That’s awesome!! Thanks for sharing and watching. I really do love the Pro’s. Even working in the rain all the time here in the Pacific North West I’ve never had a issue with them not working.
I would actually recommend the ISO Tunes LINK over the ear style muffs for a large zero turn. Very comfortable and blocks out noise much better in my opinion then the ear bud style. Thanks for watching.
Good overview. Love everything about the Free's other than the volume. I can barely hear them when listening to a podcast or music while running my mower, tractor, weedeater. I love the fit and finish and like them overall, but I pull out the Pro's if I am running any outdoor power equipment. I will say that I don't love the fit of my Pro's; it seems that inevitably they come out of my ears-especially when i run my tractor on pasture. I've tried different tips and wrapping the cord around my ear but after an hour or so they are sure to come out. I've had good interactions with customer spport, but ultimately each one has left me wanting improvements
Interesting. For me it’s the opposite for fit. The pro fit good and stay in and the frees work them selves lose and fall out. Also I agree on the volume. I actually don’t use the frees because of this. I use the pros at work and at home nothing beats my apple AirPods. Thanks for watching.
I have had the iso tune pro’s in the past. I own a lawn care business as well and they worked great while running equipment. I ordered the iso tune Free’s at the end of 2019. I had high hopes and couldn’t wait to try them. While doing leaf clean ups at the end of the year I tried them out for thee days. The 22 dB rating was disappointing! I could hear a lot more noise from all of my equipment and it was very noticeable! While running my equipment mower, blower, trimmer’s you are in able to hear the music making them in usable while working. I ended up returning the Free’s and I am waiting for the pro 2’s to come in. The smaller ear buds were definitely not comfortable while wearing them the entire day as well. I love the idea of the free’s but I would hold off on buying them until the dB rating is comparable with the pros. Definitely recommend iso tunes though. Great product and great company.
Ok thanks for sharing your experience. Guess I’ll have to wait and see how they perform for me during the lawn care season. A lot depends on the equipment noise level. That’s why I thought it was important to mention the dB rating in the video. It doesn’t sound like a big deal being 5 dB less but if you understand how the dB scale works and that it is exponential and not linear then you understand that 5 dB means that the frees let 5 times as much sound through as the pros. I agree though that both the PRO’s and the company itself are great. Thanks for watching.
Thanks to watching your previous review, I ordered the ISOtunes PRO last week and they are arriving today. Very excited to try them out while working. Good timing on todays review of the whole ISOtunes line up, it confirms that I made a good choice for ear protection and able to listen to music or podcasts while working.
Hey buddy, yes I would say you made a good choice. I’ve really enjoyed mine. They come with S,M,L sized tips in both memory foam and rubber. Use the memory foam for maximum noise protection and to hear your music better. The volume on these is maxed out at 85db to be OSHA compliant as hearing protection so they are not as loud as regular headphones. So you want to make sure you use the proper sized tips to block outside noise. The only time I have issues hearing is with some podcasts where the content creator is not thinking about people listening working in noisy environments and they record at low volume. The other thing to remember is the foam tips do wear out over time. They lose their ability to rebound after squishing and so don’t seal as well so you will have to replace the tips over time. The first set I used lasted one year before I replaced the foam for the start of the next season. Thanks for watching.
Good review, I'm looking at Axial as well but for the money I'm not convinced that electronic is a good choice for me , but we all need hearing protection ,find what's is comfortable to yourself , hearing and eyesight are very much worth protecting .
So, a couple thoughts on the newer lineup: the pro 2.0 have been my main set for close to 3 years now and honestly I find that lack of an adjustable behind the ear wire to be a problem. They are like a spring wire behind the ear that always stay in the same shape, and over time they get mis-shaped and they are a struggle to keep in and comfortable. The Free’s are a great idea but they are lacking sound protection vs. the Pros and Pro 2.0.
I haven’t had an issue with the wire but everyone will be different. This current season I’ve been solely using and testing the ISO TUNES Link model. They are the full size over the ear muff style of hearing protection. So far I really like them. I think they offer the best noise protection. Thanks for watching.
Did you find any noticeable audio quality differences between the PRO and PRO 2.0? I'm considering them, and the savings from getting the 1.0 are worth the battery and IPX rating loss as long as I can still hear my podcasts when I'm downtown.
No noticeable difference in audio quality that I remember. Biggest advantage I found was the battery life. But the originals were great as well especially if you remember to charge every night. Thanks for watching.
I bought some of the iso tunes frees and have been trouble getting them to go far enough into my ear and stay snug. I’ve tried all the given tips and haven’t found one that works keeping them in place. My ear canals also seem to be two slightly different sizes, most wireless earbuds are a pain to keep in unless they have an ear hook. Maybe they’ll come out with an ear hook for them.
I feel your pain on getting earbuds to fit correctly. The FREE’s are nice but with that being said The ISO Tunes PRO’s or PRO 2.0 are tough to beat though and overall my favorite ISO Tunes model thus far. I’d recommend them to anyone. The built in mouldable ear wire make them fit perfectly and never fall out for me. Thanks for watching.
I think the pros are the best but the volume is limited on all the iso tunes models which is why they are certified as hearing protection. So it really depends on what you are listening to and the how loud the mower is. Recently I was listening to an audio book and the narrator was so quiet I could not hear him with the mower going. I ended up switching over to my ion audio tough sounds big ear muff style Bluetooth hearing protection. They are louder and block out more outside noise being over ear style ear muffs. Not as comfortable on hot days though as iso tunes. Thanks for watching.
I have some Tzumi sound guards and a feature I like that I think should be on all hearing protection sets are large rubber buttons. If you are using hearing protection in a loud environment and are more than likely wearing gloves. Big buttons make it easier to control the music without accidentally pressing any other close by buttons
Yes you take them off. 😂 just kidding. But No. They do not use active noise cancellation. They rely on noise isolation via the memory foam ear buds like ear plugs. Thanks for watching.
@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess ok thanks for the quick response. I teach middle school wood shop and need something to protect my hearing but also allow me to hear what is going on around the classroom. I will keep looking.
No one has said what the sound quality is like? I love the idea of these but how is the quality, can anyone comment? I currently have Apple Air Buds and the sound is amazing!
The sound quality is fine for talking like podcasts and audio books. I also have the Apple AirPods and these do not compare in audio fidelity when listening to music but are acceptable. The biggest complaint I’ve seen from people is that the volume is to low on these. That is by design as they are hearing protection and need the volume limited to be NIOSH compliant for the workplace. It’s only ever an issue when operating very loud machinery and listening to a poor quality audio source like you find with some podcasts. Thanks for watching.
No issues at all wearing the over the ear wire and safety glasses. I love the wire. Keeps the ear bud in place and no worries with them falling out. Thanks for watching.
Hey sorry only just been using them now that lawn care season started so I have not done a review yet. I can say though for lawn care based on my testing thus far, unfortunately I would not recommend the FREE’s. I love the concept but having that lower noise reduction rating meaning you hear more of that outside noise together with the low output volume allowed so that these are NOISH compliant means that almost everything gets drowned out by mower noise and is barely audible. It’s also important to note that I have only tested them with a 21” mower and not the even louder big mowers. On the contrast the new isotunes pro’s 2.0 are fabulous and work great with all the mowers I’ve tried. Amazing the difference a few decibels higher in noise reduction rating make.
Can anyone reading help... what about those of us who wear safety GLASSES while doing lawn care or woodworking? Does the wire that goes around your ear interfere with safety glasses that rest above your ears? Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
Awesome. You will love the pros 2.0. I have them around my neck right now. They are now my favorite iso Tunes. I even like them better than the FREES model.
@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Received the Pro 2.0's and used them today for the first time. So, back story... recently moved to a new house with a bigger yard and bought a zero turn. I noticed my ears ringing after cutting for 1 hr with some basic amazon ear muff style hearing protection. Decided to give these a try because it gets hot AF in NC during the summer and I wear a full brim hat while outside usually. I was extremely impressed. The Frees make me nervous as they could fall out if not properly seated and don't offer very good hearing protection compared to the 2.0's. But, no ear ringing post mow, music was plenty loud enough, extremely pleased with my purchase. Thanks to you and a few other channels. Very cool you interact with your viewers' comments btw
Your welcome. Glad you like them. I use them everyday all day while mowing lawns. Just a note, The foam tips do wear out over time. You will notice that they will not block out sound as well as they use to. For me they last between 6 months to 1 year before the foam needs replacing when I use them as I said everyday all day. For you as a home owner using them once a week for lawn mowing, you will probably get a few years I’d guess out of one set of tips. ISO Tunes sells the replacement tips when needed. Thanks again for watching and following up with your impressions.

I really wanted to like isotunes but they just don’t work for me. They won’t stay in my ear and they don’t hold up to the way I work and the amount that I sweat. Don’t have a good alternative to offer for in ear but these didn’t work for me. Actually brought up my issues to them at their booth at gie and the guy was just like “huh that’s weird” and that was it lol
That’s too bad. I haven’t had any issues day to day using the models I’ve tried other than the foam tips wearing out and battery life decreasing over the long term. Both of which are to be expected. But in terms of them turning on or Bluetooth connectivity, even after using them in a rainy climate everyday, they have held up. Thanks for watching.
Yes I suppose that’s a possibility. In my testing they stayed in my ears fine but because they have the same lower volume output that all ISO tunes have but also a lower NRR then the other models, it makes it very difficult to hear podcasts or audiobooks when a big mower is running. So I don’t think they are a good fit for lawn care companies. The PRO 2.0 are much better if using very noisy equipment. Thanks for watching.
Love the Pros’! Actually lost them over night outside and the got rained on. Still work peefectly
