About the game:
ARMA 3 is an open-world, realism-based, military tactical shooter video game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows in September 2013, and later announced for OS X and Linux in August 2015.[4]

ARMA 3 has received generally favorable reviews, garnering a score of 74 out of 100 on the review aggregation website Metacritic based on 38 reviews.[29] Some reviewers praise the modifications Bohemia Interactive have done with the engine, animations and sound. However, others criticised the lack of single-player content on release, mainly a campaign.
PC Gamer selected the game to be the simulation game of the year.[32] ARMA 3 also gained Czech game of 2013 Award for technological contribution to Czech video game output and was elected to be best Czech video game of the Year in Booom 2013.[33][34] Rock, Paper, Shotgun selected ARMA 3 to be 16th best FPS of all time and the 10th best Simulation Game of all time.[35][36]
The islands of Altis and Stratis also received much praise. The Guardian even included them along with Chernarus (the setting of ARMA 2 and DayZ) in its list of 10 most beautiful video game environments. Other video game worlds in the list included Skyrim, Los Santos, Empire Bay etc.[37]
It was announced on May 28, 2014, that the game had sold one million copies. In October 2015 sales had reached two million units, and in March 2017 it reached 3 million sales.

Also for some of you people with 64 bit computers who switched to 32 bits. If you experience problems where for some reason the graphics gets bad and only runs at 6 FPS switch to 64 bit so you don’t experience it. And also you don’t have to do what he says at 3:16 as that messes with your screen in the game. What ever is default is the correct one.

I guess it may be due to your graphics settings try changing them and if it continues maybe u need a new graphics card
searched for vids about the FPS drop problem, got that fixed. then the freeze problem showed up so I searched for vids about this problem. none of them is as accurate in solving the problem as your vid man, thanks a lot! problem solved
Returning the settings to "playable" caused the game to hang in the menu again. Deleting the Arma 3 folder from Documents (or moving it) helped me. Maybe it'll help someone.
Okay, the game stopped freezing and crashes when I deleted the Arma3 folder, but if you followed this video then switching to 32 bit may have some consequences. I have a computer that meets the requirements of the game, and auto-detect puts the graphics settings on ultra. The system is 64-bit, of course, and switching to 32 bits led to the inability to run large complex missions (such as DUWS, OPEX for example) - the game just hung, or the process took a very long time.
So, I think if you followed all the tips from the video (and your system is 64-bit) and the problem is not solved - delete the Arma3 folder and go back to 64-bit in the settings. It should work.
I have no idea why Arma sometimes crashes for no reason.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. No. You have to be specific here. Some of these values are HARDWARE SPECIFIC. Meaning me trying to run it with those values will cause errors. I need to know what non-hardware specific values need to be the same. If I just copy and pasted the same values YOU have, there is *_absolutely no way it would work._*

If knowing my specs helps, I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and an R9 280 (3GB video RAM) on Windows 10.
The hilarious bit was I had much less RAM and a MUCH less capable FX-6300 processor before upgrading (and needing to go from Windows 7 to Windows 10 because Ryzen processors aren't compatible with Windows 7) and I had ZERO issues with Arma 3 outside of performance due to hardware. Now with better hardware, I simply struggle to get the game to even launch and work. I blame Arma 3's shitty outdated coding and Windows 10.
@@matchesburn i agree same was my problem bit i had specs little than your and i struggled for a while but the fix in this video helped me a lot. my specs are less than yours but the list you saw was optimized to run on hardware less than your specs but still i will add a complete descriptive list of what values should be added

Hi! I followed all your steps in the video and my game still crashes. I get an error code like "0xCFFFFFFF - APPLICATION_HUNG". It randomly started doing this today and all my parts are new and updated fully, at least im pretty sure. I have a gtx 2080 super and a amd 5 3600. Anything helps!

I launch it, it says loading addons (no mods selected) and then proceeds to not respond.
@@WikkyPlays why dont you back off some settings first revert back to 64 bit and disable hyper threading and also close any background programs and launch ARMA 3 as administrator

@@isotooop nah, I once I saw more steps out of the launcher I bailed on the video cause I didn't wanna mess it up to the point it wouldn't launch. I did get it launching again. My specs are Ryzen 2600, Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, 8gb of 3200Mhz ram, MSI B450 Gaming Plus, M.2 Kingston A2000 250gb 74gb available, 2tb HDD. I've been getting lots of freezing and crashing
