I heard ECM Jammers during this scene, and got stunlocked by the fact a military force in Gundam is using electronic warfare equipment. It is extremely rare to see that as mass forces of mobile suits in the UC timeline spread minofski particles everywhere, and there's only a couple of mobile suits dedicated to system jamming. In other timelines sneaking with mobile suits becomes both less common and less practicle, because "giant robot". Off the top of my head: Efreet Nacht, Zaku Flipper, Eyezack/Ewac Zack, and Ewac Jegan, are all dedicated Electronic warfare units, and their all in The UC timeline so their all super niche and work best in big chaotic fights with adequete cover, or small ones where their harder to locate. The only equivilent that I know of from another series is the GINN long range reconaissance type from SEED, by far the best GINN to be in because you can actually sneak out of a fight, and its the only reconissance unit we know of in SEED. Gundam Deathscythe from Wing, and its varients, imo don't count because its also one of the strongest and most durable melee mobile suits ever created, and can actually fight its way out of a situation too well if it gets caught. I bring this up, because people scrambling sensors and radars in Gundam should honestly be more common.
“All your fancy technology, your scanners that can detect any living thing for miles around you, optics that can see across the spectrum and focus on a single coin a mile away, and hell, even your radios. You’ve become so reliant on them that when somebody takes them away, heh, you’re completely helpless.” - Some anime character, probably.
Minovsky particles cause jamming, but the OpFor can detect those particles, so an increase in particle density is a dead giveaway of your presence; traditional EW is far more subtle, but unlike Minovsky particles, cannot reduce/disperse beam weaponry effects. It's all in the trade-offs, Newtype.
This timeline specifically has alot of this, hell the primary issue surrounding the plot is caused by how problematic the Gund-Format's Data storm effects can get and the dangers it posed if it becomes a weapon. They literally made countermeasures for them(which unfortunately we don't get more off), the Gundams are hidden to not be obviously Gundams(pharac being the obvious one)
