Hustlers games have too much dynamics and gambles are involved for Alec to buy in big when all the guys target to beat Alec. Guys seem to play Bluffy against Alec too often and Alec has to call light recognizing it. Alec also likes to push when his range has like 2~5% edge against the villains. That's why small buy-in is the way to go.
Yeah and it’s not a bad strategy but it puts him in tougher spots than if he was deep . This is an action packed game with 10k you’ll have to be more nitty

In the T7 vs 88 hand, do you have a river bluff-raising range? T7s has to be one of the best candidates, as it blocks the straight flush and top boat, right? Although perhaps T9s might be slightly better.

It’s such a huge disadvantage for a lot of these guys buying in for 10-20k when there’s a few table monster stacks of 100-200k+. It just leaves you with no room to manoeuvre
