Honestly the only reason why I want to become a VTuber is so I have something to look forward for and embrace it wether if I get views or not, wether I get paid or not I just want something to say "This is me and this is how I'm"
thank you for mentioning the vtuber tab on twitch, i wanted to see some other peoples models but i couldn't figure out an easy way to see them in motion live without scrolling through pages of streamers in various catagorys

Hey thanks for this. I really appreciate anyone willing to invite others in to their craft, as the more I get involved in the world the more I realize there's too many people gatekeeping the secrets to business. Earned a sub and I hope to see you on the other side.
This will help me, thanks. Even tho I plan on making my own model instead of spending hours to hunt and buy one, with the bonus of a coder friend and my art style, this vid has helped me to figure out what to start with. And by my name and pic you can guess what it's baised on. And I don't plan to compete I'm viewers as I plan something for when I have a good amount of viewers. And I wish all Vtubers a great run.
Thank you for the video!!! This definitely helped me get started! I ended up starting off using Vroids and slowly, SLOOOOOOOOOOWLY building my subs and audience. The Video definitely helped!
Ayo this is very helpful information, thank you very much! I'm currently in the works for getting a vtube avatar, having one custom made already as we speak. I also don't plan to JUST vtube as i am also a cosplayer, been cosplaying for 7and a half yrs, so i already have quite a bit of an audience for myself. One thing i've rlly gotta learn is editing- as i suck at it lol but thanks for the informative video! these are good tips! Although i kinda skipped the first part already- lol
Editing is tough but useful, I edit all of my own videos. I started youtube 10 years ago though with other channels and also did some film school which made learning editing easier but nowadays there are quite a few good teachers on the platform. I suggest watching Finzar as he also has good editing resources to help speed up the process.
@Markillus love the info, ive been self-learning how to edit for a few months and it seems the hardest part is to actually sit down and edit (for me) can't believe how quality your videos are
Okay I have a plan , I’m going to get really good at drawing so that i can make my own VTuber model , also I don’t want to start now bc I’m definitely not confident enough so learning how to draw better in the meantime could be better .
My main problem is what kind of videos should I make and how to make them properly. I mean, I only know gaming and that's it. Setting up OBS, and a lot of other things aren't even an issue to me. But things like what to speak in the commentary. My another issue is I am very cool and neutral type of person. I can't express exaggerated expressions and reactions like how anyone else does. Imagine I am playing Granny and suddenly Granny grabs me. I don't feel anything by it but other youtubers and vtubers shout so hard or do such exaggerating reactions that people will see them instead of me😢😢
Me deciding to do it the hard way and draw and rig a model for myself, the best part is i'm almost done spent almost a months working on it and may not use it much
Also little tip for having a model for free: ✨️do it yourself✨️ Yes it takes a lot of time, and rigging might seem terrifying, but i manage to finish my model in 2 weeks (one for the art, one for the rig)
Being just a newbie vtuber, yea it's very very hard to start Especially for the fact that I'm planning on doing something different (no streaming, we doin vids like we used to back in 2015) That's basically the part I'm struggling with, it's hard to be noticed since when people think of vtubers they automatically think of streaming, in which I'm completely overshadowed with XD
i'm getting a 2D model with rigging commissioned but i use Linux and what challenges i'll face, proton will be fine as i have Vtubestuido on steam. now as for web cam i'm gonna be running a 720P will that be good enough or will i need to get a higher quality cam?
im here to make my brother's dream come true, he i'd like to be a yt, well, he was when he was younger anyways, but its not the same, well, thanks for everything markillus
Glad it was helpful, but I live in the US and have purchased models from those sites. The sites are in Japanese and show Yen as the currency but on the purchase page when you purchase things, it gets automatically converted. With my bank, upon purchase I think there was a small conversion fee, but it would be the same as if you hired a Japanese artist and paid them, which I did for my current model.
as a 13year old, i think i gut lucky. i won free rigging and i get soo many uptates she alsow is helping me get started. i drew the moddel mysealf she alsow offerd to make the moddel but i just told her i alredy have one so it woud be easyer. but this helped very much.
Looking on twitter. I dont think those girls give 2 shits LMAO they just use the unwanted attention for more engagement "Omg chat, you wouldnt believe what happened to me" xD@@markillus
Even if I've been streaming for over 3 months now, i still am trying to get my main model, and of course, i have the ability to do get my mascot rn ive taken weeks to months to design my mascot but for my main character i still dont have much thoughr into for him sadly yet ill be improving his design in the future, ive been trying to get a model for about 4 to 5 months now of course yes i know i didnt need to do that but i did the hard way even tho i did a mistake by putting some energy into my logo and such, was such a dum thing i let happen now i learned my lesson. Lmao
Hello! Thank you for this video. I have been interested in a LONG time about VTubing. I have ideas (more then just video games and drawing, though I love, love, love video games) I wanted to make more Manga analysis or something like that. First I need a new job lol then when im free ill do other thing's.
Yeah funding content is always a big part, you want to be able to continue to create content but also be able to live. I've tried to do this unemployed and it is a STRUGGLE. So good on you for being smart about it
I've been using my hotspot/data for internet access and all I have is a MacBook... why did I just spend hours on Vroid making a model. Thank you for bringing me back to the reality of my shitty situation, genuinely, it's 4am. God damned ADD... 🤣😒🤭
We’re not going to be competitors, my friend. At least, not entirely. But If someone else wants advice on how to be a VTuber, (Should they ever ask me in the future) this video will be recommended.
I run a D&D actual play with 8 players plus myself....we currently connect over zoom and record for youtube. I was thinking about switching us to V-tube versions of our characters (or myself as I am the DM). Obviously I would have to do what you suggested in this video, but how would I go about recording everyone's vtuber if we did this? (and no, I won't be really competing with you as I don't think you do D&D actual plays lol)
vtube studio has a function where it creates a virtual webcam that you can use in various programs like zoom or discord. so if you were to set up everyone with a model and the software you could use that and it would show up with their model on zoom
there's no such thing as a competitor imo, every audience is different, so you aren't really "competing" for the same people. Either way, I've got a pngtuber alt until I can figure out the rigging :>
Question: if I wanted to only do vtubing not via streaming, but only via youtube videos, would I still need a strong graphics card right from the beginning? Or could I do some preliminary videos to test the waters with a Thinkpad? (of course taking upon myself the increased amount of time needed to render the videos etc)
The graphics card is mainly for ensuring that the model animations run well. You wouldn't want to have your model struggling at 5 FPS while you're just on your internet browser of choice or something. You're going to need decent ram, and CPU as well if you're planning on playing games at the same time. Just for fun videos, it shouldn't be too bad. Test it and upgrade if need be.
@@TheInstinctWithinV2 Thanks! I started looking for more decent hardware after trying out metahuman on my thinkpad - it works, but it's rather chunky. With a bit of patience I figured I'll get a decent setup for $500 - and if things don't progress as I'm hoping, I can probably sell the gear without too much loss later.
Yeah they bring up a good point with multitasking while vtubing, it's essentially like running a game, so if you wanted to also play games or watch videos at the same time it can get hardware intensive. If you were recording just a sit down video like some of the ones I have done then it might not be as bad but you'd be limited. And selling the gear if things don't pan out is always a good plan, I actually have the same thing written out from when I started

the hardest thing for me right now is finding a name for myself XD
Honestly the only reason why I want to become a VTuber is so I have something to look forward for and embrace it wether if I get views or not, wether I get paid or not I just want something to say "This is me and this is how I'm"
thank you for mentioning the vtuber tab on twitch, i wanted to see some other peoples models but i couldn't figure out an easy way to see them in motion live without scrolling through pages of streamers in various catagorys
literally the only v tuber i like
also you explained that so well
"Nipa~! 🌸 Sometimes, life can be like Hinamizawa-quiet and peaceful, but also full of unexpected twists and turns. When things get tough, remember that it's okay to rely on your friends and never lose hope. Even in the darkest moments, there's always a way to break the cycle and find happiness. So, keep pushing forward, and don't forget to cherish the happy memories along the way. You have the strength to change your fate, just like I do! ☆ミ"
this is not very evil of you
@@markillus Do you want evil?! GAWR! I'm coming for you!🦈
Hey thanks for this. I really appreciate anyone willing to invite others in to their craft, as the more I get involved in the world the more I realize there's too many people gatekeeping the secrets to business.
Earned a sub and I hope to see you on the other side.
Thank you very much i may not know you, but i genuinely appreciate the info.
@Markillus love the info, ive been self-learning how to edit for a few months and it seems the hardest part is to actually sit down and edit (for me) can't believe how quality your videos are
Thanks for the help
Thank you Femboy. Ive been putting this off for a while but i think youve given me the courage to get started after all this time.
this was actually so helpful, thanks a lot
This is avtually surprisingly informational. I will be twitch streaming as a vtuber, and keeping my youtube stuff separate.
Awesome advice !
I wanna be vtuber with my cousin and her sis! I hope we reach to that!
best of luck to you!
Okay I have a plan , I’m going to get really good at drawing so that i can make my own VTuber model , also I don’t want to start now bc I’m definitely not confident enough so learning how to draw better in the meantime could be better .
i just finished drawing my first v-tuber model and im so scared that i did something wrong, i dont want to start rigging it.😭
W png. Informative and fun video, bless up.
I don't feel anything by it but other youtubers and vtubers shout so hard or do such exaggerating reactions that people will see them instead of me😢😢
Vtubing was never what I had in mind but my OC artist offered to make it so here I am
This is a very helpful guidance. Many thanks.
Good info! Thank you for sharing!
OMG THIS HELPED SO SO MUCH I REALLY APPRECIATED IT THANKS(this is gonna be thee only person im nice to)
thank you
Me deciding to do it the hard way and draw and rig a model for myself, the best part is i'm almost done spent almost a months working on it and may not use it much
"rigger" has been a inside joke between me an my friend group since the dawn of man so hearing it here made me bust out in tears
Also little tip for having a model for free: ✨️do it yourself✨️
Yes it takes a lot of time, and rigging might seem terrifying, but i manage to finish my model in 2 weeks (one for the art, one for the rig)
the half body part snapping off made me laugh lol
Being just a newbie vtuber, yea it's very very hard to start
Especially for the fact that I'm planning on doing something different (no streaming, we doin vids like we used to back in 2015)
That's basically the part I'm struggling with, it's hard to be noticed since when people think of vtubers they automatically think of streaming, in which I'm completely overshadowed with XD
ok the (1) maid joke made me chuckle a bit
My humor is broken I lost it at "get one maid" asfygsiafbvasghk
Nobody talking abt the painting in the back? 0:26
0:56 Uhh the photo on the wall💀
i'm getting a 2D model with rigging commissioned but i use Linux and what challenges i'll face, proton will be fine as i have Vtubestuido on steam. now as for web cam i'm gonna be running a 720P will that be good enough or will i need to get a higher quality cam?
Thank you so much I started getting into Vtubers lately and I'm happy I found you!
0:24 WHAT THE FLIP IS SOMEONE DOING TO THE POSTER!!!!
what poster
@@markillus erm the gurl behind you?
Hi ! Where did u get your background and overlay ( with the keyboard setup ) please ?
My stream is often me just saying random stuff then cursing when I die a stupid death that was preventable
"Getting 1 Maid" joke hooked you a sub lol
AHH UR SO UNDERRATED!
thank you!
OMG!! Your Avatar is so Cute!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
im here to make my brother's dream come true, he i'd like to be a yt, well, he was when he was younger anyways, but its not the same, well, thanks for everything markillus
this helped a lot thanks (=
Ive always wanted to become a VTumber and im on my way home so ill do this at home!!
Vtuber** lil bro get a life 😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀
Yes
I just started vtubing. I think im addicted
I found this video very helpful but the site to purchase a model from talked about is only available for those that residence in Japan.
Make your own
as a 13year old, i think i gut lucky. i won free rigging and i get soo many uptates she alsow is helping me get started. i drew the moddel mysealf she alsow offerd to make the moddel but i just told her i alredy have one so it woud be easyer. but this helped very much.
Great guiding! put the poster in the back...
Not tryna be a vtuber but it's much cheaper than making a interactive mask hope this stuff works for my streaming
“Uh oh raggy a rigger” 😂😂😂😂
The whole time I was just looking at the scary picture in the back.
why are the youtuber/vtoburs are so helpful
what do i do if i draw my own model through ibispaintx but dont have a free rigging program/software
also i refuse to get apple pls help
I'm subing rn
2:05 XDDD damn that was lowkey funny
I think a few people watching this would like to know what it's like to be a vtuber on mobile
How to grow: Be Kink Bait
it brings a lot of unwelcome attention though
Looking on twitter. I dont think those girls give 2 shits LMAO they just use the unwanted attention for more engagement "Omg chat, you wouldnt believe what happened to me" xD@@markillus
Rin benrose
Every popular vtuber ive seen (other than neuro) have had holes in their shirts soooo
@quiqugachq2 lol i already know I'm right.
Would you like to try UDCAP Gloves which can help capture your finger motions used for Vtubing and VR games like streamVR?
no thanks, I've stopped vtubing for the time being! not sure when I'll return to it but maybe sometime in the future
Lmao
i have that same exact shirt on Roblox but instead of a cat on the shirt, its a heart....
SOLDIER! STOP WATCHING THIS, THERES A RED SPY IN THE BASE
*pyro noises of discontent*
To get started need a laptop 😂😂😂 and I don’t have yet
Kemmer Walks
tbh I was focused on that Astolfo poster for the first minute of this video...
Im starting a one with a cat talking about creepy stroy thank fpr your video
oh your starting as a vtuber to in 2024 cool
So good on you for being smart about it
5:21
Don't worry, first I have to compete with my insecurities- and they're winning
Thx Bro
I've been using my hotspot/data for internet access and all I have is a MacBook... why did I just spend hours on Vroid making a model. Thank you for bringing me back to the reality of my shitty situation, genuinely, it's 4am. God damned ADD... 🤣😒🤭
i went of booth and did the price to 0 and found this vtuber and im going to test it
We’re not going to be competitors, my friend. At least, not entirely. But If someone else wants advice on how to be a VTuber, (Should they ever ask me in the future) this video will be recommended.
Hello, I'm studying English and I can't understand everything, but is there a way to record my movements on my cell phone? What are the apps for this?
VTube Studio is on the phone
omg nice advice bro bro
@@markillus thank you so much!
what if your not good at any thing and you just want to have fun?
You're adorables. I use animaze right now but will try the other program
"i don't need any more competitiors" It's alright fam, I'll give you a shoutout in my videos when im done with the whole setup
there's no such thing as a competitor imo, every audience is different, so you aren't really "competing" for the same people. Either way, I've got a pngtuber alt until I can figure out the rigging :>
What happened after the legs part
So we not gonna talk about the photos on the damn wall?
Question, if I have an android is that gonna make doing all of this harder or impossible? I don't have a modern Iphone or an Iphone in general.
My VTube Studio
Isn't working properly, that's the only issue I have 😭😭😭
If live 2d was in phone i was a new user.
Do nizma models still work in English when they say Japanese only?
they work, it might require learning how to read some japanese though, depending on the modeler
And selling the gear if things don't pan out is always a good plan, I actually have the same thing written out from when I started
never knew a character was that expensive damn
