The only real mistake was Kitty can 100000% have A high when you give her 5:1 on a call on the flop. So yeah, the Ace is actually a *HORRIBLE* bluff card. You should either barrel turn, probably with JT because it removes JJ/TT and also unblocks AK/AQ more, but QJ probably could if that was the 6 spades instead.

    • @Cydonianight

As of January 9th you are not on a downswing, you are in tilt. You have an advantage to get out of it, take the extended break, relax your mind and remember what you are playing for and study, you got tons of videos that you explain proper reads and play. Your play that night was a lot of gambling, you are chasing losses. (5 bullets)
As poker players we rely on skill and reads, we hunt the gamblers, but because of tilt you have become the gambler. From that first hand, you were raised huge, you forgot three things, one overbets tend to mean they got it, two it is okay to fold, and three you dont have to see it. Hope you get better soon.

Rampage, you gotta take a "nit" break. You're playing splashy, calling-station poker. Be a nit for a while. Forget about gambling, play solid, strong poker. If you are in a game and are not getting any decent hands or your hands are not connecting, just back down. Anyone who watches your videos will figure out how to win the max from you - wait to get the nuts and let you punt it to them.

Ethan, you need to a step back from high limit poker. Your play style has changed quite a bit from the past +12 months. Always wanting to gamble, playing any two cards, and being super aggressive, not knowing when to quit. You are a good poker player but it seems like you are making these unnecessary plays just for the vlog. You definitely ran into some coolers but most of your losses just seems like its from your new reckless playstyle. Be smart with your money, play within your bankroll.

Wow. Rampage, everyone knows you’re too loose. You’re playing starting hands inappropriately which is leading you to punt and bluff too much. You need to take some time and examine your play. You need to be more balanced. Tighten up your pre flop range. People will call you light thinking you’re bluffing and you can make a lot on your value hands right now. Take some time off and get together with Jonathan Little and go over your play. I continue to be a fan.

  • @mikeduke1294

The comments so far are unanamous that this has been Ethan's worst playing and lamenting his path. But I think this also depends on perspective. One, there is an implied value in the shock of the plays, the views, commercial aspects. PROBABLY, Ethan has been overvaluing that of late. Second and more important, is age. I'm old enough to tell you there are stupid things I did, risks I took, dumb miscalculations, and more that I committed at Ethan's age or even older that put me in deep holes, but over time I found my way out. Ethan has the benefit of time. If he goes broke, or even owes money, he has plenty of time and brains/charisma to make up for that and do extremely well. I don't have the time left in life to start over again if I go broke. So I look at what he does in this video and want to puke. He sighs, wonders, and keeps going.

Well, you weren't playing only premiums. When you played suited and off suited connectors and semi connectors (gapped) THEY'RE ONLY GOOD IF YOU FLOP A SET, or flop open ended or open ended straight flush draw *(ideally). You know what I'm saying? Pocket pairs (even Aces) are really only strong when set mining. So if you don't flop a set,,,, pfff you can get cracked. Honest evaluation of it. Aggressiveness is a double edge sword with marginal holdings. It's variance when so marginal.
Take the first hand showed to us in this stream, Big Slick suited. Flop comes K-4-4 (one heart). The board runs runner runner hearts. There's quads, at least 3 different full houses, and flush possible. Yoh Viral bets that much based on STP ratio and limits??????? Bruh that's a hero call that's unlikely. What can you really beat at that point in time, the board? Just spitting real

Honestly, dude, you're playing like me. I think you're chasing it, instead of letting it come to you. Pick your spots and wait for the right moments to go on a "Rampage"....
Psychologically, sometimes this fast and lose play style has paid off - and since it's not, you're chasing it. And what qualifies me to give you poker advice: NOTHING! DON'T LISTEN TO ME!!!! unless....I got lucky and hit something that resonates to you....

I'm sorry man, I know it's easy to judge from where Im sitting but a lot of your plays just don't make much sense. You can expect the downswings to be brutal if you are playing 3 and 4 bet pots with hands like 8-6 os and 9-5s. But I guess that's your style, All or nothing, Huge wins and Huge losses, very polarizing playstyle I hope your bankroll can handle it. Good Luck.

You seem like a nice guy, I feel really bad for your downturn, I've been there a bunch of times. I started playing higher-limit draw lowball 45 years ago, before Hold'em was even legal in California. I've quit about 10 times. I can't imagine what it's like to have it happen on video forever. You have to try to play to win and be entertaining I can't imagine how difficult that is. Embarrassing and demoralizing. Take a break pal.

    You running bad?
    Get used to it.
It will always be a part of poker.
Ethan you don't need a break,
You need to get your shit together
    Stop voluntarily playing like shit.
Hit the gym, eat clean, hit those cold showers and sauna.
Turn your mind into a calm, focused and sharp instrument at the table.
    Study your spots.
And then stick with the fucking program.

Hey Ethan, a fan here been watching you since the low stakes. Just wanted to call out something suspicious... Watching hustler and something just doest feel right... Your hand against Raymond A7 just seems very suspicious... A random "ski coach" coming in and shouting Gamble doesn't really justify that call.20 bb or not. Just wanted to point it out and maybe you have more resources to do more digging. Might be wrong, just a gut feeling from his actions and demeanour. All the best and hope your downturn changes soon in the year of the dragon!

Bro, you HAVE to rebuild your image at least a little bit man. People are just licking their lips when you sit down, I can almost guarantee it. You play like you’re always trying to catch up and break even. Yes you’ve had some luck but it’s seems at this point the only time you make money is if you’re running on fire. You fire 4-6 bullets at all your tournaments. What are you doing…take a step back and regroup. Maybe stop posting and rebuild your image a little. Idk but you’re hard to watch right now.

  • @Yungtahoe

Bro you’re not even playing poker anymore. You’re just bluffing whatever the board is, not taking into account everything that makes poker beautiful and fun: position, live tells, keeping your chips close, putting people on hands, etc. I know it can’t be fun playing like that, I’ve played like that myself. Please take a break for your own sanity. Detox from the game and really learn to fall in love with it how you did when you first started playing. When I found myself playing like you currently are, that’s what I did and it did wonders for me. I speak on behalf of all your viewers when I say we are all rooting for you here, and should you decide to take a break, we will still be here.

Im not sure if some of the moves youre making are for "excitement"? Youve put out lots of vlogs showing that you know the game very well...but then you play a game like this where its like you're more gambling that playing a strategy. Take a breath Dude. Play tight for a while until the cards come your way. Getting coolered on kings is a bad beat for sure but 8-6?!? Cmon man.

C'mon Ethan the time chip is just a distraction plus he reraised on the river which 9/10 isn't a bluff. I enjoy watching you play but sometimes u just have to let some hands go plus u bluff a lil too much. When u get caught bluffing more chances of u being called even w 4th pair😢

Yo rampage. When on a losing streak, the best thing to do is take a break and reset. Youve git the money to go and love in a yoga camp or muay thai gym for a month or two.
Money comes and goes. Enjoy it while yoube got it.
Nothing worse than punting off enough momey to live well for a year on a bad hand.
Ive done it before too. Noone would blame you for dropping stakes or taking a holiday.
If you want my honest opinion, you play poler well. But you do not strike me as a top 10% player. Not yet anyway. Playing with the top 10% is unlikely to be prfoitanle for anything but content.
Amd people can analyse your game much easier than you can analyse theirs, putting you at a further disadvantage.
Congratulations on your run. It has been epic so far. Just remember to take some off the table. Rat hole it. Personally.
I used to play mid-high stakes. Now my bank balance is less than a single days buy ins.
This is the fate of the majority of poker players. I hope its not yours, but it would be wise to insure against it.
And ive seen you smoke some serious money in the recent videos.
    All the best.

The old Rampage was playing. Major punt, haven't seen that for a while. Even with your tournaments and multi bullets, unless you just, keep getting coolered, I'd your punting way to much, like when you started playing up in the Boston area.
Either take some time off and get your head back into the game, or tighten up some and quit being a Blaster.

This ain’t a downswing brother, this is tilt. It may have started as a downswing but when you’re playing 95s, 86o, and shit like that you’re playing bad because of tilt.
