Shiki Sai literally means celebration of the 4 seasons in Japanese. Based on your video (which I love by the way) it looks like they are going for authenticity on the sushi and izakaya menu options. Out of the hundreds of sushi restaurants I've visited in Japan, only 2 had specialty rolls and they both went bankrupt. Sushi roll specialties are an American thing. I love them but I love the food you guys ordered and the other menu options more.

I love Publix sushi. $5 Wednesday special, with their spicy yum yum sauce. Sooooo good!

I love sushi and sashimi! Next time I go, I am going to order the salmon sashimi and the beef.

That co has been in business like 300 years. They are clearly above average at what they do. Imagine Japan with an actual ride entered via the castle. Some day. When are we going to Japan?

I agree and then just a skip, hop and a jump across to Australia that would be sick!

There's Disney overpriced, and then there's overpriced overpriced. Almost $30 for that sushi roll is insane. It's also frustrating that $30 is the price apparently needed for basic sushi that isn't extremely fancy or supermarket quality.

Thanks for the Video. I just wanted to say you made my husband’s day when we were at EPCOT last week. He was so excited to meet you both. Thanks for the pin.

Are you going to review the restaurants at the Four Seasons on Disney property? I have heard great things about Capa and Ravello's.

Hmmm….maybe. Hadn’t considered those. We’ve eaten at Capa and it’s really good!

The food definitely looked fresh, albeit overpriced. I have to mention that an Izakaya is not meant to be a sushi bar/restaurant. It primarily serves small plates to be shared while enjoying drinks (usually beer or sake). I would give it another try, but order items like karaage, okonomiyaki, takoyaki and such. It’s probably still overpriced but you may find something new to like 😊

Might have to. But why is it called “Sushi Izakaya” if it’s not focused on sushi?

@@AddictedtotheMouse I know… guess it’s because they are trying to do both? They probably realize that sushi is a bigger draw as a lot of people won’t be familiar with Izakaya. The restaurant itself looks lovely! I’d love to go try it, but we have such amazing sushi here (Vancouver, BC), I think I’d rather do a different restaurant. Unless I’m doing the DDP lol!
