    my dogs are like that with everyone that we meet on our walks, they think everyone is just there to pet them and they jump on people all the time.

      takes time to teach calmness. Most important: they should not get attention (being patted) when they jump

    Just came across your videos. I’m going to try your techniques. I’ve been having a difficult time walking with my dog. He pulls all through the walk.

    What kind of collar is needed to make corrections? Is a flat collar adequate?

    • @mcsdog
      @mcsdog  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Beth, any type of collar works. The correction is a short sideways tug on the leash.

    If you could help me where can I get your type of Collar chain used for training this Labrador

    • @mcsdog
      @mcsdog  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they are sold online as a training collar - measure the dog's neck and add 2inch for the right fit amzn.to/3qxVvgM

    The moment the trainer takes over the dog she is already no longer pulling and lunging. The video does not at all explain how you get there.

      that is because dogs read body language and respond to calm energy. The owners are usually tense and the trainer relaxed. The dog senses that.

    YANKING aggressively is NOT needed. It’s just how emotionally weak you are. Start building a bond with your dog. This definitely does the opposite. It causes fear not the willingness to be next to you at all times.
