If you didn't thinkk about it , the air pressure in your sealed bladder water tank also needs to be increased to match your pump pressure settings. It should be 2 ilbs less than your pump cut in pressure. 40 lb cut in 38 lbs of air pressure. Always remember, plumbers are plumbers , not well technicians. :)
Hey I love Dolly! That was my nickname given by my husband. RIP ❤️ he was funny like you Andy, but he cussed a lot more. Thank you for not cussing! Even though with every break down I anticipate his kind of yelling! lol. It makes me laugh.
So, for pump testing you can use hose clamps to temporarily attach short pieces of hose to the pump intake and output joints and then drop the end of the pipes into a 5 gal bucket of water. Spent plenty of time helping an older relative repair and test pumps. That way you dont run the pump dry.
The rear cover of that pump motor SHOULD come off with some careful tapping. The rear shaft bearing is a press fit in that cover. I probably wouldn’t try to get the pump apart, it wasn’t designed to be worked on. Concentrate on the rear cover, when you get it off you can tap the pump, rotor and all out the front.
Glad you got it back up and running. Fighting with well pumps is almost never fun in my experience. Last one I did was in a similar pit half full of water for a day or three. Fun times 😂 I might still have ptsd from that crawlspace and pit
The pump motor is magnetically held by stator and windings so you will need to pull it apart. It can be quite tough to do with a clean pump but will be even harder if there is dirt in there binding it up. Wash it out with water, but once you have it separated dry it thoroughly or the iron core will rust and also electricity likes to jump through water. Once it's all clean and dry reassemble and you should be good to go.
Differential pressue vs Range pressure. I'm surprised you let it Stump you for a little bit 😅 and that you didn't just adjust one at a time testing after each adjustment. Glad ya knocked it out though and that you found the buried treasure of a pipe wrench. 😅
Dang brother, I hate when things go to crap for y'all... but it does make for awesome and educational content! Great video, as always! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve literally been there more than once trying to remember what spring is what on my well whilst feeling like a jackass knowing I have done it like 4 or more times. I’d be willing to bet it is more than a few people. Ha ha
Don't forget you have to adjust the pressure in your expansion tank to coincide with your cut-in pressure. With no pressure in the system, the tank should be set to 2 psi below your pump cut-in pressure.
Im guilty of looking over simple stuff myself but on all my pressure switches the instructions for the adjustment screws is on a sticker on the inside of that cap you removed
my morning chore is to prime the well pump... every single day... one of these days i should set it up where i don't have to do that... maybe tomorrow.
Some of the time the directions for spring adjustment are molded into the cover of the pressure switch. (sometimes) And a little dirt in the switches springs and or diaphragm can affect the cut in / out.
Should just flush it out with pressure water, then spray it with WD40 let it dry, and start up! I've have AC motors out in the weather for years after drying out worked fine!
I am left with some questions Andy. What if I were to spit on my nipples would it be easier to twist them? What if I had my wife use her smaller hands to reach in and twist my nipples, would that work better? What if I only use nipples and no shafts? I appreciate your teaching us, I just feel there is more to learn.
A friend of mine lost power from a storm. I took my generator over and hooked it up. He asked me when I came to pick it up 4 days later , what do I owe you. He wanted a number and wouldn't let me leave until he gave me money. I said, "Since you are on a well, what was it worth to you to be able to go poop?"
Praise the Lord for being Andy being able to figure this out! All glory to Almighty God in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.
"pull some crap apart down here and start shoveling..." Or 'How To Succeed at Life'. Keep on Brother!

Sorry about the well. Glad you got 'er runnin. Hopefully, you got it done for a while and not have to go back in the hole.
God bless. 😊❤

Solid effort Andy 👌 Nice job gettingthings operational. Nice Dolly tee-shirt too 👍 stay well team 👍🏻
I love your perseverance

Seems to be packed full of abrasion additive.
Could get a bucket of water and dunk it a few times also...
I’m equally psyched about your Dolly Parton shirt bro 😎
Love your Dolly shirt!!! And the fact that you have water! Take care.
Awesome Dolly T-Shirt !
Not likely....probably 😂. I love your way of thinking. No challenge is too big for you. Keep fixin stuff and I'll keep watchin!!👀
Good work mate!

Keep on, keeping on Andy. You are great. Thanks.
Thank you for another video andy!!
Hey look Andy has two pipe wrenches now. He found his 2nd one. Glad you remembered where it was. I rarely remember what I did day to day. 😂
Thanks for a fun video while I ate dinner, then started to ask myself if I need to go tweak my pressure settings 😂
Same thing here 🤣🤣 who doesn't want more water pressure lol
Great video as always!
God bless you, Andy. I know it sucked but you made an entertaining and educational video which made my day better and we both learned some new stuff.
Oh man, what a job. Get it done. Keep cuttin'!

On the bright side. You found your wrench
Love the video. Love you all. God bless.
Hang on. I feel like I have Deja vu LoL
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one lol

Love y'all!!!
Great video
Awesome video!❤
My favorite new line…
“I’ve never taken one of these apart before, but that’s no reason to not take it apart”
Subscribed to the link you sent brother.
"Down in a Hole" by Alice in Chains would of been some good background music! 😂
Cheers!
We love ya brother ❤
Andy's channeling Kamala, "my camera battery is going to die". chuckle
Nice job man, keep on stepping!

Nice job. Like the shirt too!
I'm happy that new pump and nipple setup is working "well" for you! Keep on keeping up and god bless!
P.S your sub count is getting impressive 👏
Have faith Andy! Always remember the story of Job from the Bible!

My fav TH-camr/Facebooker
Those pressure regulators are frustrating! 😂
Nice Andy
nice job.
Hey Andy how is Carlos and the kids doing? You have not had them on in a while. Love to all and God bless.
Thankyou 😊
Thank God it wouldn't have been the same without dolly

"I make a lot of decisions based on my nipples" 🤣
I tend to make decisions based on my short pipe
I’m sure it has been said but the pressure switch cove usually has the spring configuration under the lid!!!
I’d say most of us wish we were working with longer pipe.
Some of the time the directions for spring adjustment are molded into the cover of the pressure switch. (sometimes) And a little dirt in the switches springs and or diaphragm can affect the cut in / out.
🙏❤️🙏
I swear I just saw this video like two weeks ago lol
Thank you I was like no ones mentioned it, my Déjà vu bell was ringing.. he did say somthing about copyright on the music so maybe why re upped.
Might want to seal that up a little tighter before it happens again
Should just flush it out with pressure water, then spray it with WD40 let it dry, and start up! I've have AC motors out in the weather for years after drying out worked fine!
Andy, why don't pirates take baths before walkin' the plank? Because they're gonna washup on shore! Haaaa 😜
❤❤❤❤
Déjà vu, this is a rerun right? Or do i have issues..
Pipe wrenches have these funny loops on the none business end.. hang the darn wrench from the none business end on a hook, nail or screw
The well doesn’t like you😂🎉
Ohno andy😢😢
Like your new shirt!!😮

❤
Did ya find the other pipe wrench?
"Wells" are a deep subject. Lol
Great shirt choice after teaching us about nipples.
You need to adjust the tank pressure also
What are you doing commenting on here, son? I thought you were at work.
@johnnunn8688 wrong person
Is this a 2nd time ?
Same video as before
Glad I'm not the only one thinking it felt familiar.
Is this the video you needed the background music removed from? Did you have to delete the old one and this is a repost?
This is a repeat right? Or am I wrong?

Enough to leave the pump there and get another.
I would think you wouldn't leave that wrench in the hole again after needing it the last time this happened.
I thought maybe this was a re-upload because he found that wrench he really left in one of his trucks...
Reruns??
Did you not just do this. Is this a re-upload? Andy what going on.
Wondering the same thing...
First time seeing it for me.
I'm glad you got your nipples sorted. 😂
Ain’t life grand
That's TURN ON TURN OFF!
Gatoraaaaiiidddddeee
😮
Ohh, knock on wood I've gone 1 year of not having to mess with my pump.
Destroyed or destoryed.. mmm
Might want to check your title. "Our Well Pit Got Destoryed..." Destroyed?
OH BABE
There’s a joke in that shirt somewhere…peaks and valleys and the meaning of life…ain’t she a Dolly! 🤣🍉🍉
God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸✌🏼😎 MAGA
Hahah .. I am and will be ,,,, a confused minor plumber.. 😂 never a pro plumber
I feel like you should have put a nipple counter in the video. I was trying to keep up but laughing to much.
An episode about nipples and you have a new Dolly shirt, but you couldn’t think of a joke?
Well, crap
“Well pit” was my name in prison
I kinda want to know the story
Appropriate scripture!
Music video 👎👎👎👎💩💩💩😬
