long long ago in China I'm told that Marcy Playground would become the most underrated band of all time. they should be more famous there the third best grunge rock band.
Sadly, that's usually true of a lot of performances. There are always people in every audience that just aren't connected with the artist- talking to someone or just on their phone, or filming the performance- just not in the moment. It used to drive me nuts back in the day when I was seeing a lot of live acts. Weezer once did three or four songs on acoustic when they were touring in support of Pinkerton, and these three women in front of me talked loudly to each other during the whole set, it was infuriating. I was trying to make a bootleg recording of the show and all you could hear was them going on and on about blah blah blah....
I played this one time for my girlfriend but I prefaced it by saying that it is a Marcy Playground song and she said (and you might have guessed it) "Oh! Sex and Candy!" And then I started playing Poppies and of course she was disappointed LOL In my opinion this was their best song!
The drummer is too uptempo in the chorus and it's annoying the singer/songwriter. God, I love music and it's endless conundrums. This is such a dope song, if you'll allow the pun!
One of the best albums people never talk about anymore!
It's one I kind of forgot about and I don't know why but I've been listening to it damn near solid for the last 2 weeks!!!
I’m 15 and me and my friends love this album if that’s makes you feel better lol
Most underated Band of all time, Great Songs, Fantastic Voice, Guitar Tone for Ages.. Play in Seattle ...
Awesome performance, such a fantastic band!
I loved all the tracks on this album… it was a banger front to back!
I love this album after all these years!
amazing voice, same as on the record... what an underrated band.
The drummer turns a great song into an amazing one with that perfect hi hat addition.
Great band, great song. Thanks for posting this video.

He's tight with the band tho, don't always have to play slightly behind to make magic
Great album but they double timed the 6/4 riff and ruined it :/ not a sprint guys
its more fun for the bands to mix it up just enough to not have to play the same exact studio version for 20+ years
