  • We created this video in 2023 to help preserve the Cresson SCI property and assist with legal issues that were arising. Since then a lot of information has come to light regarding the previous owners of the property. Though we, and the individuals featured in this vignette no longer support the corporation that once operated on the grounds, we have chosen to keep this video up because those who spoke with us remain passionate about the future of the former prison and sanatorium.

Very nice! I've been wanting to check this place out, and now I REALLY want to. Thanks for the great vignette about their struggle and the importance of saving it.

Thank you so much, unfortunately tours are currently on an indefinite hiatus while things get dragged into court 😔

@@AntiquityEchoes That's a shame :( Makes it even hard to raise money to save it when you can't do tours. I'll go donate to the GoFundMe in the interm and hope for a future visit :)

Hopefully, Cresson can be saved. This place should be renovated and turned into a museum to show its history of use as a sanatorium and prison. There's no point in tearing Cresson down. It's just not worth it. I'll tell you this: Antiquity: If the landlord tears this place down, he will be haunted by Cresson for the rest of his life. It's not that badly dilapidated, just a little.

Cresson has a deeply complex history that is important for us to explore and reflect upon. Much of that history is difficult to approach, and many would rather do away with such a place than have to ponder what it represents. Cresson is a historic site, regardless of holding any official title, and should be preserved for future generations to experience.

@AntiquityEchoes Yes, it should. I agree 100 percent.

I wish I knew about this place earlier. I'm only about 2 hours away from it and would love to check it out. I hope they can keep it open.

We hope so as well. Sadly tours are paused while the fight heads to court. We are really hoping the property can survive as a historic site.

Are there any other influencers on social media that might be willing to help spread the word?

That's very kind of you to say, but it's the people who tirelessly poured themselves into Cresson that are the ones worth celebrating.
