Wonderful renovation in keeping with the old vernacular without sterile modernization. Ive been all around Italy and seen so many renovations, but they dont always resolve as authentic. Love it all, your rustic kitchen with the marble sinks and rose garden, your sense of style Love that sofa!!
Loved every 57.11 minutes of this! I got so much inspiration from the tour of your beautiful fortzza. Now I'm off to speak to my plumber because I want my pipes and taps like yours!😂😂😂
I loved watching you show your home, I love how everything had a story. Your house is lovely and the video was very entertaining. The very first video of yours that I watched was of you touring a home that you didn’t particularly like, and I thought oh my gosh who is this lady she is being so mean and negative to this poor realtor…. you really hated the home. I almost exited the video but I am so glad that I stayed. I am now a new subscriber, and I honestly love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.
So beautiful. What wonderful, creative, curated spaces. I also love your design ADHD, which I 100% share with you. PICTURE NOT STRAIGHT? TABLE NOT CENTERED UNDER THE LAMP? Everything must wait until the offending item is set straight 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the full tour, it was nice to see it all in one place! Cantina: ikea bathroom looks great, ya know that's the finest style you can reliably find on a budget, no doubt! I did notice the cantina is missing a Lacanche of its own. Cantina looks really great overall. Seeing this much tour does give me more questions i'd like to know about...there's an idea, how about one of your videos that is a Q&A with you? Folks could submit in questions for you to pick some to cover. Ciao
@@AnnetteJosephstyle thank you. I like the way you think! lol. Steam oven... ok I get it, although I can make a case that having one of the smaller Lacanche as a focal point in a seldom used kitchen would be the ultimate personal statement 😉
OMG! Gorgeous home and love the ‘groove’ bathroom oh that tub!!! Glass of red wine and soaking in that tub would be amazing! Thanks for the tour!! Really enjoyed it ! 👏👏
Can't wait to watch! Also loved the recent "Annette Has Died and Gone to Heaven" episode on the house in Bagnone! Makes me regret not making the short jaunt there from Pontremoli as planned this past summer, though I wouldn't have been able to enjoy their house the same way I did Podere Conti, which I am forever indebted for you introducing me to! 🥰🥰🥰
@AnnetteJosephstyle I will most definitely be back! Have you ever been to Treviso, btw? This mini-Venice stole my heart with its crystal clear, flowing canals teeming with plant and animal life, Lucca-esque city walls, vibrant bike culture reminiscent of Amsterdam, and gorgeous, verdant parks, bike and pedestrian paths surrounding the old city center. I definitely recommend a visit if you've never been there while in the vicinity of Venice! This is where I've set my sights on living when I make my planned move to Italy in a couple of years.
Nice job Annette. It worked out really well. I like how you reuse things in combination with new items. I sort of do this at a small scale at my home. Thanks for sharing for this inspiring video.
@@AnnetteJosephstyle Haha. Yes the channel had to grow on me. Now I appreciate it a lot. Big respects also for your writing achievements (I wrote one book).
Your house is more or less identical to mine except houses were built later on either side to make a terrace. The house was rebuilt in 1370 and has much earlier foundations.
Both actually, I love the exterior wiring and the vintage outlets and switches. It does prevent digging into the walls as well. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching. x
What's with the red refrigerators in Italy? This is the 2nd time 2 weeks that I've seen red refrigerators. We just bought a house in Tuscany and the previous owner gifted us their red refrigerator.❤
One could take an old cabinet like that and cut the front off the just use the front whole as doors for a closet. then its the proper depth too. Ive done this several times building tv cabinets for people, back when we were doing that for deep picture tubes. The bust is very cool , what are the odds? you can say you're a collector, the value of the pieces means nothing except to you. my wife collects cheap jewelry. not tacky cheap just inexpensive. she loves a compliment of a piece that cost her s couple bucks. I'm almost sorry I watched this. 'your house is everything I want. Can you find me one? I'll need that view though. you can be my decorator. you only did a few things I wouldn't have ,but once I actually saw them I'm okay with them now. I also bought your book today.
It is beautifully done, a work of art. Love. The best think is you dont have to demolition any wall if you have trouble , also the hot water in the pipes warm up the room as you wash. I think it is a fantastic idea.
Love Italian properties like these! Make sure you're subscribed to my channel for plenty more house tours!
Mrs. Annette, I just want to come hang out with you! 🙏🏽✨🙌🏽 You are a ball of Joy to me! 🎉

WOW! The property is Stunning! Thank you so kindly for sharing ❤.
Absolutely bonkers how beautiful your place is. Mozzafiato!
That's great, I imagine you would have to be careful of the hot water pipes on the exposed plumbing...

Just amazing! So beautiful what you have done! Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your home.

I had a drink every time you said 'Italy is my boyfriend' I'm very drunk
🤣
Your pool should have been a living pond with a small waterfall( for ambience ) and a respectable area to take a dip in it ;)

Great Video Annette! I had no idea you had a book or have a business at your home, now I’m gonna have to google things. Haha. Cheers Kirk

Congrats Annette! You certainly have created a stylish beautiful house. What’s your next project? A shop? A restaurant? A cafe? 👏💕
Thank you. No current projects, other than a new cookbook on the horizon. x

love your style. Got to love the Australian Aesop soaps you use there

@@AnnetteJosephstyle what do the Italians think of the Nespresso machine thou?
Where did that incredible couch in the cantina come from??? I just ordered your book. Squueeeee!
From Maison du Monde.
Worth the wait❤
Thank you x
Your taste is exquisite! Why did you choose this area and not e.g Puglia ( where I'm looking)
I love the green the mountains, and the central location. Our view is spectacular. Puglia is a whole different Italy. Thanks for watching.
It’s an Italian thing. (Bathrooms by the kitchen)

Annette, you need sunglasses 😊
You're 100% correct! Thanks for watching. x
You are so awesome. You could be a travel host EASILY. Move over Samantha Brown. Just your personality and how you talk. You're so sassy and cute.
thank you very much, and thank you for watching x
Is the exposed wiring for a logistical and cost purpose to avoid having to tunnel out and embeds the wires into the walls?
Both actually, I love the exterior wiring and the vintage outlets and switches. It does prevent digging into the walls as well. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching. x
Does the complex have a piano?
It does not.
What’s the closest big city or village from the house?
La Spezia
What's with the red refrigerators in Italy?

I'm curious, what does your husband do for a living?
He's a retried surgeon. Thanks for watching x
Why are you calling your home a fortress ?
It's a 12th century fortress that we have renovated. Thanks for watching.
Exposed plumbing and exposed cables are not "cool" but "disgusting".
Out I went
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but we adore our home. Thanks for your feedback. x
@@AnnetteJosephstyle It´s quite beautiful. I do not like that part, that´s all.
