Hiking CALIFORNIA : Sun, Redwood, Panoramic, Lost & Fern Creek Loop | Muir Woods NM | 4K

7-14-2024 : Sun, Redwood, Panoramic, Lost & Fern Creek Loop was a mix of several trails that take you through Muir Woods National Monument if you don’t have reservation. Fern Creek Trail was extremely crowded since the parking lot of the monument and visitor center are located here. Great views throughout the hike! However, there were a few spots that were alright such as walking along and crossing the parking lot of Muir Woods, crossing the streets and little bits of residential area. Trail was mostly a narrow dirt path with a steep incline near the end.
Limited street parking on the side of Panoramic Hwy.
Muir Woods National Monument is close to San Francisco hence it’s a popular spot. I prefer the redwood hikes further north in Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park and Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
Total ~4.7 miles; ~2.5 hours to complete.
