That was actually Whirl. After Rewind destroyed the original Spark of Megs with one shot, reasoning that while the Funktionists would pretty much hammer the Cybertronians, at least the rest of the universe would be safe from their war. Whirl, on the other hand, saw it a bit differently, as the Funktionists gave him Empurata because he changed jobs (from soldier to watchmaker). With the survival of the Funktionists, they would have had the last laugh according to Whirl, thus Whirl stole the green Spark that Brainstorm had found earlier and installed it into Megatron.
There is no such thing as a purely virtuous side in a war. This is especially true of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons who have been at war for millions of years.
Nah nah nah Imma defend Impactor on that first one, dude gets sent out to catch criminals and in this quest most of his friends get killed by said heinous criminals but despite it all he pulls through just to have his pencil pusher of a boss tell him to let them go... BECAUSE OF FUCKING BUREAUCRACY !?! What was he supposed to do, just let mass murderers go? NO, hell no, the whole "if you kill a murderer the number of murderers doesn't go down" completely falls flat when the murderers dying each have separate body counts in the hundreds. This type of bureaucratical bs is literally why the decepticons started in the first place.
@@MrNormalPerson Hmm, I kind of agree and disagree when it comes to the situation involving Impactor. Now Impactor killing the Squadron X even though they were defeated and in cuffs was to have less enemies during war that could become a problem later on and felt he was justified in. However, when to backstories of Squadron X members (according to tv tropes) Ferak was planning to retire, Earthquake was going to be either kicked out or executed due to suspicions that he was about to pull a Heel-Face Turn, poor Fang was only a jerk because Impactor maimed his voicebox and left him unable to speak, Triton was forced to join against his will, and Crosscut was only considered a threat because people kept mistaking him for someone else who actually was evil) it makes Impactors action less justified.
Ah war crimes committed by the Autobots the stuff that got me hooked onto Transformers comics. Such great storytelling. Also Getaway should’ve been number 1.
that one with optimus sacrificing autobots to lure megatron to ancient earth. I see that as a neccessary evil from a bot who ran out of options, he was losing the war, and was likely running out of men, ideas, and resources. It'd be different if that was his first plan, but it was likely his last plan to save cybertron he basically went down with the ship, because he saw it as the only way cybertron could survive even if he wouldnt be able to see it rebuild.
Have mention Optimus authorizing the deployment of the Spark Extractor both while the Nemesis was stationary and in the battle for the Omega Lock in TFP. It's basically Transformers equivalent to dark magic version of a neutron bomb.
Is that really morally grey though? I mean at that point Megs raised the dead, and tried to team up with transformers Satan, and almost murdered a innocent bystander, and was threatening the existence of their adopted home and friends there, I say using more brutal means at that point is a justified response, you can’t get through to people like Prime Megs he wasn’t gonna stop until his entire team and the human race was dead.
In a TFP episode, when the Autobots have Starscream as a pow offering information and wanting to defect, when Arcee is left alone with him she beats him and tries to force him to open his cuff and injure her so she can kill him and claim self-defense.
Sandstorm killing after the war ended always sticks with me. I fully understand how he got to that point, but it is still just murder at that point. To me it makes a good reverse to post-war Brawl, who finally values life.
This just reminds me of how awesome IDW Transformers was. As much as MTMTE was a struggle at times, overall, including the 2019 continuity, it was superb from start to finish, and it was so dark at times. The Wreckers saga was brutal and definitely not for kids! Sunder was a savage character as well. Very inventive.
One bot I would mention is Kup. dude got stranded on a planet and he was the sole survivor. Ripped apart a fellow bot that also landed there and he did this because there were crystals that had radiation that altered his mind and was enhanced during the day. When some guys tried to rescue him, they could only where some boogey man looking suits to combat the radiation at night. and Kup's mind was altered in a way comparable to schizophrenia
That’s not really evil though he wasn’t in a right state of mind and was hallucinating his rescuers as monsters, and when he found out what happened he was horrified and ashamed of himself.
Sunstreaker blaming the entire human race for the actions of a cult? He wouldn't like to get blamed for everything the Decepticons did just because they're all Cybertronians, so what's the deal with him blaming all humans? Did he forget his human allies that put their lives on the line, too?
The humans in the IDW run did more then just that, but Sunstreaker was probably taumatized and more then a bit crazy after his mind was fucked with. Imagine meeting an alien species of whom a few decide to use your body and replace your head or crawl in your head like some parasite. I might want all of them dead too after that, not caring about those who had nothing to do with it.
I think Sunsteaker has a superiority complex. Especially when it comes to organics. I don't think he liked them from the start, but because of what happened to him, with being horribly tortured and being forced in a bond of sorts with a human. It turned his feeling into hate. Asking for the humans to be destroyed was an easy choice in his eyes.
Man I remember I bought a transformers figure, and it came with a comic book, and the comic book had like shockwave and all them, and I knew it was a dark, because it showed the robots getting torn and everything in body parts. I remember one panel mainly it was a autobots head that was disconnected and the eyes were black and it was oil everywhere.
Skarm and his team of Autobots literally destroyed planets just because they where Decepticon sympathizers…really blurs line between Good Autobots and Evil Decepticons, only real difference seems to be the Badge you wear.
That's how it works when you got two massive factions at war with eachother, replace badges with flags and you got the real world version right there, everyones got both in their factions.
Sure, most of the Autobots aren’t perfect, but for me it’s a good thing the vast majority of these horrible acts are in the comics, which I don’t really follow. Sentinel Prime, I can understand,in comics or otherwise, because it’d make sense that Optimus would encourage his men to be better to one another AND their enemies.
I agree. The characterization of Prowl, Sunstreaker, Optimus, Hot Rod, etc, in the show isn't anything like their characterizations outlined in this video. It's good to have unambiguously good characters in my opinion. Honestly, I think a lot of this evil autobot stuff in the comics is there for shock value, edginess, and the fact they might be running out of ideas. Like maybe they think cashing in on the grimdark trend is a good business decision or something? And maybe it is, but I don't really care for it. I don't get why people are so against having a generally good side versus a generally bad side, y'know? Transformers doesn't have to be and shouldn't be Warhammer. Nuance in characters is cool and interesting sometimes, like Skyfire and Sentinel switching sides, but "Cannibal mind-rape autobot" or "Selfish quasi-child soldier mass murderer betrayer autobot" aren't really interesting, just shocking, edgy, and kind of boring in the grand scheme of things in my opinion.

Sunder: Giving children nightmares since the 2000's! Edit: he makes you transform, but you forgor, so you discombumbulate. Edit: can you talk about our good friend Whirl? He is a chaotic neutral war criminal and known cool guy.
I was minding my own business walking along listening to this video, but the second I heard Scraplets, I fell on tripped on my face remembering that episode of Prime.
Sunder looked like his face could clamp on too another face impaling their head with his antenna on his head and slowly eating memories of the bot, I made this up in my head but still…
Not autobots per se, but the Maximal experiments that resulted in Protoform X/Rampage from the beast era would certainly fit in on this list. And then there's Protoform X himself...
The Autobots and Decepticons aren't "heroes" and "villains", they are but two warring factions, and just like real-life wars, both sides have good guys and bad bastards.
Would Maximals count as Autobots? They are their successors. At which point, I nominate Protoform X AKA Rampage. He killed and ate his way through two colonies. Admittedly, he's in part like that due to the experiments done to create him, but still.

Sunder is a well designed "evil for the sake of evil" villain. A lot of people give the archetype crap for being one note, but the only thing holding it back is imagination.
I started reading IDW's "More Than Meets the Eye" run. I'm trying figure out what was more horrifying. When they straight up brainwashed Tailgate with millions of years of heavily edited war footage to make him hate the Decepticons when he, having missed the war, suggested he might want to be one. Then there was when Skids and Getaway tried to use the thought gun on Tyrest to force him to resign thinking it was his idea. Then let's not forget the shadow play, which ultimately led to a senator they didn't like being forcibly reinvented as who we know as Shockwave.
Imagine being one of the top surgeons in your specialty and so brilliant you figure out a way to perform it without ever touching the patient and you're just like "fuck it killing people sounds pretty neat". The icing on the cake is that he likes fucking with people. Thats why he did the Mortilus larping and he probably only turns people into round meals "for the funny" since it seems most people who get turned inside out are left alive (albeit in a lot of pain). He also seems to be reasonably self aware. Ironically hes probably the most survivable out of MTMTE/Lost Light's villian line up, since you can bribe him/hire him and he seems to keep his end of deals. I mean he kept his deal with the most insufferable character in that comic.
I'm glad you brought up OP in TFP forgetting Raf's snowball. I really wanted him to see it and I can't believe he didn't bring that crap back. I'd honestly say it's the worst thing on the list that happened.

Me before seeing Sunder: oookay? Pretty tame!
Me after seeing Sunder: *sings the transformer themesong while hugging myself in a dark corner*
Prowl will always take the cake for making me look at the autobot insignia with skepticism...
Sunder turning bots inside out by making them forget how to transform is BRUTAL
There is no such thing as a purely virtuous side in a war. This is especially true of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons who have been at war for millions of years.
With all the crimes Sunder did, he don't deserve the Autobot badge.
i think after he lost his mind the badge became irrelevant
Nah nah nah Imma defend Impactor on that first one, dude gets sent out to catch criminals and in this quest most of his friends get killed by said heinous criminals but despite it all he pulls through just to have his pencil pusher of a boss tell him to let them go... BECAUSE OF FUCKING BUREAUCRACY !?! What was he supposed to do, just let mass murderers go?
NO, hell no, the whole "if you kill a murderer the number of murderers doesn't go down" completely falls flat when the murderers dying each have separate body counts in the hundreds.
This type of bureaucratical bs is literally why the decepticons started in the first place.
fair enough
@@MrNormalPerson Hmm, I kind of agree and disagree when it comes to the situation involving Impactor. Now Impactor killing the Squadron X even though they were defeated and in cuffs was to have less enemies during war that could become a problem later on and felt he was justified in. Whether we(the readers) thought it was is up to us.
Truly shows that no faction is truly innocent.
I love when each side is morally grey, much more interesting stories
The kind of bs goes when Optimus isn’t around or looking
I will never forgive bumblebee for Public Indecency
8:20 lmfao loved the *"bot-bot"* little "blooper".
Skarm and his team of Autobots literally destroyed planets just because they where Decepticon sympathizers…really blurs line between Good Autobots and Evil Decepticons, only real difference seems to be the Badge you wear.
good suggestion, i didn't really know him before now
That's how it works when you got two massive factions at war with eachother, replace badges with flags and you got the real world version right there, everyones got both in their factions.
Ik why they make everything so dark for no reason@@Gayacegunslinger
You missed like half of Prowl’s crimes against cybertronians but that’s okay. You’d be here all day trying to list them all
And I gotta keep stuff for later vids, lol
Fun fact: Bot-bots is an actual transformers toyline/cartoon
Lol I'm gonna look it up
"And everyone thinks _I'm_ a remorseless, sadistic psychopath?! I mean, _probably,_ but I'm not any of _these_ bots!"
--Whirl watching this video, probably
I got an Autobot bracelet and a Decepticon bracelet for me and my Aunt who also likes Transformers to use as friendship bracelets, Let's just say there's a reason I chose the Decepticon one for myself.
man, it really says something that 90% of this list is from James Roberts books.
I knew bayformers had some warcrime moments but MAN I was not aware the comics were this deep into geneva convention violations
Video Request:Will you ever make a video just fully about tarn and his backstory when he was an autobot?
yeah I have a series of spotlight vids planned, and he def deserves one
@@MrNormalPerson if you aren't can you do one on like the primes like in order or something if possible?
Love these videos, makes me want to start reading the entire IDW run
Update, I’ve started reading the entire IDW run
Heh it's funny that prowl is morally grey in IDW but his head design is literally the where the autobot insignia is based on.
Don’t forget that basically every decepticon was an autobot at one time
Sunder ,Sunder did a Blunder
Put a bot six feet under.
16:37 to be fair prime's actions were understandable and like you said he did stay with his fellow autobots and never abandoned them and went down with his ship like any good captain would.
Well shit, Sunder alone makes me love Decepticons a lot more than before. Before I just love Decepticons for simple reasons but after the list makes me a lot closer to them.
Shockwave & Sunder are equally devils
Sunder: Giving children nightmares since the 2000's!
Edit: he makes you transform, but you forgor, so you discombumbulate.
Edit: can you talk about our good friend Whirl? He is a chaotic neutral war criminal and known cool guy.
13:39 lol *"Sun Streaker"* is such a funny name 🤣
17:55
Sunder be looking like a Reaper Leviathan From Subnautica
I was waiting for someone to comment this 😂
I was minding my own business walking along listening to this video, but the second I heard Scraplets, I fell on tripped on my face remembering that episode of Prime.
Sunder looked like his face could clamp on too another face impaling their head with his antenna on his head and slowly eating memories of the bot, I made this up in my head but still…
Wow. You just made the creepiest Transformer ever even creepier. That's impressive.
Dude I actually love your videos! Your flow, your humour and as a hugh transformers fan I'm getting loads of lore and info that I either forgot or didn't know due to not haven't collected all the idw comics. Plz plz plz keep up the content dude I wish I found ya sooner but better late then never 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Sunder is a well designed "evil for the sake of evil" villain. A lot of people give the archetype crap for being one note, but the only thing holding it back is imagination.
"GIVE ME YOUR FACE!"-Optimus Prime,Revenge Of The Fallen
Roided-up Ratchet is the GOAT. Dude stormed into a Decepticon mine and punched Megatron
never really cared for the IDW version of Prowl, the whole anti-cop thing across the whole of IDW was way overdone.
I thought many aspects of the IDW characters were overdone
Try the entire comic. So glad this edgelord crap is officially dead.
"i have needs Optimus. Dirty horrible needs"
7:01 This autobot sounds like he'd really get along with the Imperial Japanese army... Especially Unit 731.
"Ratchet, YOU'RE in the box!" gets quoted by me and my cousin quite often.
Omg hearing that you'll make separate video for Shockwave is soo exciting I can't wait to watch it aaaa
yeah man gonna try and get on that next week
Man, wish i could see how good decepticons can be. And nice video, hope to see more of em
thanks dude and yep heroic deeds of the deceptions is on the list.
I'm glad you brought up OP in TFP forgetting Raf's snowball. I really wanted him to see it and I can't believe he didn't bring that crap back. I'd honestly say it's the worst thing on the list that happened.
Dude. More transformers lore. I have learned so much and an equal helping of laughs. Keep it up. You got a new sub
you got it bro and thanks for the comment
"I've hacked off so many people it's hard to keep track."
*pause frame*
"Whatever I did, I know it was necessary"
That is a hilariously effed up comic panel lmao
First of all, ratchet was also voiced by Horror Legend Jeffery Combs, so he was bound to do something like this
oh shit, I knew I recognized that voice. Good ol Weyoun
Not to mention Jeffery Combs also voiced Brainiac in the DC video game Injustice 2.
IDW really showed that this robot civil war was really a war, jeez.
Half way into the vid I forgot that this was about the Autobots, and once MrNor. says it again I just now realize how bad these actions were
This is like my first video on MrNormalPerson and already I'm questioning why a man in a red gimp suit is telling me about all the war crimes committed by the autobots......and I fcking love it give me more
if that ice is holding 4 autobots it has to be unbelievably deep
I’ve always thought the most brutal Autobots would be Ironhide or Grimlock. Grimlock because he acts like a dinosaur and Ironhide because he’s the most faithful Autobot and he HATES Decepticons
clip at 11:53 is from "web world" transformers, look it up, If you want to see Galvatron going to an assylum!
The most evil thing... Was when Optimus Prime said, "Boobies".
“May i plz have your crazy?” 😂I died. Love these vids they make my day brighter.
Great, now I need them to release a Sunder toy lol. That panel of him without the eyes is by far the most menacing piece of transformers content I've ever seen.
This channel I can see rising
Also would love crazy tf designs
Man, these comics are really taking full advantage of the fact they're robots. Some of these things are practically worthy of an MK fatality.
Says a lot when the video kicks off with immediate war crimes lol
I’m always so sad to hear how evil Prowl has been. I loved his look as a kid.
as a person who kins brainstorm to a molecular level, itd be reasonable to create mass chaos after you lost the love of your life. (not to mention his best friends kept wiping his fricking memory after every mishap)
Hmmmmm what if Sentinel actually managed to save Cybertron? Now that's a interesting alternative.
3:20 had he succeded in his goal of stopping megatron, and he ceased to exist, his actions would be canceled out, and as far as im comcerned, im not gonna try to wrap my already hurting brain around this paradox
this was awesome, subbed!!!
many thanks and welcome to the channel :)
Bro i found your channel by accident and i love it! Gonna binge watch the hell out of it.
