I wonder if Eli is struggling with the new KX450? He seems unusually slow compared to his normal blistering speed. Not a fan of the guy, purely because he's such a robot and seems to have no personality haha, but the guy can ride!
It is crazy because Ricky Carmichael watched James Stewart come up as a kid under him. Carmichael was around the Stewart's a lot. You can tell that Ricky wanted and thought James was going to be next. I feel (just my personal feeling) that Ricky left a year early expecting it to be James time. You can tell by the smile on James face when talking about Ricky just how much he both respected Ricky but wanted to beat Ricky straight up. To see a racer smile that much when talking about his older competitor shows more then their words could ever say. That said you can tell James hates Chad. Even though they are older you can still see that deep in his soul that he does not like Chad Reed.

It was cool to hear his side of the pressure.. like how the reason he always was going for it.. was because he felt like 2nd wasn't good enough. Like if his team wouldnt have been bummed. He may not have gotten so many injuries. And won more championships.
Andrew Cameron your kidding right? Chad has been known as the cry baby in our sport since he became pro! Have you never listened to any of his podium speeches or pressers ect? Lol he cry’s about everything!
TO 2014 was amazing. I called it on the second lap through the rhythm section. Sat right behind 2 guys I Kawi jackets that won 2 tickets to monster cup
James you should come back and race the 125 All Star series at the Outdoor Nationals.. imagine the attendance at the Nationals the manufacturers that don't build 125 will probably be pissed because people my start buying 125's again and racing my become fun again!
Don't really like how he is making excuses about why he didn't beat Ricky. He had plenty of chances. And 9 times out of 10 Ricky beat him. Straight Up. Which isn't a bad thing. I mean he is called the GOAT for good reason.
@@genenorris2564 Lol James isn't the reason he retired. He retired because he was tired of the constant grind of training and racing. He was tired of beating himself up when he had nothing left to prove. He literally holds almost every record you could possibly have. So why keep racing, risking injuring yourself, when you can retire and go out on top? He easily could have won one, maybe two more championships both SX and MX. There was just no point.
Yep. James was great at supercross (one of the very best ever - even better than Ricky I believe) but outdoors NO ONE had ANYTHING for Ricky. It is just how it is. Ricky had a way of stepping up to the chalenge to whoever and whatever was thrown at him. He was at the top of the game speed wise, agression wise, physically and mentally. The only outdoor motocross race I remember Stewart having a change of straight beating Ricky was Ricky´s second to last race in Redbud in 07, and even then he hadn´t broken Ricky - he was right there pressuring James. The other few wins were due to Ricky crashing while at the lead and not all of Ricky wins came at the cost of Stewart crashing (example being the blown engine James talks about in this interview, in Southwick 2006, when Carmichael was leading confortably by then.). The only guys who beat Ricky straight out outdoors in a few races were Windham and Tortelli. And any rider in history would get beaten by Carmichael 9 out of 10 times straight up outdoors. Ricky was just a machine back then at motocross. He was really the GOAT outdoors. His records will probably never be beaten.
this sport beat this man up and the sport never supported him like they should its no way champion should have left james thank you for the memories you are the goat
James is far from the goat. But was one of the fastest guys on the planet. And the sport wasn’t cruel to him. He was cruel to himself and didn’t do what he needed to do to win more ships. This sport didn’t ruin his career he done it by not turning in the paper work. (even tho it is complete bullshit and the FIM/WADA is pure trash and hurting our sport and all about money) that’s not the sport itself. The sport itself is are the fans. And 90% of the fans support and like JS7!
Legend. Thanks for doing this interview. Loved it. I like that you just let him speak openly. James was one of the most exciting riders to watch at a time when he was part of the brat pack. Lol. Some killer riders all bangin* bars for that number 1 plate. It was an exciting time. Icely done James. Good man.
"if I don't win this race. we don't eat!" This is what's wrong with our society right now. Everyone has lost the will to survive and advance themselves. Settle as a city is an example of what spoon fed gets you. I hope Eli is watching this. I was never a Bubba fan, but this was awesome. A whole new much larger respect.
In Stewart's prime there wasnt a faster, ride on the edge rider, one of the goats, I grew up watching and going to races seen him live, trust me might not have the greatest career , but talent wise probably the best

@@hernandocanencio6517 The numbers are there bro... you only talk about tittles, you forget other numbers, like races win 98, the second most after RC, sx wins, etc. JS7 has more sx wins than RC, JS has a perfect season, he has the record for best rookie season, having won 10/12 Motocross races in 2002. James has 5 FIM World Champion titles from Motocross of Nations, and World Supercross. 4 AMA Supercross Champion titles, and 3 AMA Motocross Champion titles. James elevated the sport, and did it when there was some really good talent in his era. Stewart, Charmichael, and Reed battles were the glory times of the Sport.
James rode the tracks at times like things weren't there or in his way? He kinda just flew through huge obstacles with what appeared to be little effort. I don't think he realizes how fast he was.
My Motorbike Coach Mungo introduced me to some of James 'Bubba' Stewart's work, and I've watched a few of his vids. Well done James on an honest interview. It’s always good to hear an athlete review their own career afterwards and you didn’t disappoint.
Thank you i have learnt i never not, but i now respect and love you buddy
I hope Eli watches this and smokes everyone for the rest of the season, knowing JS7 repped him.
Definitely didn't work this weekend....
Don't see that happening Webb would basically have to DNF a race
I wonder if Eli is struggling with the new KX450? He seems unusually slow compared to his normal blistering speed. Not a fan of the guy, purely because he's such a robot and seems to have no personality haha, but the guy can ride!
@@pierceb2105 Could be, hes on a kawasaki lmao
Shayne Brown if you actually think he’s doing bad because he’s “on Kawasaki” then y’all are brain dead end of story.
2-Wheel Master....Big Thks Stewart family!
Inspiration to those fans,kids, riders,sponsors, truckers, maintenance,flaggers,
We thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings and personal information too...
Thank GOD for Big James and wife! They raised some good kids!
We miss you James , there’s a hole in the sport that will never be filled! All the best for life after motocross
This was a good interview. I too was secretly hoping you'd come back with the #259...but I've come to terms with it. Looking forward to the continuation of the interview James...
"I tried breaking his leg, but other than that we were cool" lol, I loved watching RC and Bubba growing up
It was cool to hear his side of the pressure.. like how the reason he always was going for it.. was because he felt like 2nd wasn't good enough. Like if his team wouldnt have been bummed. He may not have gotten so many injuries. And won more championships.
Thanks for doing this interview, James. You are an incredible person.
Fastest's man on the planet..... Not sure what happened him near the end but he was the man ✊miss you Js7 Thanks! for the memories 😉
thank you james!!
Chad Reed must be happy after watching this!
Sketchbag chads a cry baby it doesn’t matter what JS7 says chad will find somthing to cry about!
Just curious Justin but what does chad ever cry about?
Andrew Cameron your kidding right? Chad has been known as the cry baby in our sport since he became pro! Have you never listened to any of his podium speeches or pressers ect? Lol he cry’s about everything!
So give me an example?

TO 2014 was amazing. I called it on the second lap through the rhythm section. Sat right behind 2 guys I Kawi jackets that won 2 tickets to monster cup
I really enjoyed this😀
James you should come back and race the 125 All Star series at the Outdoor Nationals.. imagine the attendance at the Nationals the manufacturers that don't build 125 will probably be pissed because people my start buying 125's again and racing my become fun again!
Good idea but he is to up him self to do a fun race
He could let everyone go on the start and still be in first place by the 3rd lap
Remember him coming out of the sand wash at Millville front wheel 8 feet off the ground he rode at another unique level.
another game changer the sign of a true great no matter what anyone says
Don't really like how he is making excuses about why he didn't beat Ricky. He had plenty of chances. And 9 times out of 10 Ricky beat him. Straight Up. Which isn't a bad thing. I mean he is called the GOAT for good reason.
This bikes were piles of shit,he could have beaten RICKY ,it is what it is history...
He beat Ricky thats why Ricky quit racing James applied alot of pressure he was the only one that could beat Ricky Carmichael
They interviewed Carmichael not to long ago and he said that James was the fastest man to ever ride a two wheel motor scooter
I was at 07’ Indy it was sick! I still remember and talk about that race and how fast he was going!!!
Me too ! I'll never forget it it
this sport beat this man up and the sport never supported him like they should its no way champion should have left james thank you for the memories you are the goat
Ah...excuse me! Ricky Carmichael IS the GOAT!!
50centgunit3 excuse me...?! Ricky Carmichael IS the GOAT.
Respect...and those tv people are evil...tryin to drag somebody for ratings...but he's one of the best...
fastest rider alive, hands down
U on drugs???
JS7 FASTEST RIDER OF ALL TIME! A MASTER OF THE SPORT.@@bultacowally
In Stewart's prime there wasnt a faster, ride on the edge rider, one of the goats, I grew up watching and going to races seen him live, trust me might not have the greatest career , but talent wise probably the best
I kind of remember a guy named Ricky beating him quite often
often? he also beat him soooo what do you mean?@@rcf3773
Hey thanks man your fans really do care about you buddy myself included, glad to hear you're moving forward with yourself man right on. Bro stewart is on point, good for you man, telling it like it is and you were great man, still are great, always looked forward to seeing you ride. I hope the future holds what you need for you brother. Good job man.
Playing these back now that the Bubba podcast is finally here
Both Stewart brothers has had a big impact on a lot of people. One night I dreamt that both Bubba and Mookie came to ride at my backyard motocross track in Sweden, they've heard about my private track and they had even learned to speak Swedish when they showed up lol.
Fuck outta here
😁😁😁😁😁
Mr.Stewart thanks for the awsome memories! ET3
Man i was there in Toronto 2014 come back win, what a race! I was so pumped to see the man js7 rip through the pack to 1st place and take it!
Absolute legend james stuart. Best rider ever🤟
NOBODY danced on a motorcycle the way JS7 did. Ever. Period. Barcia, villiipota, RC, Mgrath, NOBODY!!!!! He STILL is the most exciting to watch ride. His style is unmatched.

second winningest? sorry .Carmichael has more ama titles a lot more, McGrath has many many more, dungey and villopoto double or triple him on titles, even Stanton ,Hannah and Johnson has more titles. Please check AMA history and results and championships, and you will see , hes not even close to that.
He won 28 times in the 31 125cc Nationals he raced, which was better than Carmichael, Mark Barnett, Steve Lamson or anyone else.
You like titles, in your vision Dungey is better than Stewart or Reed, its ok, stay with the trophys on the shelf, i prefer riding
hernando canencio why are you even watching this video if you hating on him
i remember watching him in unadilla around 2007, after the race while my father and i were walking back to the parking lot he was driving a golf cart and almost ran us over haha. he stopped and gave us an autograph and apologized. one of the nicest riders I've ever met
James elevated the sport, and did it when there was some really good talent in his era. Stewart, Charmichael, and Reed battles were the glory times of the Sport.
James rode the tracks at times like things weren't there or in his way? He kinda just flew through huge obstacles with what appeared to be little effort. I don't think he realizes how fast he was.
he also often rode dangerously out of control and put other riders lives at risk because of it.
that was a really good interview. love ya bubba
Who filmed this? Michael J Fox?
Michael J. Fox? LMFAO!

The Man The Myth The Legend
My Motorbike Coach Mungo introduced me to some of James 'Bubba' Stewart's work, and I've watched a few of his vids. A real talent with excellent accomplishments and seems to have a cult following by the looks of it. But what I like about him also is that the brotha seems to just live a very simple life. Mad respect.
I love the Daytona wall jump
It's funny he mentiond Dade City I raced with him back in the day I still ride at Dade City now and then raced with Ricky Carmichael as well...
What about your 125 race in Budds creek 2003 I believe, got taken out at the start and came back to win with a minute +!! I had the wrong venue.. and yeah the BUBBA SCRUB!!
The 2007 Indy SX was insane I was sitting in the lower section where he would quad into turn and then triple out he was killing it! From dead last to beat Reed! The work environment at Kawasaki must have been not the greatest when they thought he was done! He showed them! Lol
One of my favorite racers of all time. All around great guy.🤙
Most entertaining rider in my lifetime. He was so freaking fast. Watching him at RedBud was easily the best racing I’ve ever seen. I’m glad to see he’s doing well just wish I coulda seen a few more races!
