Truck is Awesome! I drive a blue 1980 F-150 Ranger XLT standard. Feels so good to be teaching stick to my son and daughter.
That bondo repair will come back to haunt you later when it gets moisture under it and rusts it out worse. I've worked in the body shop industry for many years and have seen a lot of bad repairs
It will probably work temporarily but I would definitely weld in a patch and undercoat it well
Nice to see a dad out doing something with his hands for his kids instead of paying for someone to do it. Great video. Great lesson on what a little sweat equity can give you and a great lesson to the kids as well! All around great video! Nice job dad!
People. Don't fill holes with bondo. It is stupid and never holds. Weld it shut or glass it over.
Never seen bondo used to "fix" a floor board - it would seem it would break off when the floor board flexes.
It is so much easier to work on these classic trucks compared to the older classic cars/trucks from 1940s because these 80s 90s trucks still run good, with no rust it only takes few days to make the look brand new again.
Good job, Dad. I thought the cedar door handles would look stupid, but it works very well in the cab - it looks great and the bench seat came out great as well. Lucky kids!
I learned to drive on an '82 F150 (4x2) manual. Great truck.
That bench seat color is nice 👍
LMC Truck has the piece for the window chanel. Part # - 49-9300
Really like the door handle.
Great job buddy, just take that sweatshirt off.
GO DAWGS!!!!!!
Love those mirrors
Great work love the truck. Thanks for some ideas!
Cool video, good job. That original green interior was nice though.
nice do as you like. I do like the seat and the door pulls . aver all interior came out nice good job
LMC Truck has all the weather stripping and door glass related pieces
Good Job 👍 have an 83'
Looks great. I am about to start one that is in very similar condition.
Hey, don't knock the green interior. I have an '81 Ranger Lariat with an all green interior. I think that's about as rare as they get😁
Like 3 10, I subscribed
Only thing I wish those seats would do is offer the backseat cup holder fold down
Nice job! Thanks for sharing. Where did you get that seat? Im looking for something similar for my 1990 f250.
Local family run shop in middle TN.
@@JohnBullOutdoors Ok, thank you.
What kind of glue did you use?
300 straight 6
I wish it still had the original straight 6.
Did you paint the plastic around the glovebox while it was still mounted or did you ever take it off?
I did not remove the glovebox.
Do you mind me asking how the truck cost you?
I like this video, but I want to hear from you in your description, not ChatGPT!
LMC has the window track rubber
They have everything for this truck …including weld-in floorboard patch panels lol
Hey John been wanting one of these bullnose fords if you’ll ever want to sell it please let me know
I don't think my daughter would let me. :)
