You're not using her right. If you actually let her feet touch the ground and sprint once before recasting, Xianyun actually covers a longer distance

she has three seconds of immunity to fall dmg every time she casts her e
she covers the most distance traveling if u sprint - skill - sprint - skill - sprint
she covers the highest height if u ult - skill - jump - skill - skill
if u happen to have a target horizontally located from her elevated position (i.e., a hilichurl on a tower), she can plunge towards it "sidewards"
@@kingdogje7551 she's very flexible and fluid to play with. She can even lock on to some higher enemies and plunge towards them (literally plunging upwards).
@@kingdogje7551the cooldown for her skill also decreases by 3 seconds if you don’t plunge so she has really good uptime on it. Plus her plunge is like a homing missile that can even fight the aeon drake when he’s flying. Very unique and flexible character.
Grandpa Zhongli needs to drop his diet regiment!!! He runs like his life depends on it.
When it comes to long distances, Wanderer covers more distance as he can regenerate more stamina while using his skill and it has a lower cd
When it comes to long distances C1 Yelan can run nearly indefinitely as her extra skill use gives her Stamina nearly infinite recharge potential
sadly but yelan can't win if there are many rivers in the way 🗿

wanderer can do a sprint-jump mechanic while his skill is on cd since his character model is a young male model like venti.
actual xiang yun should hit the ground, sprint then use the next jump. its allot faster. basicly E sprint e sprint e.

Wanderer,Yelan/Neuvillette(depending on land or water),Xianyun and Zhongli is my go to exploration team nowadays.

PRO TIP FPR EVERYONE WHO HAS XIANYUN : Between every jump let her feet actually touch the ground and time the E properly. This grants ALOOOT of jump distance on 2nd and 3rd jumps,
The player on the video didnt do it however still xianyun completed first, however do this and u can cover greater distances! Happy exploring and jumping!
Yep. She gets extreme speed boost6 with the third jump, when doing it right.
Don't sprint twice back to back as fast as you can. It makes the next cooldown longer. Its faster if you time it correctly at an even interval.

After crude testing her sprint E sprint E sprint E covers around same distance as Yelan's but faster and her third jump covers more distance around smooth cliffs and even more distance can be covered if there is an enemy she can lock onto really good in spiral abyss.
technically should be wanderer... but when you fly him thru elevated and/or inclined surfaces he just gets pixel blocked or something (notice how he gets stuck a couple of times as soon as he hits the wooden bridge)
There is a trick for that, you must stop pressing the keys to direct the character and let him fly alone on the inclined surfaces in the direction you left him.
its not by a long shot, they arent using xianyun correctly

She can just jump over obstacles on her way so her traversal ability on uneven pathways/small hills is godlike.
There’s also 2 seconds between her E taps so u can dash or jump over stuffs for covering even more ground.
Yea, at first i rolled her just for her looks, i dont play Xiao btw, then i use her on exploration.
god dang she performed too good, blazing fast, i managed to hit 70-100k/E3, shes at lvl 70. im totally C6 ing her on her 2nd/3rd rerun

@@cHowaito i tested it in abyss 12-1, with Thoma E3 hits 70k ish, with Zhongli its 109, 114 with milelith buff, i think a large chunk of it is from her passive, plus E is considered plunge damage so plunge multiplier from atk talent got factored in as well, idk.
I dont think she's meta though, just performs better than i expected, her bonus damage from passive only applies to single target, her plunge aoe without E3 is very small, E3 uses auto targetting & often got stuck on large opponent.
@@eurekadiaz3771 I see... I got her mostly for exploration anyways. Although, her constellations are insane but that's for whales to whale though. I did get her to C1. I can almost use 4 Skill ability's back to back (without using the plunge at the end for reduced cooldown).
Dammm cloud retainer is quick
cloud retainer more flexible to use especially when climbing the Mountain
She’s specifically better on mountains with short cliffs that her skyladders can jump. When it comes to actually scaling mountains kirara and wanderer are better
@@hypernovaofor long exploration routes, xianyun definitely the fastest, she can cover many situations and faster for climbing or going down
@@4..x when going down shes better but for long distance overall wanderer is better, their climbing is mostly the same with them excelling in different scenarios, wanderer is better for traversing long distances in the air so when it comes to going from high mountaintops hes the best and additionally his overall travel efficiency is higher considering the low cooldown hydro buffs levitation rather than bouncing and how even if hes a small margin slower in a straight line he can be in his air mode for significantly longer and can straight up skip some difficult terrain and scale absurdly high inclines without even touching the stamina bar (xianyun can do this but not to the same degree)
Xianyun is better in areas with small mountains that can be scaled in one skill, a 10% glidespeed buff and areas with lots of dramatic changes in elevation where her skyladder doesnt need to go on cd to go down. After using both wanderer for over a year and xianyun for chenyu vale i can say that wanderer is overall just more versatile with his movement options. Assuming shes c1 then shes probably almost always a better option (except in the scenarios where again you need consistent air movement/levitation).
Best option is to use them together but if u have to choose one for exploration in general wanderer clears

@@hypernovao thats not totaly true their are multiple videos showing how much slower wanderer is over longer distances even at C0, dont get me wrong hes one of the bestter ones, but xianyun is always moving forward, shes faster up mountians with c1, and shes about on par with yelan in strat movment plus she isnt afected by gaps, and her glider plus just allows her to cover long midair distances without issue. and verry quickly

You can run a bit faster if you constantly dash instead of dashing twice at a time
Thought this would include the extra charges cons.
Using XY tips = dash (until u see a windshock/airbreak about near half second) > tap E > hit dash jump (bunnyhop) timing with when XY touch ground/environment > tap E > hit dash jump (bunnyhop) timing with when XY touch ground/environment > tap E = cooldown E 2s only > bunnyhop bunnyhop > repeat
for simply explanation = Dash > E > timing Bunnyhop > E > timing Bunnyhop > E = 2s cooldown

Hmm, i'm surprised Xiao and Alhaitham weren't tested here since Yae was. This is a very useful showcase tho. it shows that there's only three characters that are actually better than tall males in terms of speed. I wonder what combination of characters is fastest though, would you want all three of Yelan-Wanderer-Xianyun, or just two? You'd want Dehya/Gaming/Rosaria/Chiori in the last slot for movement speed also.
Ultimately flawed testing. You either have to pump sprint at equal intervals with all characters or not do it at all. There were many cases where you broke sprint and were actually walking which completely invalidates any time measurement. No way is Kazuha slower than Kaeya by 3 whole seconds And Kaeya finishes with stamina in the tank, when Kazuha's literal damn passive is less sprint stamina consumption... Not to mention Kaeya cannot even retain momentum when Bhopping... but I digress.

kaeya buny hoping + rosaria 10% speed and you have a fast boy
xianyun is actually the fastest if you dodge between jumps. shes also the fastest if their are any obstacles in the way since her jumps cause her to slide over terrain.
You should dash after using Yae's skill
C1 xianyun can use skill thrice in a row so like- 3 times faster then here

c1 Yelan and c1 Cloud Retainer are on another level but if you get c6 Cloud Retainer than she is easily the fastest

Shes a tall female model with no movement passive so she’d probably be a bit lower than kazuha

3+ years later, and Kaeya's still the most consistent, fastest way to travel even with all these fancy new units that fly, phase, walk on water or whatever. They can't *dodge this*

I didn't know ayaka's sprint is faster than mona and I didn't know both of them are slower than a normal running character. They felt faster for me
I think they might be slightly faster than tall males on slopes specifically because they don't slow down, and of course they can cross water freely, but that's it.
