I agree the spiral staircase is the way to go, it may be in front of the window, but it won't block it. or the natural light. For that price you could have a decent Reno budget. I like the spiral staircase idea. I think that space does have potential. Clear out all that clutter. Put in a nicer upstairs door to the terrace. A good cleaning on that area to get rid of the mildew on the outside walls. That outside space is really nice to have.

I think I would go with the removal of the half bathroom and have a spiral staircase in that corner. Having a toilet next to a kitchen is considered unhygienic in the UK anyway. 😁😁
Cute, it has loads of potential once decluttered. Def. Change the stairs-that is so scary-and put the railing up where it should be upstairs. I thought I saw a space before the upstairs bathroom. If so, it needs to be added to the bathroom, gutted, and redesigned. The downstairs is great, just some touchups here and there, and a good clean on the terrace, great place to vacation.
A spiral staircase takes up more room than conventional stairs.

For such a tiny flat, probably used as a home base for travelling, you'd have no real need of the downstairs toilet. Get rid of it and make a comfortable spiral staircase in that corner. 🤷♂

It depends on whether you have debts, what insurances you have, whether you have a car, etc but over all I would say yes
