    doesn't the circular fingering motion ruin the sterilization? also, you might put one drop of BLUE food coloring in - that's what Chicagoans do to get that "atomic green" color we associate with Chicago relish

      No, because it has not gone through the canning process yet and you must check for nicks and cracks...or...you'll get a bursted jar in the canner.

      We FINALLY got Vienna Beef Hot Dogs in California, said THIS CHICAGO NATIVE DAUGHTER.
      THIS recipe is NOT Chicago relish, its just everyday sweet relish. You can purchase this relish anywhere.

    Why antibacterial soap? That soap did not exist in kitchen before and they still made preserves. In my opinion its over top .

      Chicago style relish? That’s a mix of Lori Lightweight and her racist approach to being mayor. I would have guessed red. To match the bloodshed the city experiences due to poor leadership and being overrun by criminals who use illegal guns. Law abiding citizens deserve better

      It's just a lot of steps in canning most things! It's hard work but so worth it.

    I ran over here because I saw~~CHICAGO relish. This is NOT neon green CHICAGO relish you get at the VIENNA BEEF hot dog stands. And NEVER EVER put ketsup on a hot dog. Ugggg pooop
