how come you do 8 sets for front delt, 4 sets for rear and side? is 4 sets not too little volume for the muscle groups especially if you’re training them once per week? 8 sets of front delt would make it overdevelop too, unless that’s what you’re going for? I’m always experimenting trying to figure out which volume works best, but would you atleast keep every muscle group equal volume for equality in your physique?
Doesn't quite work like that. N he didn't do 8 sets for front delts! He did shoulder press 1st thats the over all delt front, Side and rear. Then he did 1 exercise for each directly Side, Rear and front! U also have to factor all your other lifts. Most all pressing movements your front delts are heavily involved. Most all Pulling movements your rear delts are involved. So ideally if your going to do a shoulder only worked such as shown. hitting the overall delt first is an effective approach. Then hit the heads directly (Individually) as he showed. It also give you an opportunity to focus on a week spot if needed. N most people generally neglect the rear delt entirely. U see many people with very well developed front and side delts almost no rear delt development. Fact is the majority of that cam from pressing movements not direct shoulder training. Hence lack of rear delt development. That comes from Pulling (aka back training) and direct shoulder training. Majority of people do not take into consideration the rear delt is one of the smallest muscle of the body and it trained incorrectly. Most use way to much weight and incorrect exercises. N actually train Traps n Rhomboids vs rear delts. Tiny muscles do not require heavy weight. Think about the anatomy and function of any muscle n train it according to what its function actually is meant to be doing. N save yourself from future injury as well as far better progress on your journey!
