@@CelebratingAppalachia Happy 28th anniversary Tipper and Matt. May you be blessed with many more to come. My mama and daddy were married 67 years before she passed away in 2018 at the age of 88. He's just recently ago in June celebrated his 90th birthday.
Matt's git up and go done got up and went! Most girls are Daddies' girls, I'm soon gonna be 66 years old and Dad's 91, and I'm STILL a Daddies' girl! Happy anniversary to you both! I was married to my hubby for 38 years before he went to Heaven last year and it was a wonderful life we had together. May y'all have many more happy years together! ❤💕

Happy Anniversary! You two are so blessed. You will probably be mowing and weedeating at 80. I am 72, still mow and weedeat my big yard, still climb the ladder to get on my roof and get the limbs and leaves off, and still raise another of my grandchildren (he is 12 now). So, keep moving and keep loving each other. I lost my husband 32 years ago, be thankful every day!!

Hi Tipper, Happy Anniversary to you and Matt. Pray you have many more to come full of great blessings. I would rather it be cool than hot. The heat makes you miserable. My mama always said " you can put on more than you can take off" and she was so right about that. There is nothing wrong with being a Daddy's girl. I was a Daddy's girl and I say it proudly. You were adorable talking about the blooms and tiny tomatoes in you plants. The excitement in your voice. It was like a child talking about Christmas Morning. I grew up with a big garden and you are right, there is a lot of work that has to be done, but it is worth every minute . Of course I helped my parents do everything from getting the ground ready to bringing in the food and of course eating that wonderful food. Thank you for bringing back those precious memories. A very Happy and Healthy Anniversary to the both of you and pray for many, many more to come. 28 years...goodness, that's practically newlyweds to me. I had almost 52 years with my husband. I loved listening to y'all's stories. I didn't have twins but I had two C-sections and didn't know what I was doing during those first days with my first one. I'm glad Matt's in more videos lately and love listening to his way of thinking. He's a smart, practical, good, down to earth man...it's no wonder you married him.
I just like having you guys talking even if i'm not directly paying attention just cause you talk normal and it feels like i'm back home (edit: I forgot to even mention the bug/nature sounds.. love to hear that too.. sounds like where I should be). . I can't wait to get back to my mountains

It's such fun to "be part" of listening to you both talk and reminisce. It feels like home to me. My dad was a mechanic and could fix anything. My mom was a great cook and seamstress. Together they could make or fix nearly anything.

I agree w/Matt... I do not like hot weather @ all!!! I worked in it too many years. I do love a garden & all the fresh food but even canning was miserable cause of heat. Never had no AC or good air flow, back when I was canning. So now days I have no patience for hot weather...lol

Y’all telling the stories about not knowing how to put the babies in car seats was hilarious! I can relate bc I was young too. I went to my mothers.
My husband came too of course. But after two weeks he went home and said you can come home when you’re ready!!! It was hard bc she was so much help. It truly taught me a lot.
Have you ever heard of the TH-cam videos Gardening with Leon? He’s from Oklahoma. He’s 81 and knows more about gardening than anyone I’ve ever known. Raised beds, bucket and other alternatives to raised bed gardening. Take a look at his videos. You won’t be sorry. A fine man
My husband had a 70 something model Chevy 2wd. I learned how to drive in that truck. It was a three speed on the column. I couldn’t drive it with him with me. He yelled at me too much. Happy Anniversary! Wishing you many more happy years! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. God bless

Tipper, I want to wish you and Matt a happy anniversary! I was lucky enough to have 52 years with my husband. Paul died in 2020. I can't think of anything better than 52 years with someone you love as much as we loved each other. May God bless and keep you both.

I have always said the best car is one that’s paid for! My husband is a car buff and that’s been hard for him but slowly/surely I’ve gotten him more or less in line with me! It’s only taken 22 years! Love your videos - especially the popsicle breaks! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 💕
22 years is exactly how long we have had our f150. We just bought a new, omg it cost almost as much as our house! But we are still using the old one as well.

Enjoyed this! I use to have trucks back in the 80s, had old square body Chevrolet and GMC trucks. I loved my early to mid 80s trucks . Wish I had still had them . Great trucks . Like you tipper , I love all seasons , but also like matt I like summer the least . I guess because summer is so long here in the southern Appalachians, I just get tired of the heat a few weeks in. My daughter is a daddy's girl , always been hard for me to tell her no . I agree about when you live close to the land ,you notice everything, the little changes every day. Happy anniversary you 2 ! lots of great ideas. I also save the little silicone packs that come in things like a new pair of shoes for instance to put in anything that needs to be moisture free.

Great video as always! Love the talk of courting and old vehicles and such! Brings back great memories for me, too! Can't relate to Daddy's girl talk though as had no real relationship with my father as he and Mom divorced when I was a baby! Only sporadic visits growing up. He never ever bought me a birthday or Christmas present! No dolls or bikes! 😪😥😥So you that had this were truly Blessed! Grandparents took up the slack, praise God! Great video. I moved our whole family to Richmond from New York about 9 years ago... and I just LOVE the southern climate and the long and beautifully sunny growing seasons. Gardening started off for me as just one of several hobbies (the others being music and also becoming an amateur machinist). But I believe we saved about 40-60 dollars this season just by harvesting the green sweet peppers from 2 lil' ol pepper plants we got at Lowes at the beginning of spring... which are now actually big pepper trees (almost as tall as me). They are massive and prolific. With the price of food and the price of new (and not so sturdy) cars today, I'm grateful that my parents taught me how to enjoy getting sweaty, dirty and tired and how to fix things that are broken and make things last and last and last. And speaking of lasting and lasting: A happy and blessed anniversary to you both. My wife and I just renewed our wedding vows after being married for 33 years. Happy Anniversary! I am glad I live where there are four seasons. I am with Matt, summer is my least favorite season. You can dress for cold but you can't for hot weather.
