first thing on a crisp chillie dry morning youll love that K.n for the sound and it does work, on a hot sunny day it sucks up hot air and youll have considerable loss of power,. try a panel, with a modded air box from courtenay sport, not many mods for the 2.6 exept the flywheel, and a 10bhp remap.honestly from low rpm the vectra 2.6 felt better than my ST, bucket load of low grunt, the St dont do shit under 3,5k rpm after thats its a raveing nutter all the way up 6800rpm, handles well fora tank
I have 1.8 115 hp vectra b x18xe1 with 17 inch wheels 225/50/17 and at 2 (second) gear accelerate to 100 km/h 9 sec.
your user name suggests you might be biased ;) i agree with you though, i just bought a 2.6 sri wagon, has a K&N filter, handles like crap (i have local country lanes) but its so lazy its nice, loads of torque low down, very handy for overtaking :)

Ahah. Vectra b. I had two of these 98.2.5sri 4dr saloon and 2.6sri 5dr hatch 01plate.
I have to say i did mod the 2.5 slightly larger throtle bodies. K&N which i took off sucked up hot air.. Magenex 6*4 oval cat back. And remap and iridium plugs. Still wasnt all that. The 2.6 i just put a magnex twin slash back box. That was quite good for low rpm grunt. Didnt like going up to the redline. Both were shit on a hot day. After being in traffic jam. Lost so much power on hot days. Handle like shit2

is 9 second no 9,7,9.7 is fabrics,and vectra is fast because it is lighter than sapphire

thats what i have, a panel filter mate, sorry bout not explaining it, if i keep it long enough (i doubt) 9 cars in a year and a half, only been driving for that long, ill buy a 3.0 and wedge that in.. but ive seen a few nice cars i can afford when i get my years no claims through in 4 months.. sooo will see ^^ the mondeo's have well better chassis' thats a fact but im happy cruising atm and putting little shits to shame in there 1.6's with fart cans haha
i would just leave it aloane and enjoy ti tbh, the 3litre conversion is nice, but cost way too much hence i bought the ST, enjoy it mate use it and abuse it, when its dead buy an old shitter mondeo 2litre for a few hundred rip the arse out it, put a few dents in it, cut a few people up, barge your way into lanes in traffic, watch every one back off, its great you cant beat a car thats worthless, but i had to grow up,. i do collect my nectar points at bp though. my babys thirsty,,..take care..
