An incredibly useful and informative video. However I will pick up on the quality of the picture here, which is very unclear and makes it harder to understand what is going on. That aside the way this is explained is amazing and helps me to understand what an earth is going on with my curtains and how to fix.
Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment, this video is old and I noticed with my old videos that after some time the quality of the pictures just gets fuzzy that’s not due to me that is because of circumstances that I can’t explain but originally the quality was not bad. And I am glad to know that you’ve got some. If I could find all the videos that I put up 7 to 8 years ago and re-up load, you will see the difference but when they are transferred to my many hard drive archives, I don’t know where to find them. 😙 but thank you for your comment.
You can buy a new staple to replace the old, and if your track is in two section then you can open it from the middle and slide the new staple in and connect the cord back, but if not then take the track down and re-thread the side that is broken. Its a headache I know. but if you do not want to go through all that. remove the cord from both side and let the curtain run freely and hand close and open the curtains manually. That's just something to think about.
This type of curtain just isn't worth the trouble they cause down the line. The cords break because the curtains are heavy. Nowadays you can just put up a round curtain rod and use the lightweight curtains that have the ring holes on top.
Or you can buy a cordless track and don’t bother with the cord or pull the cord out of the track that you’ve got that’s giving the problem and just let it run freely it will still work.
We’re gonna watch this again Xmas day after lunch instead of the kings speech 👍
Thanks for the guidance! Your video allowed me to replace my cord in 30 minutes. The sewing really helped me get it done in confidence.
Thanks Desiree, a relatively easy job with your guidance.
Very useful, thank you. Looking at the comments below, I don't understand why some people need to be so rude!
People who are rude really have not to say, So I just have to ignore them. But thank you for your comment and for watching.
Very useful information which I used to repair my curtain track - thanks a lot
Thanks.

Ours is opening one curtain only seems to be a staple bit missing on the left, what do we do then?
+JO BRYAN There are different type of track and I am sorry I can't pin point the problem without seeing it or examine it.
Thanks

@@DesSwags Thanks, those are great ideas. Will probably try the last option. The existing drapes are perfectly fine otherwise
Thank you nicely explained
You’re welcome
I much prefer a thicker lining to block out light
Sorry Lacks volume
I played it and the volume seamed fine. Try turning your sound up. But for the future I will speak louder or close to the mic. Apologies.
very useful
Too blurred to watch. Time for a new video i think.
I agree, thanks, but I'll have to wait for someone to call in for repairs and video that one.
