I consecrated myself to Jesus through Mary and my husband passed away the following year. I believe that my 5 kids and I were able to cope because she was taking care of us. Thank you Father!
Yes, I have no doubt. God bless you and your kids! Sorry for your loss. I was consecrated 9 months after losing my Dad, whom I had cared for for 5 years prior. I was confident about him, but she helped me to be more at peace about the job I did with him, and helped me with my grief. Mama is so good that way, huh?
Also, for any trolls/doubters/critics: it's of course God's comfort we receive by way of her ultimately, Him being the Source of all love, but Mary, as our Mother through Jesus being linked to us through her, works in tandem with Jesus, in unison so to speak, and loves us perfectly in as much as a human soul is capable; nothing she does or has done is completely independent, but rather Mary loves us as her children, and having been always perfect and chosen uniquely to be the God-bearer, always is in sync with Him Who created all things. She is still saying today, "Do whatever He tells you to do".
I consecrated to Jesus through Mary last year and I have never been more active in my prayer life and parish ministry. When I got closer to Mary, she brought me closer to Jesus. I clearly feel their presence in my life and guiding my family.
Wow! I'm a new Catholic as of Easter 2023 at age 67. I've read the Brant Pitre book JESUS AND THE JEWISH ROOTS OF MARY and that really answered all of my questions about her. I understood intellectually, but not with my heart. I have been hearing about Marian Consecration for the past year, purchased the Michael Gaitley book 33 DAYS TO MORNING GLORY and while I enjoyed the read I still did not understand why I would do the consecration. I didn't understand so at the 33rd day I put the book away thinking I'm a new Catholic and need to learn more. FINALLY! THE EXPLANATION STARTING AT 12:24 MAKES IT CLEAR. Thank you!
I did my consacration to Mary last year. This year I am renewing my consacration. This video has been so helpful for me to understand much better what it means to entrust my whole life to Jesus through our Holy Mother. Thank you very much Father!!
Just consecrated my forth child during the baptism to Mary's Immaculate Heart (according to the old practice) and myself to Mary following the preparation of St. Louis de Monfort. I was discerning this for awhile, but there was no doubt it was the blessed mother (through the rosary) that brought me back to stronger than ever in Catholicism.
@@drendaparfitt7417 well you can do that too. Thats why we have the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Consecration. This one just talks about the Mary Consecration. You should look into that one since you have something againts his mother but not Jesus. So look into the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Consecration, you cant go wrong.
Thanks Father for such a coherent explanation of consecration to Jesus through Mary I am sure that will help so many people to grasp the true meaning of the best and secure journey to Heaven . Praise God !! In the Immaculate Heart of Mary God bless Harry
While I was painting the image of Mary, infant Jesus and lamb, I came across your podcast regarding our entrustment to our Mother. I sat painting the image and reflected that God came through Mary with her Son our salvation! Truly Mary is the Ark❤
Mary was used once as a vessel to bring the Lord to Earth but now we can go directly to Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 King James Version 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 19:27 To me, you left out an important part; "And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home." I believe this is a call to bring our mother, Mary, into our own home. By bringing Mary into our home, Mary becomes immersed into every aspect of our life.
I dont believe catholic traditions and dogma. It is the teaching of man. Mary is Blessed always but I dont pray to her. I used to be catholic. Started reading the Holy Scripture and woke up! Very happy I did that.
Ecclesiastical 9:5 For the living know they will die: but the dead know not anything. Isn't this called necromancy? Mary's ossuary has been found in Jerusalem anyway as well as Peter, Simon bar Jonah.
I work in IT and I always relate my own prayers like a dialup modem and compare it if we ask to Mary being closest to the foot of the cross. Compare a noisy inconsistent 28Kbps to a local core 100Gbps connection. Its the most secure infinite lighting speed vs to I dont where it is now, probably traffic dropped due to my immorality.
I hear that Pope Francis has declared the year of St. Joseph..I believe starting Dec. 18th. Consecrating yourself to Our Lady and St. Joseph...how could you go wrong! Thank you Jesus for allowing us to share your Holy Parents! ❤
Thank you so so much ! This has helped me greatly! I was so confused whether it is right to do the total consecration to immaculate or not, and thank you so much for the explanation❤
If only people knew how much love Our Blessed Mother Mary has for us, through Her beloved Son Jesus, it is something i will never forget, i was given a chance in 1987 to feel it myself through Mary that night, words can't explain it, but your heart feels it very much, there is not a day that goes by that i can't forget Her, She is a devoted Mother to Her Son and to all who loves Her, but Mother Mary main message to me that night was that the people return back to Her Son Jesus, Mother Mary made my heart flesh again through Jesus, for myself is just the message to you, Jesus is the answer to your heart.
This is an excellent video. The comments section is trying to be infiltrated by at least one sola scriptura-ist, with his own scriptural selective sentences without context and his own personal interpretations. What is missing there is the teaching of the Magisterium inspired by the Holy Spirit. We pray for him and them; we pray for each other. God bless!
The one test of any devotion whether Marian devotion or the Protestant prosperity gospel or whatever: does it bring you closer to Jesus? If the answer is yes, then go ahead and embrace it!
For anyone reading this who has also carefully read the New Testament: Imagine you found a lost letter from Paul that said, " After the Holy Spirit is given, there shall come yet another comforter and advocate. To her you shall entrust your entire being. For she is the way to Jesus, and she alone is the reason God came." Considering everything you've read from Paul; it would be difficult to put into words how surprising that would be. It would be shocking actually, and you would rightly think it was a forgery. Now include every other writer of the New Testament as well as Christ Himself. Think of everything they said and then compare it with what this lost letter says. Yeah. This is what Roman Catholicism would have us believe about Mary.
Lord Jesus, my savior, forgive them for they know not what they say about our mother. Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on us. Immaculate heart of Mary pray for us. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit amen.❤✝️🙏
Look at it like this ppl - when we date someone and get to know their parents, we get to know our partner better and love them better. When we know Mary better, we know Jesus better and love Him better. We don't worship our mothers on Earth, but we still turn to them and look up to them and honor them (as one of the Ten Commandments say). If your mother is Christian, then she also wants to lead you to Jesus. We don't worship Mary, but we turn to her and look up to her to guide us closer to her Son. Jesus loves His Mother and wants us to know her. I can't imagine how hurt Jesus is from people disrespecting the very woman who brought Him into the world for the sake of our salvation. If you disrespect Mary, you're disrespecting Jesus. Also, if you deny Mary as a mediator from man to Jesus... Then you're also denying asking your mom and anyone on earth for prayer requests. Yes we can pray to Jesus directly, and we can also ask Mary and the saints to pray for us just like how we ask our friends and family to pray for us. We're not called to do one or the other, we're called to do both!
I was raised Catholic, Catholic high school, 74 years old now, was an altar boy, been on retreats, was a member of Cursillo, the Charismatic movement etc. I understand that Mary and the saints are able to pray for us and we can even ask them to pray for us when we come before God in prayer, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit...."where two or three are gathered together in my name I am there with you." I don't mind including the Hail Mary in my prayers and also often ask the saints to pray for my intentions......but my focus when I pray is always on Jesus, God Our Father and the Holy Spirit. I instinctively don't pray the rosary, because the focus seems to be on Mary, not God. Despite the fact that we are supposed to focus on the "sacred mysteries" it is repetition focused on Mary. If I am going to be repeating a prayer over and over....which I some times do, using prayer beads in the Orthodox manner, I prefer to use the Jesus Prayer....Lord Jesus have mercy on me a sinner. I have never been a supporter of Marian consecration, not even using weasel words such as "Trusting" instead of consecration in an attempt to make the idea more acceptable. Call it what it is....Consecration to Mary of one's life, family and salvation. I think I will stick to consecration of my life to Jesus, and depend on Him for my salvation, and at the same time will continue to recognize Mary in her rightful place of respect and reverence, not elevating her to higher and higher positions in the church as has been happening since Vatican One. Mary humbly submitted to God...and in her humility would not want to eclipse Jesus her son in any way..."Do whatever He tells you...." The Marian movement of popular piety with all it's emotional baggage attached to private revelations from the past Louis De Montfort, Medjugorje etc. has been getting out of hand. if anyone's feelings are hurt by this I am sorry, but it had to be said. We are under no obligation by the church to accept any private revelations or visions, even if approved by the church. It is difficult enough being a Catholic these days without more and more devotions, special prayers, novenas to Mary, St. Joseph, and Private Revelations being heaped upon our backs. The church allows all this to go on with nary a word of caution or criticism. This movement in the church, that is doing it's best to portray Mary as co-redeemer goes too far. Our God is a Trinity, not a Quadrinity. This movement is ensuring that Christian unity will never be a reality....even among Catholics.
Amen! Reading the comments here tells all. The focus has been taken away from Jesus our true mediator and savior and put on Mary, who like you said was a humble woman who pointed away from herself towards following the instructions of Jesus who said "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me."
i couldn't agree more. I'm a protestant discerning conversion to catholicism, and am really struggling with what seems to be such a huge focus on Mary by many catholics, including through the rosary, which as you say seems to focus on Mary so much (despite being meant to allow meditation on the mysteries of Jesus' life). Also the idea of 'giving our lives to Mary' sounds scary to me and dangerous, and I think we should only using this kind of language, and even more so acting on this kind of language, in relation to God Himself.
Father was going on with the thought of when you consecrate, entrust yourself to Jesus, or Mary or St Joseph; we might forget, but they do not forget. I wanted him to go on with that idea of they do not forget.
I say the Hail Mary and ask for the intercession of Our Lady every morning in my prayers but I still think the language of Marian devotions go too far and is only confusing fellow Catholics. For instance, I was on pilgrimage a couple of years ago when some of the group elected to pray the Rosary in preference to saying Mass. I have only ever understood devotion to Mary as a way of leading us to be every closer to her Son so I could not understand how some pilgrims would prefer saying the Rosary over receiving Christ in the Eucharist. I believe it was due to the type of confusing 'flowering' language that takes Marian piety too far.
@Mary Rose yeah, i know how you feel but a year ago i started and i was getting so much blessing and getting closer to God, it really showed me the good that comes from our madre Maria. But i know how u feel, im thinking about entrusting myself again but i have to do more research yk.
I invite everyone to look up St. Maximilian Kolbe's MILITIA OF THE IMMACULATA, become a member and live in that spirit. "To be unified with the Sacred Heart of Christ through the Immaculate heart of Mary."
New Catholic here. I am seeing a lot about consecrating yourself to Mary, or Marian consecration prayers. I don’t understand what that means. How do you do that? Thank you!
Its just like an own self Retreat, you do some structured readings inspiration mainly for 33 days on a row/ a devotion/ Novena kinda.. try and google 33 days Morning Glory or Consecration to Mary, you Will get more info, otherwise ask your priest might guide you or give you someone to guide you on how to🙏✝️
10:24 “The way that creation comes forth from God is the way it comes back to God…. and this is a big jump.” Is the “big jump” referring to that this is an opinion or that what is being suggested is no where mentioned in scripture? I accept that many things the Catholic Church teaches, or believes, is from tradition. But where, or who, started this teaching? The scriptures tell us that Jesus entrusted His mother to John at His crucifixion, but He came back three days later. If Mary continued to remain in John’s care after the resurrection, that would be speculation on our part. I thought that, through His death, burial and resurrection, we who believe are consecrated to Christ. Is that wrong? God bless.
Hey there, sorry but, im a bit confused about the point Father Barbour was making in this video, is it that God created everything for Jesus and for Mary?I find it hard to accept given colossians 1:15-16, thanks for your work/ help, God bless.
Thou I am certain it's been covered in the past, please consider a podcast regarding our youth leaving the faith. Most specifically at the time of confirmation. As parents and catechists, how do we reach them?
Show them the joy of having a loving Church. Show them the Joy of asking our mother to let us sit on her lap and embracing us with loving arms, as we listen to her tell us about her memories of Her son, through the Rosary. Show emotions when talking about our faith. BE JOYFULL.
Kids at this age are generally pre-teen or early teens. I think it helps to have a practicing family to model devotion. I also think that finding a church that models reverence for the Holy Eucharist..maybe going to a Latin Mass. Also teaching your children about the churches Saints, Apparitions, and miracles helps to give them something to tangibly connect with. Like the Italian teen that was just canonized..(Carlo...?) Or one of the many modern young saints that makes all this real to them. Miracles of the Eucharist are always amazing, or informing them of one of Our Lady's many visits, we also have Divine Mercy with Jesus, and an image to prove it! They don't teach about these things in prep classes. I personally never learned about them till I turned 50! All of these things were amazing and set me on fire for my faith! I hope these suggestions help!
It's been 7 years for me, to Jesus through Mary "consecration". Firstly, this part of returning to God the way He came to us is SO beautiful and enlightening! I REALLY love that! --And, I was never quite comfortable with the term consecration, either; it doesn't fit to say "consecrated to Mary" but rather we must say consecrated to JESUS, yet through Mary. --Because like father said, consecration is to dedicate one's self to God, not a creation of His, no matter how precious she may be to Him, or the significance she has in the Plan of salvation. --Now, "entrustment" truly sounds like it fits, with respect to the Blessed Mother. This is why I have never said that I am "consecrated to Mary" but rather will always say "to Jesus THROUGH Mary". THIS clarification and further explanation, actually is now making my entrustment to Mary more understandable and endearing....THANKS to C.A. and you, Father, for this. Thanks SO MUCH!!! ❤
New Catholic here having trouble with some of my old Protestant feelings: my understanding is that the work of our salvation is done in us by the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit does not come to us via Mary. She received the HS along with the other apostles on Pentecost. So to return to Jesus the way he comes to us would be through consecrating ourselves to the Holy Spirit, not our Lady. Any thoughts?
Mary is symbolic of the Church, the new Eve, the Ark amidst the flood, God chose to establish a: one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church (Mary) to convey the means of sanctifying grace - Mary is the “mellifluous” aka, an ABUNDANCE of sweetness and grace, foreshadowing “milk and honey” the Promised Land; not our Savior but our Mother to lead us to her Son, Christ . The Church is the Ark, which bestows Baptism, and all of the Sacraments for our sanctification…we cannot save ourselves in isolation. ❤🙏🏼🕊️
@@jamesdriscoll4125 Thank you, a lovely elucidation of Marian theology. But this seems in conformity with the historical tendency within the Church to sideline the Holy Spirit. The HS has been called the "missing person of the Trinity" as a critique by some Catholic theologians of Catholic spiritual life. Of course that isn't true. The HS can't be missing. But it does seem as if increasingly as time moves forward that the functions of the HS in the Body of Christ have been theologically reassigned to the Mother of God. Maybe this does not ultimately matter. But it does seem as if the more we hear about Mary, the less we hear about the HS. I do feel that Catholics with strong Marian devotion and well as Catholic Mariologists need to work harder to show us how the HS works in this model, and is still central, as God, and relevant to our salvation.
I just joined the catholic church nearly 4 months ago. I havnt had my sacraments but really want to get into Rcia soon ! this seems really cool and i really want to do it. Is it wrong if i do the concecration if sacraments yet?? ( i dont know as im a newbey) :)
Please ask your priest, because Would be better to have possibility of confession & Eucharist, they go hand in hand, plus you need to have an idea whats Catholic faith teach.. but could be fine, just be learning to do the Rosary but enquery with a priest in your nearby Church, God bless your journey & May Mother Mary bring you closer to Her Son our redeemer 🙏❤️🔥✝️✅
You also won’t find Bible-Alone in the Bible. You presume that if something is not found in the Bible it must therefore be false. Yet that presumption isn’t even biblical. In fact, there’s not one Bible-Alone Christian before the 1500’s. All Christians were called Catholic for the 1st 1500 years. Then one man changed the bible and started his own church (Martin Luther). It still blows my mind that his followers didn’t go ballistic when he removed books from the bible! Luckily, they got so upset when he wanted to remove the book of James that he relented and didn’t remove it. Ironically, Luther had a devotion the Mary. Crazy world, eh? ❤️
How can this be harmful if it makes you love Jesus more and helps one to change to become a more selfless person and a better person practicing one’s faith in a deeper way ! And how can anyone Love Mother Mary more than Jesus ? Jesus was completely trustful under Mother Mary until he became of age . Jesus was obedient unto St Joseph / Mother Mary . God designed this ; it’s good 😊

You forgot the next verse 1 Timothy 2:6. If you read it in context with verse 6, then you will better understand the meaning of verse 5. If you separate the two verses, then it causes contradictions: you could never pray for anyone, because you’d be mediating for them. Thus, ever other verse in Scripture about praying for each other would be contradictions to Jesus being the only one. No, what Paul is pointing to, understood if you read verse 5 & 6 together, is Christ’s mediation of death on the cross. That’s Christs’s one mediation between God and Man. Nobody else could be that mediator because nobody else is both fully God and fully man. But we can participate in Christ’s mediation when we pray for each other. And the saints in heaven can pray for us. We are, as we know, surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. And they are alive in Christ, for “God is the God of the Living, and not the dead”. ❤️

There is absolutely no need to try and convince schism Christians to return to the one true Apostolic church. We always pray that their hearts soften and they finally receive the true church of Jesus Christ. Let’s keep praying for those lost souls. You say only Jesus is “needed”… well, angels aren’t needed. We aren’t needed. God doesn’t need anything. He chooses to give us angels, saints, Mary. But early Christians were not Bible-Alone Christians. The Catholic Church gave humanity the Bible, and until the invention of the printing press (1400’s), only churches and kings owned one because they cost a fortune. Anyway, hope that helps❤️
This is evil and blasphemous! Im absolutely appalled. I always had my suspicion that catholics took praising mary to far. The cat's out of the bag now and there should be repentance!
I'm Catholic, and I love the Blessed Mother. But I can't, despite exploring theology, history, traditions, and modern day argumentation, find it reasonable to consecrate myself to anyone but God. I want to think its something good, but to give all of yourself to a human rather than God, especially one who's alive in Heaven but passed away from the physical plane, feels demonic. I don't want to think this way, but I actually can't get past it.
Here's something I always wondered: "why do priests molest children?" I've read that hundreds of priests have been convicted of child molestation. Why hasn't the Church addressed this serious and systemic crime?
They have, the only reason you even know of it is because the church is so open about it and investigates it. If any other organization were to do it then almost all of them would have a similar reputation to the Catholic Church

The image of God has been replaced by the mirror, which is man. John 14:6 no one comes to the Father except by me. Give scriptural for this, rather than man.
Right- And Mary points us directly to Christ so that we can know the Father. This in no way goes against scripture. In fact, you really need to be calling Mary Blessed at the very least otherwise you are out of order regarding Luke 1:48 (see also Malachi 3:12)
And in Luke, Mary was right we all call her Blessed but she is not the meadiator, only Jesus is. Of course, we all love Mary for the gift that came from her.
Jesus said no one is good but the Father in heaven. Mary was blessed for sure but she needed a savior as we all do. I would not call her Holy, only God/Jesus/Holy spirit would be Holy. Mary was the vessel for our savior, she needed him too. Read your Bible, please. Prayers for you
Yes, Jesus saves us from our sins and if we follow him, saves us from temptations to commit other sins. Such is the case with Mary (Blessed Mary). A holy vessel was created by God and Blessed Mary was saved by Jesus from the temptation of sin.
@@jimberlygridder183 11 months late but decided to chime in. Quick question: Are you merely a vessel for your children, or are you a mother/father? The most important woman in the bible is Mary, obviously. Elizabeth calls Mary “the mother of Our Lord”, not the vessel of Our Lord. In fact, she said “WHO AM I THAT THE MOTHER OF OUR LORD SHOULD COME TO ME?”. Wow! She was blown away that she was singled out to be the one that Mary, mother of our Lord, would be sent to. Can you imagine what an honor it was to be the mother of our Savior - to carry God the Son in your own womb for 9 months?! Amazing! What amount of honor could any of us give Mary that would even come close to the honor heaped upon her by the Father when He made her the human mother of His divine Son? We can’t possibly honor her too much. Here, God created a masterpiece of humanity yet we should fear honoring her more even then He did? Impossible. On a personal note, Mary is the reason I came to Jesus. As at Cana, she pointed the way to her Son. ❤️

Mary was used as a vessel to bring the Lord to Earth but the amount of devotion and what is said about Mary crosses the line. It would be great if the Catholic Church could be reformed from within but you all need to start with getting rid of the Mary baggage. Our focus should be on God. What is said about Mary makes her out to be the 4th member of the Trinity and she will never be so.
Don't you protestants ever get tired? Our focus IS on God and no catholic would ever say Mary is the 4th member of the Trinity! 😂 Did you even watch the video? If you're really interesed on what the Catholic Church teaches about Mary you could start with some of the videos right here on the Catholic Answers channel so you can learn the truth about our teachings and stop spreading lies about our faith. Have a nice day 💙
@huwhitekat, you're arguing against a strawman: Protestants, instead of finding out what Catholics mean about x, put their own erroneous meaning on it then say Catholics are wrong about x. Even pastors regularly do this. Being Catholic is like being Willy Wonka whom people refuse to listen to even though he constantly repeats himself (in the factory).
This guy is explaining it perfectly. Im glad I watched this. I HAVE FELT SOMETHING IS VERY EERIE AND WRONG WITH TJIS MARY WORSHIP THATS GOING ON...OR THE INSERTION OF MARY TO INTERCEDE OR INTRUST URSELF TO MARY. ..AND IT IS INDEED WRONG. Jesus asking His desciple to take care of His mother on earth does not in any way mean we need to insert her into any of our spiritual relationship with God through Christ Jesus. There is one mediator between God and man..that is Christ. Not any saint..not any of Christs earthly family. Christ was Son of God..and sinless. Nooone else on earth has ever been worthy. This is not scriptural. This is a doctrine of devils. Please stop this practice. You insert devils in between you and God. These Mary apparitions ask people to pray to her. I consecrated myself to Jesus through Mary and my husband passed away the following year. I believe that my 5 kids and I were able to cope because she was taking care of us. Thank you Father!
Good for you Maria God loves you a lot and Mary as well.
May the love of God be with you always
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Oh Maria, ohne Sünde empfangen, bitte für uns, die wir zu dir unsere Zuflucht nehmen.

For anyone reading this who has also carefully read the New Testament: Imagine you found a lost letter from Paul that said, " After the Holy Spirit is given, there shall come yet another comforter and advocate. To her you shall entrust your entire being. For she is the way to Jesus, and she alone is the reason God came."
Considering everything you've read from Paul; it would be difficult to put into words how surprising that would be. It would be shocking actually, and you would rightly think it was a forgery. Now include every other writer of the New Testament as well as Christ Himself. Think of everything they said and then compare it with what this lost letter says.
Yeah. This is what Roman Catholicism would have us believe about Mary.

Fr. Hugh is great
Look at it like this ppl - when we date someone and get to know their parents, we get to know our partner better and love them better.
I understand that Mary and the saints are able to pray for us and we can even ask them to pray for us when we come before God in prayer, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit...."where two or three are gathered together in my name I am there with you."
I don't mind including the Hail Mary in my prayers and also often ask the saints to pray for my intentions......but my focus when I pray is always on Jesus, God Our Father and the Holy Spirit.
Mary humbly submitted to God...and in her humility would not want to eclipse Jesus her son in any way..."Do whatever He tells you...."
The Marian movement of popular piety with all it's emotional baggage attached to private revelations from the past Louis De Montfort, Medjugorje etc. has been getting out of hand. if anyone's feelings are hurt by this I am sorry, but it had to be said.
This was so perfectly said and exactly how I feel. It all seems a bit unnecessary.
@@LN-jc4ez we aren’t saying we are getting to the Father through Mary. Rather Mary is pointing us to her son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
i couldn't agree more.
I recommend you guys read The Secret of the Rosary by st. Louis de Montfort
My just started her consecration.
Father was going on with the thought of when you consecrate, entrust yourself to Jesus, or Mary or St Joseph; we might forget, but they do not forget. I wanted him to go on with that idea of they do not forget.
Maybe he forgot 😉
Me too.

God bless.

So wonderfully done. Thank you

@deborahpraise5566 I agree with you. The host of the show acts like the "class clown" with his immature comments and interruptions.

Does anyone know if you can consecrate someone you know but have no authority over? like a friend?
New Catholic here having trouble with some of my old Protestant feelings: my understanding is that the work of our salvation is done in us by the Holy
Spirit.
The difference between Eve and Mary is this: the voice they listened to.

Ok, I can not find any section of the bible that states to worship Mary or that she prays for you
You also won’t find Bible-Alone in the Bible. ❤️

Interesting question. Why Consecration our self to Mary and not the Holy Spirit of God (which is God).
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

So it’s just assumptions
As someone who comes from a bible only church, so much of catholicism is so foreign from christian doctrine where only Jesus is needed.

Here's something I always wondered: "why do priests molest children?"
I've read that hundreds of priests have been convicted of child molestation.
Why hasn't the Church addressed this serious and systemic crime?
Check out Father Chris Alar - Church scandals- he addresses it completely.
Why do protesant and j_e_wish pastors and ra_bbi's has higher number of abusers than the Catholic Church, even Billy Graham's grandson admitted it?

@@ToothTwister77 yes. Even the Angel of God the Archangel Gabriel condescended to come visiting Mary and greet her " full of Grace ".
@@evannongrum3718 Amen!
Malachi 3:12 has nothing to do with Mary, its about tithing and offerings. They were not honoring God.
Prayers for you
The Bible is a catholic book written by Catholics.
Yes, Jesus saves us from our sins and if we follow him, saves us from temptations to commit other sins. Such is the case with Mary (Blessed Mary). A holy vessel was created by God and Blessed Mary was saved by Jesus from the temptation of sin.
Yes you are correct. I cant believe what Im hearing from these people. They are placing Mary on par with Jesus...NO NO NO.

Mary was used as a vessel to bring the Lord to Earth but the amount of devotion and what is said about Mary crosses the line. It would be great if the Catholic Church could be reformed from within but you all need to start with getting rid of the Mary baggage. Our focus should be on God.
