge area, I don’t remember there being one.
Prices shot up ⬆️ crazy before I could pay for our other choice so I was sad about having to go here but grateful because it’s Mexico 🇲🇽 so I’m so glad you made this I feel relieved about our choice I’m excited to go
I know a lot of prices for resorts have gone up because of the amount of tourists. I hope you enjoy your trip !!!!

Hey! There was a party for the new year, however I believe they have a club that they were promoting either very close to the resort or on it. I didn’t go though.

I just researched. It’s called La Pacha. This is a comment someone left. (It’s on the resort) .
The Disco at the RIU CAncun is called La Pacha. It opens at 11pm usually right after the show. It closes at 2am. They play alot of salsa. They do take requests though. I find the disco to attract more of a more mature crowd. Its hit and miss on if it gets busy or not. But if you hit a busy night it does get alot of fun.

There was a mic of young and old. The swim up bar has a nice young crowd. As for dancing at the hotel I believe there’s a club that I didn’t go to, but you can always go to the strip in the area.

Hey! Eh I wouldn’t say the resort is a party scene, but the party scene is a 5 mins walk if not less. I personally wouldn’t go back to this hotel, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

I went at the end of Dec to the beginning of January. It was extremely windy and the waves were very powerful. It’s not very deep(I saw people swimming far out), but I can’t swim, so I’m not one to completely answer that question lol.

Hey! I get more of a super relaxed vibe from this resort honestly. If you’re looking to party etc., and you plan to leave the resort, then yes, but if you want to stay at the resort and go to their bars, then I’d say no. Maybe an adults only resort would be better.

I totally understand. The masks were a bit annoying especially when it’s super hot. I hope everything gets better soon and I will because I want to go back to Mexico badly. I really enjoyed it there.
how much per week and how long did you stay at the RUI?
I stayed for 6 days and everything included was 1600 for the double ocean view room and food etc..

Awww I can imagine how excited you are to travel! I paid 350. I live in NYC, so I guess it all depends on where you’re leaving from.
The pools are not 24/7. They close around 7.

I had a HORRIBLE experience at this place and would HIGHLY recommend AGAINST anyone staying here. I slipped on the condensation on the floor in the room and cut my chin and a little blood got on the sheets. When my Godson tried to leave for his flight, they said he couldn't unless I paid $200 for the sheet and they tried to get me to sign another check in form. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me to leave, as it was the middle of the night, they called the Policia and had us arrested and further extorted. I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. The food wasn't the greatest either. It was 1/21 when I went. I wish I would've read the Trip Adviser reviews. People have broken bones etc from the condensation alone. This is a very bad place.

I’m guessing that’s how you can pay at the hotel. Just want to know what the process would be like.
Oh! I believe it may be like any other transaction where they would charge your card, however, we did pay a small fee. I can’t remember the exact amount, but it was less than 10 dollars. Everyone gets charged that amount.
