As a small, hobby-breeder of Ball Pythons, I’d love to hear more about how your thoughts, experience and how you generally handle viral testing (IBD, Nido, etc) and healthcare/health maintenance of your snakes in general. I ask every breeder that I buy from, or interact with as it’s a hotly debated subject. I’m still working to come up with the best protocols, especially for viral testing and bio security, for my small and very much loved collection of snakes.
I’ve been going through a lot lately and your videos help me out every time to take my mind off things ❤thanks for what you do and for teaching me how to care for ball pythons now thanks to you I have two of my own

This was a ton of fun and i totally feel the "snale I want but resist getting" and "coming home with a new snake when i said i wouldn't" I am also familiar with the feeling of not having enough space for a new snake. I'm hoping to have room to get one more after i complete my massive amount of caging upgrades i have planned, though! That'll probably take at least a year.
I got a Mojave Vanilla True Ghost (TSK) male recently. His name is Colonel Juju Calhoun and he's awesome. He pooped for the first time (since being with me) this morning. So he's officially hiding, eating, and pooping. And his first vet appointment is today. So, I think we're in the clear! 🎉

Ahhhhhhhh!!! Snakeful Grace!!!! Love them! One of my future breeding females is coming from there. And Millepedes and More - they also seriously have the best snake hooks that I’ve purchased. I don’t feel like these would ever hurt my snakes. They have (I think it is) thick acrylic for the hook part rather than thin metal. Anyway it looks like you had a fantastic time ! ❤👏

At that very same expo on Nov 11th I wore a “Don’t Chuck With Me” Chuckwalla t-shirt from Clint’s Reptiles, I wonder if that would have counted for the “Chuckwalla sighting” part of your bingo 😂 I was actively looking for a chuckwalla too, but I ran into a vender there who knows a chuckwalla breeder out of state so I’m so excited I got their info!

I walked away with a darling 4 yr old Columbian rainbow boa who was being passed around to hold named Sebastian, so happy with him and definitely going back in March when this con comes back paired with the bigger pet expo. Always a bit more at that one! Edit: I hadn’t even reached the part in the video with the spicy BRB! That’s too funny, I thought about asking to handle her but fell in love with Sebastian when he was handed over and settled into a nice friendly squeeze, and didn’t bother to go back to the spicy boa. Good choice I think, columbians are definitely the friendlier cousin in my experience.

At 5:17 there is a shot of a display of green snakes. What can you tell me about them? They look so much like my childhood snake that was wild caught. I'm not sure if it was a rough green or a smooth green snake. Do you know the vendor? If they were captive bred (hard to find)? Thank you!
I'm not sure who the vendor was. Those were rough green snakes - pretty easy to find at shows and some pet stores. They are a colubrid endemic to the Southeast US so yours could have been wild caught if that's where you were. I had one as a teenager :-)
I am not an expert or what so ever but to me it looked like an Philothamnus punctatus (or maybe another philothamnus subspecies). I am so sorry I don't know the English name, I only know the Latin and the swedish name.

He released it a year later saying "we kept it too long already". I was in middle school and it was my best friend. I held it every day and built massive terrariums for it with my grandmother. I have a female ball python 440g & a male ball python 748g. I'd be feeding weaned to your male and small to your female but different suppliers label their sizes differently. If you watch my feeding videos again you'll see how to either eyeball the size of prey or go by weight.

I would do some research on the spider gene and then you'll be able to make the decision for yourself. Some people breed them and some don't. I personally have chosen to not work with the spider gene
Hey, I have a question for yuh. I haven't been watching you for too long and have just been sent a few of your videos by my bestfriend. My female ball pythons feeding day with me for the first time was supposed to be yesterday. I attempted to feed her in a separate environment from her permanent enclosure and she just wouldn't take it. The people I purchased her from on November 9th (last day they fed her), said that she relatively took food and also if she doesn't immediately take it to agitate her a little bit but she just wouldn't take it. My bestfriends pastel ball took his food with minimal agitation so I am just souly concerned about it. I looked it up on Google and it said to try and feed her a week later if it didn't work the first go around but I know you have many snakes yourself and own a female ball, which I believe is a pastel mine is a standard Female Mojave Ball python and I am just really concerned for her health. Which is probably only because I got her a few weeks ago so I'm the concerned parent because she isn't feeding and I'm sorry if I'm dragging this question out but if you have any answers I would love and be willing to hear from you.
Don't move her to feed. Make sure you're feeding her in her own enclosure. I have videos on this that will help you but wait a week and try again. Don't handle her during that week and make sure she has plenty of hides and security in her enclosure so she feels safe enough to eat.
So she shed beautifully! And struck at me cleaning, so I took her out, and she struck again... lol but it was my fault. Her first meal was funny! I didn't have any rat pups, so she got an adult mouse. She took it right away, but I spooked her when I went to leave. I came back and she was just staring at it. So I pulled it out and warmed it a little, and she struck it right in the face and just started eating without wrapping. Lol 😆 that was 2 days ago. This morning, I took her out and she stuck for no reason. But instantly calmed down and went into investigation mode. She is definitely calming down.
A reptile show without a blackhead or a woman? I've never been to one, personally, though I really want to, but I would definitely expect to see at least one of those if I went to even a small expo.

Hey, I have a question for yuh. I haven't been watching you for too long and have just been sent a few of your videos by my bestfriend. My female ball pythons feeding day with me for the first time was supposed to be yesterday. I attempted to feed her in a separate environment from her permanent enclosure and she just wouldn't take it. The people I purchased her from on November 9th (last day they fed her), said that she relatively took food and also if she doesn't immediately take it to agitate her a little bit but she just wouldn't take it. My bestfriends pastel ball took his food with minimal agitation so I am just souly concerned about it. I looked it up on Google and it said to try and feed her a week later if it didn't work the first go around but I know you have many snakes yourself and own a female ball, which I believe is a pastel mine is a standard Female Mojave Ball python and I am just really concerned for her health. Which is probably only because I got her a few weeks ago so I'm the concerned parent because she isn't feeding and I'm sorry if I'm dragging this question out but if you have any answers I would love and be willing to hear from you.
Don't move her to feed. Make sure you're feeding her in her own enclosure. I have videos on this that will help you but wait a week and try again. Don't handle her during that week and make sure she has plenty of hides and security in her enclosure so she feels safe enough to eat.

So she shed beautifully! And struck at me cleaning, so I took her out, and she struck again... lol but it was my fault. Her first meal was funny! I didn't have any rat pups, so she got an adult mouse. She took it right away, but I spooked her when I went to leave. I came back and she was just staring at it. So I pulled it out and warmed it a little, and she struck it right in the face and just started eating without wrapping. Lol 😆 that was 2 days ago. This morning, I took her out and she stuck for no reason. But instantly calmed down and went into investigation mode. She is definitely calming down.

They can but it depends. The size is quite variable with both species
A reptile show without a blackhead or a woman? I've never been to one, personally, though I really want to, but I would definitely expect to see at least one of those if I went to even a small expo.
Womas are more common than black headed pythons but even womas aren't always at the smaller shows
