Wow! Your shop has grown big time since you first opened it. Congrats on the success and all of the hard work that lead to it..... I bought a black XX1 chain from you a couple of weeks ago and you shipped it same day. Thanks!
"I'm doing my job!" I can hear the of exhaustion from his voice. I know He didn't meant it and Mike is totally %100 ok and sincere in saying that "it's okay." and it was awesome that Mike took this opportunity to acknowledge Collin for his hard work. Kudos! I work in the retail industry (electronics) and I manage almost 20 employee under my department. Between me and my co-managers, we are all exhausted because of this pandemic plus customers who's not understanding that inventory is out of our hands. A lot of stocks are depleted with no ETA even given to us. I wanna say to everyone who's working and experiencing all this difficulties right now, Hang in there! We are lucky that as long as we have our bikes and we have good health, we can go out and have fun and forget all of our problems, even for a few hours.
Heck yeah! Colin work's hit tail off making sure all orders placed before 2:30 PST get shipped out same day. Plus, the heat hasn't helped. It was probably 90 degrees in the shop while we were filming this 😫
When you also work in the web sales/warehousing sector and see someone else’s warehouse 🤪 idk I just find it interesting to see how other people set up their stores. If I had 1 suggestion I’d get a label maker and print the brands logo + what the items is on them. I personally find it easier and faster to find products that way over someone’s scruffy handwriting, just a suggestion. Keep killin it either way, you guys rock!
It is definitely super interesting seeing how different warehouses function! Our small parts section (not shown) is heavily labeled, but the larger items fluctuate so often that there's not much use in putting labels on things. We might have 1 type of hip pack in stock for 2 weeks, then they sell out and we can't get them for another 6 months so we then use that spot for something different that is available. Our storage is more so just a few rows of shelves, and not quite warehouse status yet, and the guys who pick & ship orders know where everything is. As you know, though, storing inventory is always a work in progress 🙂
I remember when I first started watching you, your shop/business has really progressed. That storeroom looks bigger than your entire old shop. 👍👍 I enjoy watching your vlogs and I don’t even own a MTB. Got one Ti road, one Ti bikepacking and a fixed gear. 😁😁
Thanks for making this video. I went straight to your website to double check availability on the grip 2 damper. Which said it was sold out a couple of weeks past. It was back in stock and I ordered it! Thanks again!👍👍👍
Oh sweet, glad we had that for you! Thanks a ton for your order with us! For anything that isn't in stock, you can sign up for a stock notification email so you know as soon as we have more 😀
As soon as I saw the wall of forks I thought you looked pretty well stocked and your shops local customers out number your local population you must know this by their accents. Seriously nice to see stocks are out there giving the global mtb community something to cheer about.
Yea! I ordered something from you all last Thursday, and you had it shipped out the same day.. Just wanted to say thank you. I'm just glad it was in stock.
I'm interested in your maxxis tire comparison. I actually like all of those tires. Definitely going to put shorty back on for wintertime, assegai clogs up much quicker comparatively.
Mike, can we see a bike check?? Seeing all these parts makes me wonder what’s on your bike! Sweet video! Glad to see the effort you guys put in to make our riding possible! -Ethan
I just moved to Issaquah today and I ordered a gx axs from you guys two days ago. I came to my new home to find a shipment from your shop! I can’t wait to try out the new gx axs!!
Coming from a small shop I know how hard it is getting parts. You’re looking pretty well stocked…surprisingly. Just had to pay retail for bike parts cause I can’t order any from suppliers.
I went to 10 bike shops in Tennessee and NC last week looking for a Shimano 12 speed chain. No one had them. Then I went to The Hub in Pisgah and they had a whole wall full of them. I'm pretty sure they have every 12 speed chain in stock in the country. lol
Yep know that. I live in Aust. It has taken about a year to get all the parts for my new Santa Cruz XL V10 CC 29er. And lucky I ordered frame when I did or I would probably not have got one. And the price inflation as well would not have helped.
I work at a local bike shop and received 2 of the 5 GX AXS kits we ordered. Now I see where the rest went LOL. I love seeing other shops, I live in a small town with a small MTB community with no elevation, so I never get to stock 36/38/Zeb, anything really interesting because it doesn't sell here.
Makes sense! I'm from Illinois and we never, ever stocked suspension products as there was no demand for suspension upgrades. Also, most people just bought complete bikes there and never did custom builds.
@@TheLostCo 100%. People here buy bikes from their LBS (we have 4 in town for 160,000 people) and then just ride it. I rarely have anyone ask about upgrades to drivetrain or suspension, let alone a full build. We will never stock framesets because nobody will buy it.
Oh so thats where all the Maxxis went! :D Our whole country and I mean WHOLE COUNTRY got its preorders for 2021 for the whole year completely cancelled. Zero Maxxis for us, nada..
Why do bike shops sell rear socks? I upgraded to a Dpx2 on my bike and it was garbage until I had it tuned specifically for my frame. Can your store tune these shocks specific to a frame?
Unfortunately, we can't help you with Shimano rotors either. Though, we highly recommend the Magura MDR-P rotors... which we only have 220mm in stock...
Do you think supply issues may get back to normal in 2022? I need a 130mm Pike or Fox34 and have just given up finding one this year. One more year with my old 2015 Sektor.
Hey Thomas, we sure hope so! Most companies are saying they think Q3 or Q4 will be a little more "normal". However, right now we do have a pretty good selection of Pikes and the Fox 34. We have some Pikes in stock in 130mm, but have tons of them in 140mm. We also have the air shafts in stock as well so you could order a 140mm Pike but simply switch it to 130mm by getting a different air shaft 😀👍 thelostco.com
Shoot, that's tough! Well, we do ship globally so if you need some tires right now, place an order and we'll get them shipped out! Depending on where you live, there may be import duties but I'm sure you're familiar with that already.
I built up a gravel bike from a frame I got in Nov. '19 and completed it in May of '20 (I call it my "Covid Cruiser"). I didn't have any problem finding bike parts at all and was shocked when a cycling friend told me there was a bike/parts shortage. Are you kidding me? Or did this all happen this year?
Is it true that because Fox is not a direct to consumer brand and people cannot buy from Fox directly, a Fox distributor/dealer in the US for example, cannot send out Fox suspension products outside of the country of business? I live in Malaysia and there is a Fox dealer here but during these trying times of the pandemic, parts are very hard to come by. The dealer here most of the time do not have stock of certain parts. They could order them from Fox but it will depend on the demand of the part here in Malaysia. If only 1 person needs it, it won't be worth their effort to order it from Fox. Even if they do, it will take ages to arrive
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
