Hi Dan and Leslie!! You both look so nice - all fancy!! So appreciate your honesty and objectivity with these dining reviews. There was nothing on the menu either Hubby or I would consume. Thanks for saving us a lot of money!!!!
Thanks again for showing the plant based option. That looked pretty disappointing. I am not a fan of pre fixe menus either! California Grill used to be a favorite.
Thank you for your review! Unfortunately it sounds like it changed after closing and isn’t worth it to me. Thanks for saving me money and time. I might try morimoto this time. Unfortunately my go to fine dining Bull & Bear is under construction right now.
I'm feeling pretty good about our Monsieur Paul reservation for this upcoming trip. I was considering all the high end spots for our kid free night and it seems Monsieur Paul is spot on for price/quality/service in this category.
I really appreciate your detailed and objective reviews. Have you ever done the Omakase Experience at Morimoto Asia? It is served upstairs at the sushi bar and must be pre-booked (currently $250/p). I did it a few years ago and it was as good as some Michelin 2- and 3-star meals I've had.
Thanks for sharing Dan and Leslie. Wanted to eat here, but can’t justify the price. After your review I am comfortable with my choice to pass on this experience.
What a treat to be able to visit the high end Japanese restaurant at EPCOT! I’ve always wanted to go there. I may be wrong, but it sounded like Dan and Leslie haven’t been to Japan? Their descriptions of the food sounded like high end Japanese cuisine based on my visits. Typically traditional high-end Japanese food has much less seasoning than Americans are used to, and strives to present the natural taste of the ingredients. It stresses freshness, natural flavors, and presentation which seems to have been executed perfectly here, at least as far as one can tell from a video. FYI, all sushi but sashimi is intended to be eaten with fingers. You can use chopsticks as well but the rice will often fall apart.
Thank you for this review, we were on the fence about going as vegans, with a leaning towards not and having watched this I think it’s helped us feel confident in our decision to spend our money elsewhere 🙏
Excellent review. We have the most AMAZING Japanese chef in our (smallish) city in Canada - I'm so spoiled when it comes to quality and choice that I've become super fussy about Japanese food in general, but especially sushi. I don't mind the prix-fixe, but the limited choices would not work for me. Morimoto (again) it is! :)
In Japan it's not customary to make substitutions in a meal, you are expected to just eat a meal the way it is served and prepared. Many restaurants in Japan won't even make substitutions or adjustments.
Omakase literally means "I'll leave it up to you" so it just seems silly to choose this type of dining experience and complain about not being able to order what you want.
I would never pay that much money for a plant based meal. Meat isn’t bad for you; with that said, I understand why some people are vegans, and I respect that. If you’re trying to eat healthy, just cut out processed sugar and foods.
Not saying they’re horrible for you but there is pretty clear evidence that plant based eating is more heart healthy. Not to mention anecdotally, my stomach feels way better not eating a ton of red meat
I am delighted to report that you are absolutely correct, Dan. But we don’t have to believe just you - you are backed up by the World Health Organisation. And the American Heart Association. And the British Heart Foundation. And the European Society of Cardiology. And multiple peer-reviewed studies by Dr Caldwell Esselstyn. And Dr Michael Greger. And Dr Dean Ornish. And Dr T. Colin Campbell. And the China Study. Oh and I’ll just slip in the class II carcinogen status and the significant link to bowel cancer while I’m at it. But I really shouldn’t get so exercised by people spreading misinformation on the internet… 🙄😂😂😂
These reviews are perfection! Thank you, Dan and Leslie. Love the honesty of your experiences. 🙌
Your channel is the best for food reviews and Disney tips!
Thanks!

😂 no problem!
I wonder what kind of oil they use for the tempura! Better without the breading, agreed. I cannot wait to try Wagyu. So healthy!
i have a disney trip coming up. could y’all do a chef de france video!
ive wanted to try this, so have it reserved in a few weeks. Hope its good, your review has me questioning a little.
Hope you love it!

Thanks! Just took that off my list!

Nope, haven’t been there, but want to go. Yeah, I’ll never be cool with eating sushi with my fingers 😂
Dan went PLANT based!!!!!!!!!!!!! love it!
Thank you for your reviews - you are right spending that much you expect 5 stars - morimoto for us
Thanks for this review!!! I would absolutely hate fried veggies as well.
What a tourist trap!! Definitely not worth it. 😮. Thank you for the honest review ❤
Can I just say…Leslie’s purse!!! Amazeballs ❤
Thanks!!
This review has solidified my decision to go to Monsieur Paul.
I agree! I am not a fan at all of Pre-fix menus!
im steering clear of that place!
Thank you for this review, we were on the fence about going as vegans, with a leaning towards not and having watched this I think it’s helped us feel confident in our decision to spend our money elsewhere 🙏
Not sure if you like Mediterranean cuisine, but Spice Road Table has some options you might enjoy

Agreed!
Wow disappointing. I can't believe Dan's meal was $150! What a feast of sushi PLUS you can get at Morimoto for that $$$.
For that amount of money you should be able to swap out which items you prefer for free

Seems silly to comment that it seems silly 🤷♂️
Too expensive for sushi Def morimoto for me
